So, I've started to invest some time and resources into AR finally, and I'm in a state of catch-up because I neglected AR for the first several months due to FEH burnout induced hiatus. I'm currently in T13, looking to push to T20+. I'm a day 1 competitive player with several units at my disposal, and I'm trying to find where to invest and what teams to work toward. I'm not particularly familiar with the AR meta, but I'm beginning to get a grasp on the common units, such as Surtr, L!Azura, L!Lucina, Ophelia and similar mage nukes, Aversa, horse ball/flier ball and dazzle healers. Currently the units I use most on offense are Deirdre, L!Azura, Eir, B!Veronica, Ophelia, festival Micaiah and my +10 Gaius. It's usually some combination of these plus or minus a bonus unit. That said, I'm trying to figure out what units to invest in and try to merge up to be consistent in the meta. I had been working on Black Knight merges for my arena core, but I am now going to start Aversa merges since my BK is at +7 now. The only other heavily merged units are my favorites such as Gaius, Eirika, Titania and Effie all at +10(this was basically my multi-content A-team). I have 120k+ feathers saved for new merge projects, so I ask: what are some 3-4 star available units worth investing in? My defense comp is nukes + dancers with a Surtr anchor on Abandoned Castle. My Strat is to force a narrow approach into the mages and if the opponent survives they must approach an offset Surtr. This defense is doing okay at best and I'm also interested in defensive strategies/setups. Any tips on strategies or meta unit builds would be appreciated!

Thinking about picking this up soon; haven't played any Mystery Dungeon games thus far but after seeing gameplay of this one I am intrigued.

I agree that Sacred Stones was an amazing game, it was actually the first FE I completely finished. It holds sentiment in that way and is probably my second favorite (perhaps tied with Rekka no Ken) I like Awakening the most for pretty much the same reasons you like Sacred Stones. Mostly due to the sheer amount of content and replay-ability that it possesses. The game looks gorgeous and I absolutely love the characters and the support interactions between them. What is your favorite anime/manga?

Through high school I was known for being fashionably late for just about everything (classes, events, dates etc.) I have sort of out grown it as being an adult is much less accepting of this habit. I have never tried L(+) without abusing the grinding :P I'm currently doing a run on hard mode where I do FeMU x Chrom but I'm not very far, but I hear (as mentioned above) the pair works out well.

What is the origin of your username? They're pretty rough. I live in the north east and the winter tends to begin in October and lasts until May. We get several feet of snow, up to a foot on any given day. The harshest temperatures are usually around -55 C and you see those kind of temperatures often in the months of December through February and sometimes earlier or later.

@MelonGx: I assume Ringabel is referring to Libra as Thor and Vaike as "Teach"

I'd be interested in reading that thread if you could direct me. I am nearly 22 and still can't get rid of my acne. It's not nearly as persistent or bothersome as it was when I was in my teens but it is still present and just as much a confidence killer. As for my grooming in response to the thread, well it's pretty standard: I shower every day in the morning in which I use a gentle body wash with no heavy scents or harmful chemicals, and use a variety of shampoos but more often than not Head & Shoulders classic (my hair is too oily and gets greasy quickly so I have to shampoo every day [i tried too train my hair to be able to look nice while shampoo'd every second day and I felt disgusting on the off days]) and then brush my teeth afterward. When my hair is short, especially when freshly cut, I like to take my bang back to the side with a bit of non-shiny palm-based wax to look a little bit older and usually more attractive. I have very fine blond hair and it doesn't hold its shape well with product, so this can sometimes be challenging for me, but if I don't have to sustain wind/rain it's usually alright. I can't grow a good looking beard so I like to keep cleanly shaved, usually having to shave every second or third day before my scruff starts to look a bit undesirable. I like to either use Gillette Fusion manual razors with a shave cream for sensitive skin, or my Braun electric razor and do touch ups with my manual razor. I have a couple aftershaves, one is a musky liquid while the other is a scent free balm. I brush my teeth at least twice a day, in the morning and before bed always, while usually a third time after supper in the mid-day. I like to floss at least once a week but I don't always follow up with flossing. Before sleep I always like to rinse my face with lukewarm water and use a gentle cleanser. During winter I follow this up with a moisturizer so my skin can be less irritated by the dryness. That's the regular hygiene routine; I have tried several acne treatment products in the past and none have been worth the money spent on them so I have given up trying with them. My acne seems to be very strongly related to my stress levels and so I just try to relieve my stress the best I can. I can only hope it goes away on its own soon. As for exercise, I have given up my routine the past year as college + work + general living just takes up too much of my time and energy. I don't have much time for leisure, but when I do I would much rather sit down and play a game or do something such as a discussion like this. During summer, however, I tend to go to the gym ~3 times a week and I skateboard every day that I can. I am underweight, being 115 lbs at 5'9, I have a very active metabolism and even when I am eating above normal amounts of calories I don't gain much weight. Building muscle is also difficult for me. But, just because I am skinny doesn't mean I'm in shape; my fitness has definitely diminished over the past couple years.

Cool, if that is the case then I'll just stick with Lon'qu!Severa for this playthrough and do Stahl!Severa on my next file. I have another question about asset and flaws for my pairings: If I do MaMU x Nowi for Morgan and Nah which asset and flaw would be best? I am playing Lunatic here and understand in-game Speed or Defense are typically most useful but I want to also consider the children and post game as I'm optimizing on this file. Would +Speed / -Luck make the children turn out good (I chose this and am only on chapter 1 so restarting is possible)? Or would there be a better option that won't make Lunatic unbearable (I'm up for a challenge either way). And further, what asset and flaw would be best for a FeMU x Chrom run? I plan to do this one on Hard mode along side my above Lunatic run.

I've read that Lon'qu!Severa is best suited for a Sorcerer end class, while Stahl!Severa makes a better Hero end class. Since I plan to use her as a hero should I make this switch or will she be fine with Lon'qu as her father?

You posted a snarky gif and proceeded to passive aggressively call me dumb. Maybe less being a troll but rather a jerk for no reason. As for the Eminem thing, well, fuccboi is kinda' on to something; people respect him because he is an infamous white rapper which is a genre generally dominated by black people. I don't mind some of Eminem's stuff, but I also don't mind some other rapper's stuff and I wouldn't really have a reason for it, especially not "cuz he's white". Maybe it comes down to the lyrics/style? Eminem's fast spitting style sets him a bit apart from a lot of rap. And his lyrics, well, I'd go as far as to say he has some pretty good ones but I don't know enough about other rapper's lyrics to go as far as to say they are better. Though, that being said I know a lot of other rappers (ie/ Lil Wayne" have a lot of rap lyrics that either don't make sense or are strictly about 'pussy, money, weed'.

Yes, I suppose they could be considered modern still. But yea, that's more so what I was trying to say as stated in my above post. I should have refrained the use of the word mainstream, how silly of me. I'd rather discuss the appreciation for music rather than argue what is or is not mainstream anyways.

64: Pikachu Melee: Fox Brawl: Falco, Marth, Pikachu Project M: Zelda, Marth and I like to mess around with Fox, DK and Roy even though I'm not adept at using them. I play Project M regularly with a local playgroup consisting of about 30-40 people and consistently contend for top 8 (there are a couple of people who are just ridiculously good. Our top player mains Diddy and Falco, second best mains Lucas, and Mario, and our third best mains Captain Falcon and Fox; they all consistently get top three, usually in that order).
