Lances are a subdivision of polearms which are also related to the naginata and the trident which are considered cool by Japanese and Atlanteans respectively while lances themselves are considered cool by pretty much everyone across Europe. I think I saw someone comment somewhere that, due to him having part of Duma's power and the implication of Berkut kind of controlling witch Rinea, he would be immune to Rinea's flames and therefore, could theoretically. have sex with her. And IIRC, there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment where you can see Rinea touching his shoulder, but it's been a while since I've seen that cutscene. Also, Alm seemed more sad that every relative of his died in a short amount of time before he got to know them more than anything else.
