As much as I try not to use Seth, I have to agree. He is the only character that can be arena abused in chapter 5. (Without worring/savestats.) Besides, we have the Tower. Who cares about stealing EXP?

I only like Sue & Thany, and when I train one, I do not train the other. The Route I was going to go was Sacae in my last playthrough. My ROM bugged and I only got to Fir's joining chapter. :/ I had already promoted Clarine & Noah.

Does it have something to do with the lower a character's growth rates are, the more it is raised? Someone said something about it not doing much to Ike, so that is why I was wondering.
