Ryoma's description says he's the only Swordmaster that can wield the Raijinto. I wonder if this means we'll be getting another "Swordmaster" class, or if this just meant he's the only swordsman that wield it in general? The latter is the more likely, but that stood out me when reading.

I'm too inquisitive, it's probably nothing.

Seriously, the oldest male Robin build looks TOO old, no matter what face you choose for him

I agreed with this, until I started using it myself, and now I can't go back to the other versions. It might just be because I like the hair options better though.

  2. Berkut's voice acting in both versions is so damn good I just can't bring myself to dislike him. He's a well written piece of shit, and tattsun/Sinclair play him fantastically. I do feel bad for the guy, like, finding out your entire existence was just a castle on stilts and everything you knew came crashing down upon you at the same moment? It doesn't justify his actions, but he was backed into a corner, and in his own mind, there was no other way out. Maybe not my favorite character in the game, but he's up there for my favorite villians, if only for the entertainment his voice brought me. Fernand and Rinea are whatever.

Valbar/Leon/Kamui are high on my list, Sonya, Gray, Tobin, Kliff, Python, Conrad and Mae are my favorites. I like Alm and Celica well enough. The rest of the Deliverance is good, Mycen, Boey, Genny and Saber are great, and Atlas is cool.

Don't really care too much for the Whitewings, Deen or Nomah, but I guess when it boils down, I don't dislike anyone. Every character has merit to me.

Also as an aside I did a whole video on something I'd like to see FE like in Warriors, as a mode.

Dynasty Warriors Advanced was always something my mind would go to when I'd think of FE Warriors years ago. The two would honestly be a perfect fit.

  4. Peg Knights will likely get special routes they can use, like ninja in SW. If they include Gaius or Kaze, maybe they'll get special routes too.

I'd like to see some sort of weapon durability, like with upgrades or something. Imagine all weapons are infinite use, but you can put temporary upgrades that last for 500 kills, or 1 battle, or something. What about in-battle trading, so you can pass your upgraded weapon to an ally if they're on the other side of the map fighting a tough battle.

  5. The rapid slashing/stabbing doesn't look terribly boring to me, but then again, a lot of my experience with Warriors is with the older, slower games, so maybe it just seems normal to me?

Like in SW2, if you have a maxed musou bar and unleash it, sometimes you're waiting 10-15 seconds for you character to finish spinning in place, doing nothing else. Same concept.

Marth's is better because the camera work makes it look cooler, but it's not that much better.

Marth's look like it was copied straight from Griffith, which is awesome. If Ike gets added and has a special like Guts'? I'd explode from sheer badassery.

I mean I'm gonna play in JP anyway via switch language settings... But this is a nice option if I want to stream/record. As well as for those people who like VAs such as Nakamura or Sugita.

tfw Zakki won't be in the game because of F!Corrin's popularity. Feels bad man (but he's also Guan Xing in DW proper, so it hurts less).

That aside, I like how many prolific seiyū are getting roles in FE, and even a lot of newcomers, and now we're getting dual audio again! I love my English dubs, but still, what a time to be alive.

    What if he's voicing-

    TWO characters?

The man is more than capable of the range for it.

All I need is a single super-exaggerated voice in Japanese that's meh in English and the dub's gettin' switched to Japanese forever.

Koyasu could potentially be in the game four times, assuming he wouldn't also be an original character.

For your last point, I find that Cain in FEH is the exact opposite of that. His Eng voice is so energetic and friendly, then in Jp he's monotone and boring. The Bull truly is the 1%.

  8. If Jeorge could get in with his Parthia, I might just have a definite main on my hands.

Besides him, there's the other SD units that would never have a prayer to get in, but I have an odd connection with, like Caesar, Dolph, Tomas, and Jake. Getting Camus would be awesome too, arguably better if they honor the original by making him an unplayable boss.

Olivia, Inigo, Morgan, Owain, Niles, Orochi, Hinata and Subaki are other big hopes for me, but I doubt most of them will get in beyond NPC.

Where does it say the twins can heal? And Lissa is only shown with an axe and no staves. I'll believe she can heal when I see it.

Then I guess we disagree there.

Lianna has a staff in the E3 gameplay, and there's an aura around injured allies where you can likely heal them.

While it may be a little too out there, I am thinking somewhere around 35. Let me explain why. First, it gives 10 for each game they are focusing on. I think 10 is plenty to get a well rounded cast from each game, except for maybe Fates where the royals will take the majority of the slots, unfortunately. That leaves the other 5 for the OCs, and maybe a few slots for characters like Roy and Ike who are fan favorites and in Smash.

Maybe a little too hopeful, but this sounds like a good number to start with without adding in DLC.

I'm thinking 30-35 is a good number too. Like Escalario said, it's confirmed the games will not get equal reps, so I think Fates and Awakening will get around 10, SD will get around 7, and there'll be 3-5 original characters. I don't think DLC will take the roster past 40, but if they want to add all the Amiibo characters, they kinda have no choice.

Caeda or the White Wings are the main candidates for flying swords  IS seems to focus wyverns on axes, and pegasi from Awakening/Fates use lances, so if KT wanted flying swords (and to stick to what someone could use in their own game), SD pegasi are the best bet, since they got swords on promotion to Falcoknight.

Interestingly enough, Pegasus Knights in the original FE1 used both Swords and Lances, and actually, Caeda joined with only an Iron Sword in her inventory!

  12. With the way they showed the Awakening trailer, I think we'll be getting a fair amount of characters from the starting parties of each game.

Awakening gets Chrom, Lissa, Freddy and Robin (Virion, Stahl, Sully, Sumia as NPCs maybe?), Fates would get Corrin, Ryoma, Takumi, and Azura (Xander, Camilla and Leo wouldn't join right away, Hinoka, Sakura and Elise as NPC?), and SD would get Marth, Caeda, Jagen and Draug (Cain, Abel and Gordin as NPC?).

That's my prediction, along with the rest of the characters in my 34 character roster yesterday. This makes it so you can have a full 4-unit party for each path, likely being able to freely stick in Rowan/Lianna as substitutes.

Starting game roster could be twins, Marth, Caeda, Chrom, Robin, Corrin and Azura. Playing until the first "in-game" chapters would unlock the rest of the "starting cast" for use.

  13. Just now, Jedi said:

They could also do like one of them is playable with the other 2 as costumes. That way people could play as their favorite one and their Musou could be the triangle attack.

Didn't think of that. That would actually be really cool. Maybe we'll get a Create-A-Warrior system like SW3, where we could unlock the skins of NPCs and paste them over the actual playable character movesets. Catria using the Falchion would be pretty funny.

  14. Being a man of many changing thoughts, here's my brand new, minimalistic, thoughts on who will be added:

Shadow Dragon- Caeda, Jagen, Draug (they'll be part of Marth's starting force), Minerva, Jeorge, Tiki, and Linde (or Merric, but I can only see one of them getting in). Camus, Michalis and Gharnef will be bosses that'll be playable through DLC or something.

Awakening- Tharja, Gaius, Cordelia, Donnel, and Nowi (Virion and Basilio have a chance, but I can't see it happening right now). Gangrel, Walhart, and Validar will be in the same boat as the other bosses.

Fates- Camilla, Leo, Takumi, Azura, Jakob, Felicia, Charlotte, Oboro, and Effie (though I do think all the retainers will get in as NPCs at least, with Odin/Selena/Laslow and Niles having good chances of being DLC, imo). Garon will also be in the boss boat.

Other- I suspect 2-3 more Original characters to be playable (Darios, a boss or two). Expect Amiibo units (Alm, Celica, Roy, Ike, M!Corrin) to be playable early through swiping the Amiibos, but will be added in a free update or something a couple weeks after release. Besides that, we could see anywhere from 2 to 10 more characters added after the fact, but keep expectations low.

Outside DLC, that would put the cast at 34 characters, which is pretty close to what I originally suspected to be the roster size.

But that doesn't answer my question. Will characters like Freddy ultimately have a disadvantage because he can't promote?

That's not usually how Warriors games work. Sometimes, when characters reach max level, all their stats immediately jump to 999 (except SW3, which had maximum stats as unlockables after an officer reaches max level).

However, in the case of Gundam and Berserk, characters have different end stats, but they're all usually close to the caps, which is how I see this working.

I also think the "Promoting" will work more like Second Sealing, to give characters different weapon access. I don't see them putting characters like Xander and Ryoma at permanent disadvantages.

Uh oh... Now I worry that Frederick will appear in the game but not be playable... Simply because it'd feel out of character for him to not be present in some form since Chrom and seemingly Lissa are there. :(

I think Freddy has more than enough merit to justify him being playable. Characters that I could see being relegated to NPC roles would be most of the Fates royal retainers, some members of the Shepherds, or the Whitewings, but Fredrick? I can't see them doing that to him.
