I've decided to make this game NOC because that's what the majority of players seem to like. Nothing else in the ruleset has been changed. RN mafia is a game that's an adaptation of mafia in the form it was originally played. This game will be hosted by me and eclipse. On to the rules. 1. This is a 9 player game 2. All discussion of this game between players has to happen in the game thread and the mafia PM. 3. Everyone is a vanilla 4. This is a town versus mafia game 5. Instead of the preset cycle of day-night, a voting system is used: 5.1. The game will begin in day phase and everyone has three voting options: ##Vote: Player, ##vote: end phase and ##Unvote 5.1.1. You may only vote for one player at a time, you may not simultaneously vote for a player and vote to end the phase 5.1.2. ##Vote: null serves as an unvote for both other 5.1.3. ##Vote: No lynch is not a valid vote in this game 5.1.4. ##Vote: Player Is obviously a lynch vote for this player. 5.2. As soon as the lynch votes for one player reach a majority, this player will be lynched. 5.2.1. Majority is defined as more than 50% of all votes. (when there's an even number of players, half of the votes plus one means majority etc.) 5.2.2. Upon death, all players reveal their alignment 5.2.3. Lynching a player does not end day phase. Day phase will go on after a lynch 5.2.4. Players will be lynched as soon as the hosts spot a majority has been reached 5.3 As soon as the votes to end the phase reach a majority, the game will enter night phase. 5.3.1. During night phase, there will be no voting, though talking is allowed 5.3.2. The living mafia members must select a player to kill this night phase. They will be given 48 hours to choose their target, if they do not meet this requirement, the hosts will randomly select a player(this includes the mafia members) 5.3.3. As soon as the hosts spot the mafia's choice, the selected player will be killed unconditionally 5.3.4. Upon death, all players reveal their alignment 5.3.5. After this kill, the game goes back to day phase 5.3.6. If no mafia members are alive, no kill will occur 5.4. Town will not be told they've won. They have to go through a night phase and have no one get killed to confirm their win. 5.4.1. Along the same lines, town will not be told when they are in "mislynch or lose" or "lynch or lose" scenario's 5.5 In order to speed the game up, we will run 72 hour timers during the day phase. In these 72 hours, players have to achieve a majority. If a majority has not been formed in these 72 hours, the hosts will do whatever has the most votes at that point. 5.5.1. In case of a lynch vote tie between two or more players, one will randomly be lynched 5.5.2. In case of a lynch vote tie between one or more players and night phase vote, night phase vote wins and the game will enter night phase 5.5.3 In case of no votes being cast, the game will enter night phase automatically 6. The goal of the town is to eliminate all mafia 7. The goal of the mafia is to achieve parity with the town, when the amount of mafia members and town members alive are equal Non-game specific rules: 1. You may not edit your posts, not even for grammar 2. After dying you may not post again until the game has ended, no exceptions 3. Don't screenshot things, and certainly don't post those 4. You are not free to quote everything of what little of a role PM you get 5. You may not quote everything the hosts say without our direct permission 6. The hosts reserve the right to forcibly sub or modkill you for inactivity. This will only occur after more than 48 hours of unannounced inactivity on the player's part. 7. Don't break the game. 8. If no one posts for 48 hours during the day phase, the game will immediately end as a universal loss sign up list: 1. Prims - cool with OC 2. Elieson - cool with OC 3. BBM - cool with OC 4. Mancer - cool with OC 5. Cam - cool with OC 6. Doofina - cool with OC 7. Shin 8.
