  1. Yeah, neither of you are getting what I mean. As I said, the OP doesn't sound like speculation so much as jumping to conclusions. It sounds like a complaint that would come from someone who has already played the game. How do you know "how quick and willing they are to strike you down" the opposite side actually is? We don't know the characters, the stakes, or what happens in between the choice and the grudge match in question. If you say you don't understand this part of the choice, I would say you're not supposed to yet. I never said there was anything wrong with speculation or this topic, but maybe people do need to calm down a bit...
  2. I know people want to analyze every pixel, but...we don't have the game yet. There could (and likely will) be a lot more context to this decision and the other character's reactions than what we've seen. This just really reeks of jumping to conclusions.
  3. Gengar was just announced. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbqNZ235cBk
  4. I wouldn't consider 100% anymore than completing all the challenges. Otherwise, you also could argue that one needs to do Classic on 9.0 with everyone, clear specific multi-man Smashes with everyone...hell, possibly even add "see every possible notification" to that list, and that could require thousands of multiplayer matches (I don't know what I'm at now, but a while back I got one for 5,000 matches).
  5. They're useful as healers and not for much else. Well, Rhys can hit enemies somewhat hard. Just make sure he isn't hit back. I prefer Mist, but both will get the job done.
  6. While I think Kamui's is the most visually appealing... I also agree with this. Voted Robin.
  7. While some can use them better than others, the only practical use for them ever is what Radiant head mentioned. There's never a reason to use them for actual combat.
  8. ...What? How can you say Wolf feels different based on run speed and jump height but that Fox and Falco feel too similar? Fox and Falco are way different when it comes to physics, especially those two things. Falco is very noticeably slower and has a higher jump.
  9. I know I've got all the reward conditions cleared for co-op events, but I don't think I have them all cleared on Hard. One day.
  10. Doesn't it stand to reason that a unit who kills faster than another has an advantage over that unit? The problem with killing in two rounds exists when other units can kill in one. And if you can use Meg in Hard mode, you should be good enough at the game such that units who kill in one round aren't in danger of dying, because this game's enemies aren't that strong. You're hyping up Meg's durability as the reason she's so useful (which is funny because hers isn't even very good on account of 60/35 HP/Def growths), but as long as others can kill faster, reach enemies quicker, and still not die, there's no point to her.
  11. I would never use the "not a true fan" crap, though I do find it questionable to like a series, yet not care if it continues unless 1) the series has truly ended, such as it being a trilogy and the 3rd concluded the entire story, or 2) you're only a fan insofar as you like a specific game or subset of them but not really the series, in which case you shouldn't care about future installments and what features they have in the first place.
  12. Meg's tier 2 Speed cap: 22 SM tier 2 speed cap: 30 Meg's tier 3 Speed cap: 32 SM tier 3 Speed cap: 40 Meg has trouble doubling enemies in Normal mode. That is not "the speed of a Sword Master."
  13. If you enjoy the series, you should naturally want the series to expand. Whether or not you like how that happens is up to you, but that, at least, should be a universal desire among series fans. But all I meant was that your logic didn't follow. I don't care if my reasons are selfish and idealistic.
  14. Luck and Resistance are the most important stats. In this hypothetical world that is definitely not our own, I can see Meg being a great unit.
  15. That does not follow. I care if people play the game because I want others to enjoy it and support, as that allows for the continuation of the series and the expansion of the fanbase. How they play game doesn't (or shouldnt't) affect those things.
  16. Wow, this blew up fast. My view on this is the same as always: until we get a Fire Emblem game where perma-death means more than restarting the map, I am a-ok with casual mode. Yeah, the mechanic helped give the series an identity, but it's really never been implemented very well, so why alienate players for it? I also still think that classic mode should have some sort of extra that isn't available in casual to encourage people to play, because otherwise it only exists for the novelty. Just because it's never been implemented well doesn't mean they shouldn't give it incentive.
  17. So after what was probably a few months of stalling, I finally finished up the last of the solo event matches on hard. I did the one where you're Pit against 3 Dark Pits and you need to kill them with daybreak, one I remember being really hard for me before, but I managed to do it on my second try this time. Oh well. In fact, I did most of them (the ones I did today, that is) on my first or second try, including some I thought were harder. But the one that was really bullshit was Aura Mastery. The conditions here are: 1. You are fighting two enemies, a Wii Fit Trainer and a Sheik. 2. They are both invisible. 3. They both kill you in one hit with most attacks as a result of you being Lucario at 200 damage. 4. They each have two stocks (though you also have two). The rage. Max aura is powerful, but it's not like you can kill them in one hit each. I basically had to camp out by the edge spamming Force Palm and charging Shadow Ball whenever I got a chance, hoping to hit with it or the grab part of Force Palm for kills.
  18. Unless this discussion somehow pertains to fanart - which I am pretty sure it doesn't - it should not be happening here.
  19. Ironically, this also applies to Elibe. Enemy Pegasus Knights have the male con/aid formula.
  20. If the pairing is unappealing to you, fine. If it disturbs you, fine. We know. We don't care. Stop talking about it every time you see an avatar that looks exactly like yours.
  21. Does Robin's what have bad range? Specials certainly don't have bad range. Aerials overall have decent-good range. Down smash has decent range, though won't hit behind you without the Levin Sword. Forward smash is okay, its problem is mostly being slow. Up smash doesn't have very good range. Tilts are average.
  22. You said "any of his attacks." Not "any of his faster, easier to hit with attacks." And it takes good timing and prediction, just like PK Flash, which certainly isn't faster for it to actually kill at lower percents. I've used Ike's up smash to KO a Pac-Man off the top from the 60s and killed multiple times with forward smashes at the edge well below 100. It requires good reads, and that up smash had charge, but that's the kind of fighter Ike is.
