I agree. Spam is one thing but the level of idiocy in FFtF is too much. It's some of the worst I've ever seen. And the bad thing about idiocy is that it tends to bleed into other areas. If members can get away with being totally idiotic and then watch the moderators try to ignore the problem and let it continue is very encouraging. Especially since this forum has a track record of not fulfilling punishments. It will bleed into other areas and thus render intelligent discussion difficult to obtain. Then you and the rest of the mod crew will have a huge mess to clean up and you will have to try to force good posting habits on your out of control members (which doesn't work). If you stop the idiocy now you will not only not have a huge mess to clean up, you will create a slew of new members with great posting habits, who doesn't want that? Now the cleanup of FFtF will be a good sized job, but it's nothing a team of decent moderators shouldn't be able to handle.

Noish can kill? When did this happen? Unless you mean the CHANCE that he could kill with his skills, yeah. However those skills never seem to activate too often and Alec has a 100% chance of both his skills activating. Plus, he passes those skills on. Unless you pair Tiltyu with Azel (and that means passing up having Holesty for the first chapter) her children will never double attack either. Because she struggles to use it? Unless you get lucky she'll never be able to get decent level gains out of the arena. Unfortunately Tiltyu lacks Vantage, when the enemy phase rolls around and you have enemies attacking Tiltyu will almost always be in the line of fire. There are a lot of javelin users in this game and bow users. And since Tiltyu is so frail it almost spells certain doom to have Wrath activate! Which characters CAN one shot enemies? Sigurd, Levin and perhaps Brigid? He cannot one shot enemies but he can double attack them. I find him not being able to kill even priests hard to believe. I almost laughed. She is SURROUNDED by Pirates, when Wrath activates it kills one pirate. Then another can attack her and BAM! She's dead! Unless your playing some whacked up FE4, you can't use Reserve in the middle of the enemy's phase. As I said, he can father children. He passes on the oh-so-vital Pursuit skill and with the right lady he can pass on some very good growths. He also passes on Awareness which is good to have around just in case. The second statement is completely personal experience. Incase you didn't know, Personal Experience Means Nothing. So wait...being able to keep up with the bulk of the party and not being able to doesn't give Alec an advantage? I for one am not going to slow down for one uneccesary fragile mage.

Definitely the child sacrifices of FE4. It wasn't scary in it's own right but it made me think about how this is actually happening in the world.

You see Tiltyu, you can baby any unit and make them good, whether it's Bastian or Tiltyu. But you see, babying a unit when they don't bring anything vital to the party is absolutely pointless. She joins in a chapter where she is two shotted with nothing standing between her and getting attacked. She joins severely underleveled and gets slaughtered at the arena. It's a difficult and unrewarding task to baby Tiltyu as all she has is Wrath (if it's activated it means almost certain death when facing an army of enemies like FE4 does). Alec is useful in the Prologue and Chapter 1. He can carry his own weight for the rest of the 1st generation. His awareness skill is useful for recruiting Ayra AND in Chapter 5 when your facing down Thracia's Knight Killer squad. More units to combat them is always helpful (as they won't be able to harm Alec due to Awareness canceling their ability to critical). Oh yeah, Alec can double attack too (which Tiltyu cannot do until promotion). Alec makes a great parent as he gives his children Pursuit and some fairly good stats. He also gives Awareness which is useful in the second generation.

But it's the S-rank to her main weapon. Considering the lack of available S-rank weapons you'd want to be having as many as you possibly can.

Blegh, I hate Astrid. Her only good points are the Knight Ward (which she won't keep for long) and Paragon. But even with Paragon she is still a pain in the ass to train and generally unrewarding as she brings nothing unique to the part (even worse is she CANNOT use the Double Bow). Her stats are on par with many non-paladin units that bring so much more to your party, the only reason she gets used is because people like her.

Like Celice I'm just going to pirate it. Why wait for an import when you could have it in 2 minutes?

Yes, there will be Wyvern Rider, Wyvern Knight and Wyvern Lord. And yes, Falco Knights will get staves.

Sorry buddy, their not. Each game has it's own instrument table which is unique to that game, thus it is impossible for music to directly transfer from one game to another.

Promoting is handled the same way it is in FE4. Your unit promotes when they reach level 20 and their level doesn't reset to 1. Level cap is 30. As for the actually having units promote part... we were thinking of auto promotion apon reaching level 20 (kinda like FE9/10).

I believe it's said in the first post that we're adding new skills. Though mostly modernization of FE4's system to FE9's. For instance, before Nihil protected against super effective weapons, skills and criticals. No longer. Nihil now only protects against enemy skills while Fortify protects against super effective weapons and Fortune protects against criticals. We could make entirely new skills (since that's essentially what's being done)

I can't believe people are actually complaining about getting new members! (hordes of them might I add) It's absolutely ridiculous. You all should feel blessed that it's your community getting the major boost. Especially if you helped make that community into what it is, you should feel proud to have it essentially become #1. The FESSers aren't going to ruin the community. If they were that bad their community would've died a LONG time ago.

Seeing as people have actually started noticing this board, I figure I should start giving Serenes Forest updates on the project again. Unfortunately there is not much to talk about. Most of what's going on now is boring coding stuff that you guys would be completely uninterested in hearing about. We're hoping to have our next release out by the end of December. This new patch will contain the prologue, chapter 1 and chapter 2. There's also the first of the programmed skills to see.

Those always help, however in my experience it doesn't really fix the problem. Most hacking questions are not frequently asked.

Looking through the ROM Hacking board there are a lot of question topics. It would make it difficult to actually find what one is looking for in the section. If your going to inherit the bulk of FESS's members then something needs to be done about this now before it's too late (if I remember correctly, there were pages among pages of question topics). Now, there are two ways to go about this. The first one would be to make a topic where people ask all their questions; however this may not be good in the long run because not all questions will get answered in a cluttered topic like that. The other solution (which I prefer) is making a sub-forum of Coding & Scripting for questions (called "Questions"). What do you guys think? Does anyone have any other solution to this problem?
