  1. Yeah, I noticed the soldiers as well. It may be a possibility that there was going to be a playable soldier in book 2, but the idea was dropped early on. However, how did you manage to get Maria as the main character? If the name "Marth" (The name ID, not the actual spelling) isn't on the map, you get a game over. Of note for those curious, Camus has a custom palette when under player control. It was probably intended for Sirius, but was removed for whatever reason.
  2. Long time no see to those who remember me. Anyway. Out of boredom I started doing random stuff with FE3 yesterday. Now I already made some modules of very basic things (Weapon/character stats, some enemy army data, etc.)for others who are interested, however, I am not really very good at all and locating anything that isn't basic is above me. My question is this. Does anyone know how to make certain classes appear visible on all chapters? (I have known this issue for a awhile now, but never bothered with it) When you hack/cheat/whatever to gain an enemy only class (Such as Barbarian, Berserker, Earth Dragon, among others), a lot of the time, it is invisible during idle animation. For example... (This is an example, this isn't *exactly* the class/character I was changing). Say I change Marth's class. For the example, we will go with Emperor. Now if you turn Marth in to an Emperor he will not be visible on the map (However, he will be visible while moving). So I did some checking, and he became visible on the chapters Hardin (In book 2) appeared on. This leads me to believe, that the non-player classes are set to each chapter and only are visible on chapter they are *supposed* to be on, however, I honestly do not understand why, while in every other game (idk about the NES ones) there isn't anything like this. I tested this with other classes (Such as Ice Dragon, which was only visible on the 2 chapters that have enemy ice dragons), and it confirmed that thought. Now another thing I thought of, was that they probably only function properly for enemy units, but this is not the case. The same thing applies to enemy units as what applies to yours (I changed some pirates from the 1st chapter in to some of the mentioned classes, and they were invisible as well). Another thing that confused me (Somewhat), is that Tiki can turn in to dragons that are not normally "allowed" on that map and still function correctly. The Earth Dragon class suffers from the invisible issue (With the exception on the 3 chapters they appear on), yet when Tiki uses and Earth Stone, she will become an Earth Dragon and function properly regardless of chapter. Making someone a female mamkute (Male or female character), then using a stone will just suffer from the same glitch like normal, which means that the working dragon thing is tied to the character (I do not know where the character ability data is, only stats). So, my question is this. Does anyone have any insight at all on this issue? I was thinking it would be fun to have a Barbarian or Berserker, but sadly this issue makes using them a hassle. Of note, classes that suffer from this issue are... (Possibly Bandit or Pirate, but I never bothered checking them). 3. Alright, I will post what I think and will not be back here. I have been cussed out over what I believe in the past. I do believe in god, I was always questioning it before a certain event. Someone in my family was cured of a disease that was said to be incurable by normal means, after many of my family members prayed to God to sure it (And nearly all of my family doesn't really do much in the way of going to church, or any of the other stuff associated with Religion), it was cured, and the doctor could not explain why it disappeared. It was then that I started believing in it. I have gotten comments like "Well it sure as fuck wasn't god", yet they care not to give me any better explanation. Regardless. I don't care what religion (Or lack of) someone has, doesn't bother me. I don't go around spouting "YOU WILL BE PURGED" and crap. I merely just live my life as I do. People wouldn't know I was religious unless I said so (Which is pretty much only if they ask), I don't go to church, I don't keep crosses around, or pictures of Jesus or anything. To answer the original question of the OP. (In my opinion) God gave people free will. That is why there are evil people. Why does God not do anything about it? well I see it like this. In order to have good, you must have evil, like how in order to have hot, you must have cold. Life is a trial, a test. That is why evil is left on this Earth.
  4. Well, I didn't read the link, but from what I gather, he wants to increase school time? I personally do not think this will help any issues. As someone before me said, increasing the quality would be far more effective then tacking time on. I'll tell you, I hated school when I was in it. Everything was too redundant, you learned one subject, then you would stay on the same subject far longer then it needed to be (In my opinion), prolonging the time would only worsen it. I often times fell asleep in class from being bored. You already get homework, I don't see the point of keeping kids in school longer then it is now (Also keep in mind, for the kids that actually want to, most schools I know have after-school classes). Where I live, school is 6 hours (At least when I was in it). It may of been longer (But I think that's just because it felt like forever). It was 9AM-3PM, if the kids wanted to actually learn more, they stayed after school which lasted I believe 2 hours. I still think this is a good system, keeping kids who don't want to be in school longer then they are is just a waste of time and money... 1: They often don't listen to what the teacher says anyway (I know that once I learned the subject, I didn't bother listening to anything after that, since it was just saying the same shit over and over again). 2: It wastes the teachers time. During the after-school classes, you only needed about 1/3 - 1/2 the teachers because a large portion of the kids left the school. 3: If teachers are forced to work longer, they will most likely demand compensation for it, increasing the money the state spends on education. Throwing more money at a problem does not mean the problem will be fixed. Keep in mind, this is kind of a worse case scenario I presented, but I still stand by saying it will have more of a negative impact then a positive one.
  5. Not really, more often then not Murdock will 1 shot her, looking at the stats, Lilina will survive a Murdock hit with 1 HP, or she will take a lethal hit if the Tomahawks MT is 14 (I think it's 13). Murdock has 12 speed, so Lilina will not double him. Lugh will deal less damage for 1 attack by a little bit, but he will double him dealing more damage per battle. @ The original poster ugh, I haven't played this in awhile, but let me give it a go... Make sure any unit that can use axes has one (Heroes, Paladins, etc.) If you are newer at the game and just want to beat the chapter, I recommend not attempting to rescue chain to clear the chapter slightly faster. I also recommend traveling in one group unless you are going for EXP. I also recommend going down the right side, it seems to be the shortest way, while having woods to take cover in. Roy should obviously avoid any fighting since almost every enemy uses a lance and since he sucks overall in general. He won't do much even if he did anyway. Deick is rather solid. With an axe, you can leave him out in the open and won't have to worry too much, same goes for Lance and Percival. The 3 of them should be "escorting" you casters to the boss area. Despite using swords, Rutger should dodge everything if he is in the woods, and dodge decently even on open ground. Lilina is fragile and should not tank the wyverns in the open, I recommend having her travel along forests while Roy travels, she will dodge pretty much any wyvern attack while in the woods with Roy in range, and will 1 shot them if you use Aircalibur. She will be a nice asset for quickly clearing the Mamkutes. I'm not sure how many Aircaliburs you have, but if you have a lot Clarine should also give one to here, actually, if Lilina can double (I don't remember how sucky the wyvern knights speed is), then she will be fine with just fire. Clarine will be dodge queen, so she could even last on open ground if you need be. Well, I haven't played for awhile, and I am still not sure about all your info, but if you still have trouble, send me a save and I'll check it out.
  6. Wendy would have made a great Merc/Hero, General? Not so much. If you are not opposed to cheating (I have beaten the game 9 times normally, so I have no shame in trying new stuff), you can turn her in to a Hero or Swordmaster and watch how lovely her growths fit those.
  7. Snake gets my vote as biggest badass guy on the board.

  8. Depends on said person that is running for <Insert position>. I don't care which party they belong to, only on their views on <Insert Subject>. I am sick of how politics have become at this point though, but I am one of those people that "Believes you should vote", so I don't avoid doing it.
  9. camus the dark That's it. Unless you count the WoW forums which just use your in-game characters name.
  10. Well, the only "questionable" thing I believe in is the existence of god... That said, I don't believe this idea at all (To be honest, I never understood why Y2K would "end the world", wasn't it something that involved the computers going haywire when they hit the "2000" reset 97-98-99-00 etc... on the clock? I failed to see how that would cause any major issues.) Even if some catastrophe happens, I wouldn't fear it. You can't do shit about it, so no point in trying to do anything over it, just go out in whatever way pleases you (Partying, spending time with loved ones, playing games, destroying property, whatever the hell you enjoy).
  11. Yes, I do get angry over it. I still stick to the NA release however since I don't mind giving up a little difficulty for avoiding importing and being able to read wth is going on, only exception is FE9 seeing as a hard mode was made in to an easy mode.
  12. Favorite and least favorite games? Best: FE3 (5 is close due to it's wonderful difficulty) Worst: FE8
  13. Sigurd Starts good, stays good, mounted, decent character personality.
  14. FE8 Terrible story, pathetically easy (And I am talking hard mode without using the tower).
  15. Maybe older members remember the rant I had about tiers being stupid. Regardless of that, Bus summed up my thoughts, only better written.
  16. It suffers from standard anime issues I don't care for (Yelling for 10 minutes before actually doing the attack). And the concept of it being ninja's (Ninja in an orange jumpsuit?) is a little off due to how their spells are stuff normally act (It was originally supposed to be magicians if I recall). However, overall I don't mind it too much.
  17. Florina. When I was doing chapter 4 I accidentally ended a turn before moving anyone, so a brigand essentially got 2 hits on her that way.
  18. I can see how something like that could, but the canned laughter doesn't really come across as something that would do that (Well, at least after seeign all the responses that were given here, far more say it's annoying then not) =/
  19. If you get her Resire instead of Aura, then she generally will manage pretty well. She also gets nice promotion gains because of the sage's high bases. And as stated, she is the only character that can kill Julius with no effort whatsoever.
  20. Harvard is a nice school. I have gone there before, although never actually for full courses or anything. Currently I live in North Dartmouth MA. (South of New Bedford, North of Fallriver). About 7 years back I moved from the town of Bourne next to the Cape Cod Canal, where my first 12 years were.
