This looks promising! That Shiho character seems nice, too! Though... I see Hinako in those screenshots. Why in the name of heck is Hinako here?!? That is my most burning question about this game atm. xD I mean, I'm happy she is, if Arnice didn't exist, she'd be my favorite protag, but still! Also, thanks for the notification, Shrimpy! ^^

Is that just for the PS4 version, or is it for this particular version of Celceta in general? I love it. XD

Yeah, they even have different dialogues for it. XD Ys 2 was amazing, ngl! Kinda, yeah, haha! I'm struggling the most with dodging and guarding at the right time at the moment (especially guarding), and the charge attack into Skill thing is something I'll have to get the hang of, too. Especially on Duren, since I tend to overshoot with his skill a lot! xD Ooooh! I see! Thank you for clearing that up! ^^ I will say, however, Feena being a good character/love interest or not aside, I do think it would give Adol's character an interesting facet if his reason for adventuring in the first place was also to try and find a way to bring Feena back (beyond him having a wish to see the world, I mean - he doesn't need to lose that aspect to make this work), or cope with losing her. I'm a sucker for those types of stories and characters if they are well done, I'm sorry. XD

Alright, Falcom, we gotta talk. I spend several playthroughs of Ys games mentally memeing on Pikkards about how they are the universe's punchline, and what does Celceta do? A.) Don't give your pets alcohol, kids B.) Falcom, pls C.) XD

And he is utterly obsessed with his muscles. And milkshakes. ... At least he's not a bandit? xD I want to! But the game won't give me that option! xD Unless he somehow turns out to be one of the villains, but they didn't even give him a portrait, so that is highly unlikely. I see! And his personality is prolly not Fei's, either. He's a muscle dude, but also rather shrewd, because he's an information broker. True, but Celceta also has the party system. This remake I'm playing actually came out four years after 8. Last year, as a matter of fact. At least in Europe. No matter, I'll get used to it! It's been really fun so far! Hoooold on, didn't the creators themselves say at one point that the reason Adol doesn't return any girl's affection is because he's still devoted to Feena? I remember reading something like that, at least. Adol, you unfaithful little...! xD

I found Reuben, everyone! Also, Ys Memories of Celceta is Etrian Odyssey. Map out a forest, get a prize. That's the premise to almost every EO game. xD So far, gotta say, man... this combat system will take me a while to get used to, I can already tell. It might be the muscle memory from Lacrimosa of Dana playing tricks on me, but my dodges and blocks feel... ineffective, to say the least (I already had Adol dying on me twice to an early sidequest mini-boss, because I am fucking stupid). Also, I know you. And I am ecstatic to see you this early on! Looks familiar, doesn't she? Also, I cannot help but notice that the artstyle in Memories of Celceta is very Tales-y. Not that I mind, of course! ^^ Also, @Armagon: Doesn't this guy look a little like that Xeno protag you like? Fei, I think? That was my first thought when I saw this guy, anyway.

So... Dana's parts take place at least 65 million years in the past. They never outright confirm this, but just going by real life dates (and please, this world has a Rome, Africa, and Europe, so...), that would be the only logical conclusion to come to, especially when we later learn that Seren Garden was initially destroyed by plate tectonics, which take ages upon ages to change the surface of the Earth around to such a significant degree. And then there's the meteors. Huh. Though... that leaves open as to why Minos is there in Dana's time, when the Ice Age only happened long, LONG after the last dinosaurs died off irl... hmmm.... All this stuff is weird, is what I'm saying! xD Dangit, Falcom! ^^
