  1. 1. One of her alternate costumes is not enough. Daisy is fitting to make the cut for her longtime history and Daisy's final smash should be taking a baseball bat and knocking the opponent out of the ring to fit her tomboyish-like attitude. Should be paired with Luigi in the Smash game for absolute shipping like they did with Mario and Peach.

    2. Pac Man should have moves similar to Kirby except that he should spit out.

Do you really want to get more "copycats" in Smash Bros? This is really the last thing I want to see! SSBB had enough of them!

  2. wcyl.png

These four are likely going to make the cut. What do you guys think?

    Little Mac did. No surprise.

Pac Man will for sure. :D

Pkmn Trainer should either be Rosa, or Serena. Caleb works as well.

    Daisy. A must.

King K.Rool. This I agree. He has quite a history.

Bomberman may be my next guess.

Why should Daisy be added? We have enough Mario characters and princesses already! You can play as Peach and use her outfit.

What moves should Pac-Man get? I would prefer other characters from Namco. Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia would be more reasonable.

King K. Rool would be cool and possible, although he and the Kremlings are not used as enemies in the latest DK games.

  3. 64: Kirby, Pikachu, Captain Falcon

    Melee: Marth, Captain Falcon, Peach

Brawl: Kirby, Meta Knight, Game and Watch, Snake

I prefer light characters with good airgame. I was never good with slow, akward or heavy characters like DK, Bowser, Ganondorf, Zelda and EVEN Ike.

  4. Finally I got the JP copy of Tales of Vesperia and I am going to start to play it tomorrow besides ToX! I am very excited about it, because it will be a totally new challenge to play a game on Japanese, although I cannot speak and understand one word Japanese. I have played FE12 on JP, but that was not a big deal, because the icons and symbols helped to understand it fast without any JP knowledge.

Till the moment the translation patch will be released, I try to give my best. I have watched a few of episodes of the beginning of two LPs already, so I hope the entrance will not be too bad.

After I have played some parts, I will watch the LP till the point I came to understand the story.

I really hope, it will work.

  5. After resetting and watching lunatic+ stuff of "Interceptor" and Rey, I could beat finally chapter 2 after 10 tries!

I gave my avatar defense+, so I could use him more. In my first run I used Frederick too much and my avatar was underleveled. Now he is level 13. I think it is enough. Chapter 3 will be even worse, if Rey says it is the hardest chapter. I will take a break for the moment. The main point I hate that enemy skill are completly random. I always restarted, when an enemy has luna+ and hawkeye.

Thanks to all the people, who gave me the tips and instructions! Without your help, I would still stuck in chapter 2!

  6. Here are some of my favourites:

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Snowmad's Island

Kirby Triple Deluxe - Dirty & Beauty

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Ghirahim Battle

Fire Emblem Awakening - Divine Decree

Super Mario 3D World - Sunshine Seaside

    Kid Icarus - Dark Pit

Kirby's Return to Dream Land - Galacta Knight

There are some themes from the Sonic and Starfox series, which should be added as well.

  7. I only think that characters from the latest part of a game series should be added. The character rooster has to be be up to date. Series like Metroid, Mother and Fire Emblem are not as popular as Mario, Zelda, Kirby or Pokemon so they got less character spaces (2max). I think Lucas will be dropped as well, because Mother 3 is too old. Marth is the mascot of the FE series, so there is only one space left for another FE character. Roy was up to date in 2002 and Ike in 2008. And now I expect to see a character of FE13, because it is the latest game.

  8. I am a little bit surprised that still people think Ike will return.

Roy did not return in SSBB, because he was outdated, when SSBB came out. Ike replaced him, because the Tellius series was up to date at this moment. And six years later the Tellius series is outdated and there is no way to bring out a sequel of Radiant Dawn. That would not be fair and consequent by Nintendo, if Ike would stay while Roy was dropped.

A character of Awakening will join. It is only the question which character.

I think Ganondorf will stay in SSB, because he is the most evil villain of Nintendo and this game needs villains. It is the same reason, why Wolf should return. But Ganondorf needs a new moveset. He was just a copycat of Captain Falcon, who reminded me on a slow version of a character in the "Street Fighter" series. Ganondorf has to get attacks with his sword.

  9. Reviews
    Review of Ch1 and 2

Anyway during my start over for the fifth time after getting MU to LV9 before starting Ch 2. MU should be at 9, or 10 at that point before going any further.

Got help from this vid knowing my mistake. I used Freddie too much there (Ch1 and Ch2). MU has to at least be to LV12 and to have some uses of the Silver Lance to make Ch3 manageable.

I this time randomly got a Gaius' Conflict from Ch2 using it on Freddie and MU to have them easily handle the northern wave. Some of them had Hawkeye+Luna combo. Had to have Freddie deal with such horrible enemies as he was the only one who could do it.

    Ch 3

It was glorious after starting over once more since MU still wasn't strong enough for Ch3. After watching Rey's ch3 lunatic vid, in this 5th tryout, it was easy after that. Interceptor can guide me throughout the rest of the game of course. :D:

After trading items by giving Freddie Kellam's Javalin/Vulnerary and Sumia's and just took out the western wave with a LV12 MU along with Freddie with the Silver Lance after I saved 15 uses of it left. You want to make sure that most of the one ranged attackers down south except the archers does not have Counter. Reset if one of them does. After dealing with the left wave, then you have MU deal with the right. Up north, I had Chrom do some fighting as I haven't really levelled him much as the last two chapters went too aggro for that. Got him to LV3 by the end of the chapter. The upper wave was easy enough to deal with. After disarming and then hitting with ranged weapons and Freddie's Silver Lance to deal with Counter up north. I did not do no choke point like Rey and Interceptor did. I actually had them follow me down south after opening the left gate having MU+Freddie deal with them.

I already broke my Thunder tome before three foes were left with one of them having Pavise+ and Counter and Miriel retreated after losing her in the battle. She had the Fire tome. I did have to deal with a Counter as I had no ranged weapon but Freddie's two Silver Lance hits both Pavaised were enough to put that menace out of commission. Healed him with Lissa before the other two arrived along with Chrom finishing off the last two weakened foes. The boss was easy with a hammer as she only had Hawkeye. Thank god, no Luna+. MU's now at LV17 and near ready to go to Merc for Armsthrift. Getting the Second Seal from my renown items since it's the only way without Anna shops to get one till Ch8.

You should feel like a champion now after getting through 3 since it is the hardest chapter in the game, period...and that you can only use with what you've got since you cannot buy anything till after this chapter. Thank god the most difficult portion of the entire game is over. Thank you, Interceptor and Rey. Now I can enjoy this mode to the fullest whenever I majorly struggle. Out of the danger zone now as I started over five times already for not having MU strong enough. It's only until you can get access to Spotpass/Gate before this game no longer turns into a complete luck factor. Just about to get Chrom Paragon now. Summons one of my LB unit so I can get the manual now. :3

Won't be using the raised LB character of course until the last chapter for fun. Just need you to get me the Silver Card and the Paragon Manual for Chrom until then, ok. ;)

Afterwards...I gave Chrom my Narga's Tear and Boots then bought a few weapons from Spotpass Killer weapon, Celica's Gale and Katarina's Bolt for MU as she is already able to use them now. I also picked up my renown items up to Boots. Gave Chrom my Leif's Blade. I begin the next chapter now after giving MU my Tiki's Tear and Chrom and Freddie a Str and Def Tonic.

    Chapter 4

Much easier compared to the last one. The set didn't matter as I can fully deal with Counter now. Had Freddie poke the Counters with the Short Spear and continued to train Chrom some more as I didn't get a chance to get him much EXP as the enemies went too aggro last three chapters. Got him to LV5 by the end of the chapter as I had him deal with Marth to get the finishing blow after Freddie weakened him with my Ephraim's Lance that I bought from Spotpass. Yes, like Interceptor and the rest of us...I will be using Spotpass items. We don't want the entire game to turn into a complete luck factor after all. Anyway, now that I have access to the gate, time to get the Silver Card and Paragon for Chrom. Then I will begin 'Sickle To The Sword."

Started over 5 times total to get to Ch5. Man...I need a rest. Also got Freddie and MU their B support. Will help for the oncoming battles ahead.

    Thank you for sharing it!

Without Rey´s guide I never could not beat this mode. Watching chapter 2 helped me a lot. I restarted my playthrough, because I used Frederick too much and my avatar was underleveled only level 7 before chapter 2. I gave my avatar defense +. I could beat the prologue at once and I only needed one restart in chapter 1. Chapter 2 was more painful but after 8 tries (I believe) I could beat it, because the better defense of my avatar was the key to success!

Seriously I have no mind to play chapter 3 at the moment, because the 3 previous maps took me enough time and energy!

  10. Even big sales of a Nintendo console didn't help Radiant Dawn sell well, as good as it was. Fire Emblem just isn't console player bait

To be fair, I think RD had really bad publicity. :0 I didn't get Path of Radiance but I knew loads about it anyway, whereas RD was almost the complete opposite-- I barely knew it existed for the longest time even though I owned it. I hadn't heard jack about any of the characters or that it was even released. o___o (....That could just as easily be my lack of exposure though I suppose...)

I think RD didn't sell well because PoR didn't and I think PoR didn't because it was released at the end of the GC's lifespan. The same reason Thracia didn't sell well (it came out after the SNES's life ended). And if not many people played PoR, I doubt many will be inclined to buy RD. Bad publicity is probably also a factor, as before Awakening, FE never got advertised a whole lot. I always thought this was a reason it wasn't very popular, and Awakening proved me right. It was advertised to death, lots of people bought it, and FE got a popularity boost.

Despite RD's bad sales, however, it made the top 20 Wii games list in some gaming magazines, at a pretty decent #13.

But honestly, the sales of neither game do them justice. The Tellius saga is way better than they indicate. I've seen plenty of good reviews for them.

...I dunno, DIDN'T it have pretty bad publicity....?

I think the Tellius series was more popular, after SSBB hade come out. Many people (like me) did not know even the existance of FE9 + 10 and were introduced to these games through Ike´s appearance in SSBB. But at this point (end of 2008 in EU) the Tellius games were sold hardly any because of the bad sales before SSBB was released.

  11. -Since you can get a lot of arms scrolls throughout the run, and since DracoKnights can use axes, is it worth getting MU from E axes to B or A rank?

Yes, if you want to use Hauteclare. It has the highest might in the game. Otherwise no!

-My strategy for dealing with Gharnef is to recruit Katarina, then give her 3 spirit dusts & 2 speedwings, some of which is bought in the C21 secret shop. This allows her to ORKO with starlight, and thus 1 turn the map with 2 warps. Is there perhaps a better way of handling Gharnef I'm not aware of? Speaking of warps:

I recommend to give Katharina magic shield and / or using pure water or talisman, because her resistance is not that good.

-How would you allocate funds for weapons & forges? Currently I'm planning the following (roughly):

    +2 mt rapier (Chapter 1)

+4 mt steel sword (Chapter 2, for Marth)

Buy a couple steel lances & javelins (Chapter 3)

Buy 3 dragonpikes & wyrmslayers in the secret shop, some of which will get +2 Mt forged (Chapter 11)

Buy a bunch of stat boosters in the secred shop (Chapter 21)

To buy range weapons always is a good idea. I do not forge that much in the beginning, if I play on normal mode. I recommend to forge a Levin Sword (if you get) for Marth to counter attacks by mages.

I don't really need to buy silver lances since so many are dropped throughout the game, same goes for pure water and door keys. On my last test run funds were really tight, so I plan to thief staff for a couple Bullion (L)s.

    Good idea.

-How much is known about the game's RNG? I know it's based on the clock in some way.

The RNG is pretty standard compared to other FE parts I have played.

I have only played the JP version of FE12 (I do not get an emulator) twice and have not done a speed run yet, so I could answer only a few of your questions. Hope that helps a little bit.

  12. I would like to see the avatar of FE13, because he is more important in the story than Chrom. And he cannot use only swords, but also magic. So he has a different moveset compared to the other FE characters in previous Smash Bros games. And you could choose the gender.

  13. Really? +Spd is probably the second best asset after Def, as long as you don't have a Def flaw...

Asset/flaw don't change your pairup boosts. If they make you hit 10 in a stat earlier, then you'll give 1 more in that stat, but all your important stats should be above that already without a specific asset for Cht.2/3. Even then, Avatar shouldn't be in the back.

Ok, I did not know about that. Thanks for the resolution!

I have only used the combo speed + / skill - in my playthroughs. So I thought a defense + would give Frederick pair up boosts in defense.

  14. Chapter 2

Had no way to get through it right now. Do I need the Elixir to be able to get Freddie recuperated till I can get him to the fort? It's all gone before this chapter began. If I do, then I'm screwed and have to start over as you are not able to buy any items or weapons yet. Only have one Vulnerary left with 2 uses. Hope that helps. Also, I may have to endure some sacrifices to be able to get Freddie to the fort. Also, I will not do this map if too many troops get slapped with Hawkeye as it makes hiding in the fort useless. If even one foe there has both Hawkeye+Luna+ combo, then I'll have to reset the map. I also had Freddie paired with MU as well as giving MU the advantage to grow more Def and flaw in skill. Hope that helps.

This mode is the ultimate challenge. Anyone who gets bored with this game outta try Hard/Lunatic/Lunatic+. These will bring gaming experience to the absolute fullest.

Chapter 2 is a nightmare, although 3 will be even worse. I could not beat it yet. And I will restart the whole game, because I gave my avatar speed + / skill - instead of defense + / skill -. So my avatar will grow better in defense and Frederick will get defense boosts.

How is Arran a "low tier character"? He is the "Jagen" in FE12. And many people ignore him because of his terrible growths.

I think it's mostly because Sirius exists.

Sry, I did not read the topic describtion.

I thaught "low tier units" are units, who join later in the game with low level and excellent growths (="Est-character").

  16. You're completely ignoring her part 1 and 3 performance where most things double her and if they don't they still kill her in one hit.

Laura would be doubled and killed in one hit. On easy mode almost no enemy would not attack Micki twice, because the enemies have lower speed and more speed penality, because of lower strength. If Micki reaches a speed of 11 at least in part 1, no one would double her except for myrmidons and a few of bosses. In part 3 the cats and hawks can double her.

A tip: Give her Tauroneo´s "Resolve" skill, if she has very low speed. Or give her bexp., if she has maxed magic and resistance to equalize her speed problems.

    On hard mode.

On normal mode with moderate use only fast enemies like myrmidons should be doubling her. I don't play easy mode, but I can't imagine most enemies doubling or one-hitting her there as long as she's actually being leveled.

If she has very bad speed growth, soldiers and warriors can double her on normal mode.

If you're not training her (which, I don't doubt, you could very well be doing), then of course she's going to get doubled. The enemies in that mode are so wimpy, so you either got to get ridiculously screwed or not train her enough to get her to that level.

It's not like you could could exactly complain about Spd screwage, either. BEXP comes so so cheap, in that mode

Yes, Micaiah really has no problems on easy mode.

The only character you really have to worry about is Laura. She would be doubled and killed in one hit in the beginning chapters. And she is much harder to train on easy mode, because you cannot heal that much. There are much less enemies and reinforcements on easy mode.

  17. Happy Birthday Awakening and Happy Birthday to my 3DS, which is the Fire Emblem edition!

For sure you are not the greatest one of the series, but you also have saved the entire series!

And I have not completed it yet. I stuck on lunatic +, have not got all conversations (which I do not want to get) and have only played few of the DLCs.
