I love fire emblem
Still sounds gross to me. Also, if her games did badly, why did so many people want her in Smash? That's just odd to me. Beyonetta isn't for everyone, and can understand that. Even though her games did not sell well, the games themselves were praised by critics and gained a bunch of fans through her decent story telling and great gameplay. Cloud: While I think FFVII is a bit overrated, I liked that they included him in the game so that he can be the Square Enix rep and he looks like a character I will have fun using. Corrin: Unnecessary, but at least his movesets are unique compared to everyone else's movesets. Beyonetta: Did not expected her to be in the game, but let's say I squealed like a little school girl when they revealed her. So overal I thought it was good, even if Corrin is unnecessary. DodgeDusk
Mii Costumes: Indifferent towards them. I very rarely use Miis, so it felt like I'd be wasting money if I bought any of them. Some of the costumes are hilarious(ly bad), though! Mewtwo: Ah yes, bring back the legendary from the first generation of a franchise I love. Mewtwo, in my opinion, should have never left the roster. I remember being genuinely excited when I saw the wire-frame model pop up during the Smash presentation last year. Got for free Lucas: Again, indifferent. I'm not a fan of the Mother series (specifically, Earthbound), so that's probably why. Great for people who wanted him back, though. Didn't buy Roy: Binding Blade is one of my favourite FE games, alongside Genealogy of the Holy War. I remember using Roy a lot back when I played Melee, so seeing the leaks for the first time got me quite happy. Though I don't think his fight style represents his FE6 incarnation all too well (outside of some attacks), Smash 4 Roy represents how Sakurai envisioned Roy back when Melee was in development. He has a lot more personality now compared to Melee, even if, in my opinion, it doesn't reflect who Roy actually is. It's hard to explain, but I do like it. Bought him Ryu: Objectively, his inclusion is absolutely amazing. I'm not fond of SF myself, but I won't deny how great Ryu being in Smash is. Like Lucas, I have no attachment to Ryu, so I didn't buy him Cloud: Like Ryu, Cloud's inclusion is huge. Unlike Ryu, however, I have some fond remembrance of FF7, so I might buy him. Undecided Corrin/Kamui: I'll be playing as Kamui in this game before I'll get my hands on Fates (yay for living in Europe), which hurts me. I don't care about the number of FE characters in this game; I just want to play as my transforming, sawsword-wielding avatar Bayonetta: I don't even know how to respond to her inclusion, other than I find it great than an IP almost doomed to death is now surviving on a Nintendo console, and will forever me immortalised as a Smash character. I probably won't buy her (not a fan of her games), but I think her inclusion surprised me the most So, to sum it up, I think Smash's DLC has been great, and I think there's a character for everyone. Sakurai's done a good job
CrimeanRoyalKnight
Her games were bad? Bayonetta 2 is critically acclaimed and both games are very well made, although they have their little flaws. Still sounds gross to me. Also, if her games did badly, why did so many people want her in Smash? That's just odd to me. It's also odd to me. Bayonetta is niche... I think she was chosen because she was pretty high in America and first in Europe, but mostly because Sakurai is friends with her creator, Hideki Kamiya, not because of ballot votes. And yeah I don't recommend Bayonetta to you, it's very violent and shameless in those regards, therefore you have all the rights to find it disgusting. But what I was trying to say is that it's not really fanservice done to sell like Camilla or Zero or whathever, it's more like an artistic choice, because after all, the creators fought with the marketing department to keep her as she is. Anacybele
Yeah, it doesn't sound like my kind of game at all, that's for sure. But I see. I will admit, her outfit doesn't look as fanservicy as Camilla, it was some other things I saw that turned me off like the vagina thing... And the boobs thing you mentioned. Florete
Fun fact: Bayonetta's designer - who happens to be a woman - designed her as a female power fantasy.
Fire Emblem Fan
Overall, I'm happy. There are some things I'm disappointed with, though. I wish Wolf had come back, and I wish that King K. Rool and Isaac had been added as playable characters. I also wished for Lyn, but I understand that that probably isn't possible since she's already an Assist Trophy. But overall I'm happy, I feel like they put a lot of effort into pleasing fans and I appreciate that. I'm very happy to have Mewtwo, Lucas, and Roy back, and I'm eagerly awaiting Corrin. I didn't expect Bayonetta, and I do agree that she seems like a, uh..."adult" choice, but I'll reserve judgement until I try her out (hopefully some of the more "adult" things were toned down). I was initially weary about Cloud and Ryu, I think all 3rd-party content should be kept at an absolute minimum, but they both proved to be good additions. Cloud is proving to be my favorite newcomer (both overall and among the DLC newcomers) so far, and Ryu is fun to play as! And Ryu makes a certain amount of sense in that he goes along with the other gaming icons in the game already (Mario, Mega Man, Sonic, Pac-Man, etc.). Roflolxp54
Mii Fighter costumes: Meh, though lol'd at the Sonic-themed costumes (inb4 Sonic OCs intensifying) Cloud: Meh, I just don't really care much for him, especially as I'm not an FF fan. Corrin: Hyped, at least s/he's MUCH different when compared to other swordfighters and I honestly did not expect him/her. Bayonetta: Must be quite the silent majority (or silent massive minority) voting for her with all of the talk of Shantae, King K. Rool, and Shovel Knight (not to mention vets like Wolf and Snake) and I wasn't expecting her at all. I can definitely see that the team put in a lot of work on her as she's the ballot winner with all the fanservice, combo potential, and allowing players to be complete jerks by inputting her cancel-able dance taunt. Mewtwo: Happy since he's a non-clone Melee vet Roy: Very happy; currently the character I use the most (may be subject to change once the other DLC characters come out) Lucas: Happy, not much to say here Ryu: Happy, not much to say here It can be a trend of having at least 1 video game character from an M-rated video game series to appear in Smash Bros. since we got Snake in Brawl, and Bayonetta in SSB4, assuming that there are future SSB games. I do have my own ballot wishlist but I was already aware that my wished-for fighters (Lyn from FE7, Anna from FE13/14, and Asuka from Senran Kagura) had no chance whatsoever so all-in-all, I'm pretty happy with what we got. Junkhead
Bayonetta 2 was advertised in Playboy. It's that kind of game. Or did you not know that all of her special attacks that put her in that one-piece in smash should be fully stripping her? Oh, she was talking about her...thought she was talking about "Corrin". Also, playboy wut. I'm out.

MisterIceTeaPeach
It was my very first reaction when I read the names, so don't really bother with my comment. And yeah, I have bias. Bayonetta: One of the most ugliest videogame characters for me. Kamui: Oh, hey! It's really Fire Emblem Smash Bros now! [spoiler=My wish comes closer!] I only was hoping for the veterans Snake, Wolf and Ice Climbers, but Nintendo didn't fulfill me this little request. Sunwoo
I wasn't expecting anything at all. I wasn't even at home for most of today and missed the direct. Most of my passion for Smash dried up and I just play it occasionally now. But in all honesty, I'm not happy that Kamui was included. It's not even because FE has "too many reps" or whatever people are saying. I just really fucking hate Kamui. (And yes, I have played Fates.) DeadGame
Might wanna add a "disappointed" or "unsatisfied" option, although I assume that counts as "meh". Bayonetta is an OK choice (Could've hit us far worse, plus even I am fine with her character design), but Corrin is just completely unnecessary. Promotion, promotion, promotion, way to celebrate 25 years.
BrightBow
The Smash DLC is utterly amazing. Everything we got is actual content, not paying to removing restrictions in the game that had no business existing in the first place. What I mean is this: Imagine if IS was responsible for the DLC. Something they would definitely do is to sell grinding shortcuts to get money or equipment instead of actual new stuff.Smash is also designed to feel complete, no matter what you buy. There are no open slots to make the game feel incomplete, like Code Name S.T.E.A.M. does or apparently Fates. The DLC access also isn't intrusive. Like, compare Hyrule Warriors shameless pop-ups in the main menu or Awakening's giant purple glowing world map spot. And I doubt that it's coincidence that they put the entrance to the shop into the same place as the maps that you already purchased. So in this time and age, I really respect the way Sakurai handled the DLC. This is how to treat the people who pay money for your products. As for the selection and the quality of the content itself, it's great. Besides the lack of Custom moves, they really put a lot of effort into them, be it entirely new characters like Ryu or veterans like Roy. (...although I have no idea why they decided to make Mewtwo even lighter.) It's also a great selection of characters in general. We've got three beloved veterans back and they added three iconic third-party characters. We also got Kamui but they can't all be winners. Obviously I have my own preferences about who I would have liked to see added, just like everyone else has. But it's hard to deny that we got a pretty damn neat selection of characters. I suppose I could have been happier with stages. I would have definitely preferred that the N64 stages would receive an appropriate visual overhaul, like Mario Kart does with it's retro tracks. Still, it's nice to have a wider selection of actual playable stages. Although it does suck that in order to get Ryu, you also have to buy his stage, considering that this stage utterly sucks. The costumes are also good for what they are, although it is somewhat disappointing that unlike the regular costumes, the color of the Mii has barely any effect on them, if any. Not much else to really say about them. But I definitely did end up buying a lot more of them I expected. Great Geargia Gateway
I think we can all say it was very anti-climactic.*Cloud pops up.* What are the possibilities, where are the Limits to who is going to make it into Sm4sh? Goku, Correy, Pichu? But we got Corrin, and even M2K and Omni didn't know who they were. Beyonetta, I think we can all admit was nice all over; design, play style, effects, etc. But didn't have a bigger effect than Cloud or what Sora, Wolf, Snake, Geno, Shovel Knight, Shantae, King K. could have achieved. Cloud. Cloud. Clewd. Can you turn into a square shape smash Clewd. Cloud set the bar pretty high. Should have been left till last. I'm excited for Beyo, but at the moment of announce, I wasn't feeling the hype. Cuz Clewd.

Regardless of what one may feel about what content they offered, it feels like it's all bonus content that they worked hard on outside the production time of the main game. I'd also call it fairly priced and flexible so you can just buy the content you want. Plus they let fans have some input on what they wanted for DLC which was pretty neat. If ever there was a developer with respect and devotion to his fans, it's Sakurai.

I felt that you tried to make Bayonetta a lot more perverted than it truly is by mentioning the Playboy advertisement. Bayonetta is clearly aimed at an adult audience and has strong, sexual themes, but it's not porn.
maybe
all of it is good but i'll just say i'm more hyped for the Geno costume than I am for Corrin aside from him all the dlc looks pretty great! hell, even that one looks great I just don't like it aside from the silly Rayquaza jokes bayonetta is a cool inclusion, haven't played the game (should I I've wanted to for a while but I don't have an xbox or wii u and I heard the ps3 port is terrible) ryu is especially cool, I've used him in like capcom fighting games (marvel vs capcom etc.) but never really played street fighter roy is really fun lucas i haven't bought mewtwo i played as a little he's okay cloud is like the most fun to play as character though cloud vs cloud is the best match ever i recommend you all do it a few times if you haven't already due to everyone wanting to be cloud since new also I must ask is anyone else looking forward to playing as The actual Knuckles, trapped in the real world/Bluckles or is that just me Edited December 16, 2015 by maybe
PuffPuff
Confirmed that they are going to leave the characters designs alone! -.- First time that we get English voices.too! Like Elise's Sakura's and Xandar's Ryoma's is kind of formal making you want to side with Nohr first. Xandar does it right. His voice makes you feel like wanting to go with him. Because he is not so forceful and does it in a calm and mature manner! <3 PICK SMASH! PICK SMASH! PICK SMASH! YES! Barefoot will bring foot fetishers fanservice! Husbando service here! Dragon Fang Attack! (Going crazy with hype!) <3 Yikes. =o Like the Viridi mii, her hair design is very well done! Talk about Waifu syndrome! The Final Yato! Luna! The Luna attack is in! Sol made it in...too! :D YES! Corrin 5 star of hype. Knew we'd get a rep from this game! Though I was expecting either Corrin's kid or Ryoma/Xandar to be our guest. But a rep from this game is of no surprise. Because of Fates preorders selling out and upping the popularity of Fire Emblem(Wish Advanced Wars got more love!)is why that we get yet ANOTHER FE REP! YES! SON KUN IS HERE! Cross Slash! Blade Beam! Climbhazzard! My favorite FF Summon makes it's debut! :D GENO! MY FAVORITE MARIO CHARACTER! :D Gonna develop him right away! Already made her. Just need the outfit! Dragon Quest hero! YES! Nice! As I've made them...too. Son Kun&Mii Outfits Well...this is nce! But...putting Ryu in makes the game too cheesy and weird! Son Kun however does not! Shit. -.- Fanservice! May have to make this game T rated! Villager. Nice try. =P Son Kun is bewitched! D: Bayonetta Shocking...but she is the one who the Smash Ballet's chosen. The other two were out of request. So...her and the DLC Mii outfits are our winners. But...having Ryu and the Virtua Fighter characters in makes the game too cheesy and weird! x.x But...all aboard the hype train for Corrin and Son Kun. CrimeanRoyalKnight
More than anything Bayonetta is extremely cheeky and provocative, but I mean, she didn't get attacked by tentacles when they had the chance to do so. The naughtiest thing in the games that I can think of is the torture attack for Joys. She is like a diva who acts in sexy and provocative ways, but not a porn star.
