I'd imagine that Matoi would really like Lancefaire, applicable in her Pegasus and Weapon Master classes. And Lancer access would also grant her access to two more seals and the Breaking Sky Proc as well. But there could be other options, like Raven Strike and Prescient Victory from the Bowman tree, etc. As for redhead Matois (trying to make her look like Cordelia), I'm getting the feeling that Hinoka is probably the better choice… I was looking at her growth rates, and she seems to have better growths. Although we won't know for sure until we get more data, like max stat mods. Hinoka also offers Lancer. The other redhead mother option for her that I'm aware of would be Luna, who mainly seems to offer Hero access, Sol, and Axebreaker (which admittedly helps out with triangle disadvantage). What are your thoughts?

Okay. That makes sense that we don't know yet then. So I guess I'll take a break from the forums for a few days and then check in again to see if new information has come in by that time. Oh, speaking of seals and pairing considerations, if anyone is interested I made a pairing thread a few days ago, but its only currently received a few posts. If anyone is interesting in pairing discussions (children, seals providing class sets to the spouses, etc.), feel fee to use it.

Regarding Children and their class sets… I'm seen that a few of (like in Awakening) had base class that were not in their parent's class set. Example: In cases like these, is the other class of the children in question known yet? Which classes do their retain from their parents and which classes are different? Are the mother's classes inherited normally without being changed/replaced?

I see… so for example, just to ensure I got this correctly: If Luna marries Arthur, for example, she can use a marriage seal to get his Fighter class. She cannot use a marriage seal to get his Cavalier class. If Arthur marries Luna, for example, he can use a marriage seal to get her Mercenary class (and thus also Bow Knight access, plus redundant Brave Hero access), but not her Pegasus Warrior Class. How does it work for Kamui/Corrin? I'd assume that thier spouse cannot get Nohr Prince(ss) and its promotions. Does it default to Corrin's other chosen class instead?

Don't hand axes and the like inflict a cannot double and more easily doubled penalty? If so, it would seem that the Berserker either has the choice of enabling it to fight back against 2 range attacks but making itself more vulernable to being damaged by perhaps finally enabling a double against it, or not equipping the hand axes but at the cost of being able to fight back against attackers.

To confirm: It it only to the partner's original base class/promoted versions, or can it also take their second base class/promoted options?

Yes, I find that a decidedly odd choice… That said, once knowledge of them came out, one of my top choices (for the Hoshido and 3rd routes) was a 2nd gen anyways…. as for Nohr… that's more problematic, possibly, except that there are some possibilities that might appeal from their 2nd gen for me, and even if I go first gen some of the kids aren't likely getting recruited anyways due to the way Nohr is structured.

So is it basically a Genealogy style critical hit, except with a 1.5x multiplier instead of the old 2x multiplier?

To clarify… Marriage Seals and Buddy skills… when they grant extra class change options, does it operate off only the primary class, or does it also grant the ability to change any of the classes, including secondary class trees? Also, to what extent are they available? If a unit who has a mix of Hoshidan and Nohrian classes marries or A+ supports someone from one faction and that person uses a marriage/buddy seal, can that person get the class from the other faction that they don't belong to? Example: Suppose 3rd route Luna marries Tsubaki. Luna has Pegasus Warrior (Hoshidan) and Mercenary (Nohrian) but is a Nohrian unit. Subaki has only Hoshidan classes. If Subaki uses a Marriage Seal, can he become a Mercenary, even though its not a Hoshidan class?

Another pertinent thing will be figuring out which skills to optimize for in the new environment. From our experience, -faires are likely important. The new procs are also something that mixes things up. That and Vengeance was rebalanced anyways. This Breaking Sky proc sounds powerful…. high activation rate and adds half of the enemy strength/magic, if I recall correctly…. would this perhaps be the new best proc? Should we be optimizing for it when pairing for procs (like Vengeance/Luna in Awakening)?

Then the key thing would be . If that doesn't occur, we should be fine.

Are the Kunaibreaker, Tomebreaker, and Bowbreaker skills listed for the correct classes? I'm surprised that both Tomebreaker and Bow Breaker would get moved around like on the original list. But who knows?

No, not from what I'm reading. It looks like its finished, but is not on the game cart. BUT, it IS apparently on Nintendo servers and some hackers apparently breached the servers and stole it directly from it or otherwise tricked the servers into giving it out to them earlier. That's what reading this thread seems to indicate, anyways.

Once interesting thing is the vast majority of the weapon faire skills on on the Hoshidan side, restricted to them except for a few crossover neutral units on the Nohr campaign. Oh, and it would seem (assuming the posted info is correct) that Luna, Lazwald, and Odin's class sets include a Nohrian base class but a Hoshidan secondary class, so Lazwald and Odin also seem to carry a regularly Hoshidan weapon faire each into the Nohrian side. Most of the breakers, in contrast, belong to the Nohrian side. I wonder if you use your neutral crossover units (Silas as a Nohr type unit in Hoshido, Kaze as a Hoshido unit in Nohr) or your mixed class units (Luna, Lazwald, and Odin), if their kids would be able to inherit the classes associated with the other faction. [such as a Nohrian kid getting a Hoshidan class as a result if Luna is able to pass along her Pegasus Warrior class that she supposedly has according to the posted information]. This might have an interesting ramification in pairings for kids.

By the way, as an aside, a day or two ago I started up a "Pairing Thread" for Fates, just like we have for Awakening. At the time, no one seemed to respond to it. But now that we've gotten class sets, personal skills, class skills, the kids, supports, etc., not to mention that some people actually have the game now (although not me), perhaps there would be more interest in starting up discussion there.
