Third try at the Hero Fest. Ophelia? 3* Klein: No blues, but Death Blow fodder is always useful. Now for the New Power banners. First, a shot at Catria+1. 4* M!Robin: Bonfire fodder. And now to see if I can get Robin at 5*. 4* Odin: Moonbow fodder. No 5*, but 3 good SI fodder units is fine by me.

Since IS has generously bestowed yet another First Summon Ticket on us, might as well knock that and the BHB banner's free pull off. First, the BHB and a shot at Elincia+1. 4* Mamui: Bleh. Now another shot at Ophelia. 4* Sully: Draw Back fodder. Oh well. Need to save up for the next Legendary banner anyway, particularly L!Marth.

Infernal was no big deal. At first I tried it with my defense team: Lucina (waifu), both Morgans (adorable children), and Julia (star player), but the overlapping Tactics meant I couldn't get enough kills fast enough. So I switched Morgan and Morgan out for L!Lyn and Femui, my former go-to blue unit. Then it was easy. Lyn and Julia smashed the flier and knight, Femui obliterated Ike, and Lucina got choppy on the rest.

I've already got an excellent Lewyn, so just the free pull and ticket for me. Aiming for Ophelia, or Eir otherwise. 4* Reinhardt: Nope. Vantage fodder, then. Now to use the ticket. 4* Niles: Iceberg fodder.

You know what, the next several banners are probably going to be Christmas stuff I don't care about. 120 orbs on hand, might as well see how far my luck stretches on the Legendary banner. 3* Fir: Bleh. 4* Catria: Enough of you. 4* Lukas: SP fodder. 3* Cecilia: Escape Route fodder. 3* Frederick: Meh. Hopefully this isn't a bad omen...100 orbs left. 3* Selena: Reposition fodder at last. 4* Fae: Meh. 3* Femui: Draconic Aura fodder. Three good SI fodder units, but no 5*. 87 orbs left. 3* Stahl: Eh. 4* Lon'qu: Vantage fodder. 4* Robin: Bonfire fodder. I'm getting a lot of SI fodder, but I'd much prefer a 5*, Feh. 74 orbs left. 4* Soleil: Eh. 3* Donnel: Worthless. 4* Jagen: Haven't seen you in a while. 4* Raven: Nope. 3* Gunter: Bleh. Should have known this was a bad idea. Of course I was so lucky earlier this still hasn't really evened things out, but hopefully there's multiple 5*s waiting for me. 3* Roy: I've got enough of you. 3* Nowi: Worthless. 4* Wrys: Did not mean to press "Redeem"... 10% pity rate...41 orbs left. 4* Cain: WoM fodder. 3* Athena: Why... 3* Femui: More Draconic Aura fodder. 5* F!Kana: While I really don't like her as a character, as a unit she's more than welcome! +Atk/-Res, so good IVs for once. Fae and M!Kana now have company. 4* Serra: Worthless. There goes 99 orbs for one 5*. Still, in total that makes 230 orbs for 8 5* units, an excellent ratio by any means. No Hrid despite all of that, but I'm not short of Wind heroes.

This is...not what I expected when I saw "Heroes with Ward Skills" on the calendar. Guess I should aim for Sigurd since he's the only one I don't have. 4* Hana: Nope. Might as well go for the rest of the set. 4* Lilina: Hm, she's +Atk/-Spd. I've been tempted to build a Lilina for a while, but should I go with -Spd or try to hold out for -Def? Any suggestions? 4* Raven: Meh. 4* Felicia: More meh. 4* Odin: Moonbow fodder. Ryoma'll appreciate that. So nothing there. I've got 100 orbs though, so I'm stocked enough for whatever else comes.

I really couldn't care less about either Helbindi or Laegjarn, so might as well go for the latter seeing as swords are the best. 4* Roy: Eh. SI fodder is always useful.

I said I wouldn't test my luck here again, but after the rage-inducing struggle that was the GHB I need to vent some steam. You can join your sister in the flying squad. +Def/-HP IVs are decent too. 4* Jakob: Eh. 4* Serra: More eh. I've been way too lucky on this banner. 7 5*s for 131 orbs, averaging out to more than 1 per circle.

Finally done! For once B!Lucina had to sit the fight out since Hrid would just mulch her. L!Ike was as crucial as ever though. M!Kana+1: Earth blessing, +Def refine on Water Breath+, Swap, Swordbreaker 3, Atk/Def Bond 3 seal Julia+1: Summoner support, Swap, Glacies, Fury 3, QR2, Drive Spd 2, Atk+3 seal L!Ike+1: Reposition, Axebreaker 3, DD3 seal Arvis+4: Draw Back, Iceberg, Fury 3, Res+3 seal For the first time in a long, long while I had to put SI on a unit specifically for the map. I gave Kana the Earth blessing and both Swap and Pivot over the course of my many attempts. My shame knows no bounds...

Agh! That damn cleric keeps messing up my Infernal attempts with Gravity. Probably bashed my head against the wall 30 or 40 times by now. I still stand by trying to do it without any dirty cheese (read: anything but non-dancer infantry :V), but it's proving difficult. Might have to radically revamp my team setup, because the regulars aren't cutting it.

Alright, 198 orbs on hand. Unless I get supremely lucky on the first circle, sniping for reds and blues. 5* Laevatein: There's the luck I was looking for! And she's +Atk/-Spd of all things...First Lucina, then Karla, now Laevatein. Of course her Speed isn't stellar to begin with, but it still stings. Let's keep going. 3* Seliph: Meh. 5* L!Lucina: Excellent! Of course she's +Res/-Atk, exactly the same as my current copy...*angry muttering* 3* Virion: Bleh. 3* Leon: SP fodder. 2 5*s, but both with bad IVs. I've got 183 orbs, so might as well keep going and see what I can get. I just hope I'm not going to regret saying that. 3* Lilina: More SP fodder. 4* Shigure: Okay. 3* Beruka: Useless. Not going to bother with greys at all. 170 orbs left. 4* Sophia: Meh. 5* Ryoma: Finally another Water hero! He's +Def/-Res, so decent enough. 4* Peri: Meh. 4* Mathilda: Hone Attack fodder? 5* L!Lucina: And here she is again! Now her IVs are an absolutely amazing +HP/-Atk. It's slightly better than +Res/-Atk though, so I guess you're the new master copy. That's 4 5*s for 48 orbs. Of course none of them have good IVs and two are merges, but I'm not sure I should press my luck any further...Oh whatever. 150 orbs left. 4* Tharja: Okay. 5* Laevatein: Again? And +Def/-Spd? Merge fodder. 4* Tailtiu: Drive Spd fodder is always handy. 3* Roderick: Bleh. 3* Sakura: Worthless. Alright, let's see if this ridiculous hot streak keeps up. I doubt there's any impending banner I care about, so 130 orbs to spend (hopefully not all of them). 3* Reinhardt: Garbage. 4* Hawkeye: SP fodder. 3* Boey: Worthless. 117 orbs left. 4* Mamui: Bleh. 4* Lilina: More SP fodder. 5* Laevatein: Third time's the charm? Seems so, since she's +Def/-Res. Not the fastest, but now Laevatein's got some serious bulk on her. 4* Effie: No. 3* Oscar: Lancebreaker fodder. 101 orbs spent to get 6 5*s. Of course three of them are Laevatein, the one red I didn't really care about, but L!Ryoma and a marginally less awful L!Lucina are good to have as well. I've definitely taken enough risks now, so unless there's an incoming bounty of orbs this week that I forgot about, this is it for the banner.

Huh. Well, there goes my theory of Legendary Hrid returning in Book 3 as a matured king of Nifl. Anyway, I’m not particularly enthused by this banner. Red: Hrid looks interesting, especially synergizing with Guunthra. Of course getting him would mean I have 4 wind legendaries. Ryoma would be very useful, and I don’t particularly care about Laevatain. Blue: Looking very nice. I’ve got L!Lucina, but with +Res/-Atk she really could be better. B!Hector is always handy, and I wouldn’t mind S!Cordelia. Green: Kind of meh. I’d like a Guunthra merge, but she’s not a priority. S!Innes has to compete with Michalis and Minerva, and I don’t care about Kana. Grey: F!Grima is thoroughly unnecessary at this point, while Nina and Noire are okay, but nothing more. Probably going to take the first circle, then snipe reds and blues until I get a 5*.

Finally finished Infernal, both with a normal team and a semi-themed one. Unfortunately had to drop my regulars for once, but it's not often double-Falchion is actually useful. Normal: Ishtar: Draw Back, Res Ploy 2 seal Lewyn: Draw Back, Squad Ace E (+Atk) 3 seal Lucina: Reposition, Fury 3, Vantage 3, Spd+3 seal Masked Marth+8: Reposition, Luna, Fury 3, Vantage 3, Hone Spd 3, Atk+3 seal Semi-Themed (Vengeance for Father): Linde: Reposition, Iceberg, Fury 3, Renewal 3, BoL 3, BoL 3 seal (killed Gharnef) Lewyn: See above Marth: Luna, Fury 3, Vantage 3, HP+5 seal Masked Marth: See above All I can say is that Forseti is obscenely good. Made this so much easier than trying with Julia or Nino.

I've got Ishtar and Mia, but Neu-Reinhardt irritates me with his existence, so blue it is. 4* Florina: Nope. Now to wait for the next legendary hero.

Well, time to pull from this Naga-forsaken banner. Ylgr fills a gap in my roster while Surtr doesn't, so let's hope for blue. 3* Wendy: Useless. And since I'm feeling pull withdrawal, might as well get the other blue. 4* Mathilda: Nope. So much for that, then. Now to wait for the legendary banner.

Beat this on the second try with my original team. Just had to fiddle a bit with Turn 1 movement and it was easy. Julia+1: Divine Naga, Swap, Glacies, Fury 3, QR2, Drive Spd 2, Atk/Def 2 seal Lucina: Reposition, Fury 3, Vantage 3, Spd+3 seal B!Lucina+2: Reposition, Vantage 3, Hone Spd 3 seal Micaiah+1: Spd Ploy 2 seal Used Julia to nuke Kana Turn 1 with the help of boosts and the Ploy, then just killed everyone else as they came. Ridiculously easy.

Going for Kana since I've got 5* Mamui and Silas. 4* Lilina: Meh.

Don't particularly care for anyone here, so might as well try for Saber since he's rare as hell. 4* Ogma: Wrong mercenary.

Alright, time to make my free pull from this banner of...weirdness. Going for Mikoto since she's the only one who doesn't offend me with her existence. 4* Lissa: Nope. And now on to the Tempest Trial banner. I don't have anyone on it, so let's try for Kinoka since bow-fliers are so rare. 5* Kinoka: Well, that's a pleasant surprise! Of course she's +Res/-Spd, so like so many of my recent 5*s she's got an awful bane and a meh boon. -Spd isn't quite so awful on her as it is on, say, Karla, but it's still terrible. I'll take her regardless. Now to see how her armor-piercing bow acquits itself. I've gotten a lot of fliers recently. Kinoka just now, H!Mia from the Halloween banner, and Sumia, Flying!Olivia, Summer!Tana, and Bridal!Sanaki from the Legendary banner.

Maybe? Anyway, I forgot the Arena season ended, so now I'm back up to 25 orbs. Pity rate at 10%, time to cross my fingers and hope. 4* Stahl: Worthless. 3* Seliph: Even more worthless. Alright, I don't like pulling without a full 20 orbs, but at this point I don't feel like scraping up any more. 16 orbs left. 4* Boey: Bleh. And no reds. 11 orbs left, crunch time. 5* Bridal!Sanaki: ......I'm not sure whether I want her or not, especially since I have Giga!Nino. Her IVs are pretty good though, +Atk/-Spd, giving her a healthy 56 Attack before any buffs. At least my pity rate is gone. Might as well pull one more unit. 4* Nowi: Garbage. Well, guess no Eirika for me. That was a hell of a lot of orbs spent there for a 5* I neither need nor want. Well, earlier I got 6 5* for 235 orbs, so overall I think I got off pretty well.

Let's see if I can get Quan as a free pull... 5* Quan: Ayyy. Another strong lance cav joins the team! He's +HP/-Def, so mediocre IVs. Now let's see if my luck can hold. 31 orbs to look for Eirika. 3* Athena: No. 3* Sophia: Garbage. Crap. 22 orbs left, just enough for one more set unless I feel like scraping up more somewhere. 4* Draug: Garbage. And since the rest of the orbs are all grey, I'm going to go do that scraping.
