  1. Perhaps, but Marcus mentions that his father might be evil? Potential Relation?
  2. Kamui seems to be sporting more western esque armor. Being regarded as the prince, why is he away from his home? We know we play as the Easterners. Does this mean he defects to the the party we play and the western empire wages war to get him back?
  3. Remove Children, they don't have a place in the theme of this game Rework S-ranks to have Same sex S-ranks and non marriage S-ranks No world map and instead use a linear branching structure based on multiple possible objectives that could also lock off after doing certain ones, thereby influencing part of the story Main Missions have more variety such as Defend and escape Maps have more elevation and more gimmicks like Breakable walls Bring Back casual mode (I'd like to do some experimental runs from time to time) Pair up has a disadvantage to some stats like movement Push Returns (and you can't push a pair up) More activate-able abilities like Gamble (But remove galeforce and the Rally commands) An MU with a stark personality and isn't secretly an amnesiac monster like Robin. My most important want: A more focused story, Awakening tried to do too much with three completely separated ideas alongside being a final fanservice as well as being IS's test of their 3ds engine. Here we have the West Vs East Conflict, a potential monster situation and the dancer girl. Looks easier to tie together than awakening's subplots to me.
  4. If we actually got a good archer? Yeah, I like that, but this largely means that enemy bows are going to be a pain to deal with especially knowing how suicidal the AI tends to be at times. At least bows are usable for once and not pointless compared to the other ranged stuff that is in the weapon triangle. This is all assuming bows actually get the boost at ranged. Otherwise, then the dream is dead for a FE that doesn't oppress bows without making a crazy individual sniper like Shinon.
  5. Hmm, well we know he can do intrigue well and a good detective manga really does need some characters to piece apart. Maybe he's not doomed to suck? The theme of the trailer was fantastic and the we really have more info than we should at this point in time, but the so far story to me does have its mysteries to fill. and not the "OOHH marth's back?" Kind.
  6. I don't think so, those might be the potential futures or "paths" that we can create with our decisions. "What If I did this?" Boom New future illustrated in that realm. But all this is rather confusing we have the custom character Kamui who might be the one who attacks our dancer friend but dissolves for some reason. We have the Western/Japanese Conflict with the two "generals" one who we know as Marcus and the other presumably the leader of the other faction. Marcus begins to question his father at some point in the story. We can infer that this "father" figure might have been the emperor figure in the dancing CGI. Then we have this alternate realm. But Kamui's place in this worries me much like Robin from FE: A, I don't want him to detract from the others and become a dull amnesiac monster like Robin's backstory was. But the awakening sequence already has people who know your name, so amnesia might not be a thing. Then we have the monster figure that Marcus kills as well as the Mouth of Truth golem. How do these things match up? I suppose we'll find out in summer or hopefully more in march.
  7. "Choice" is the key term here. Iwata referred to combat and all the little decisions involved with a strategy game as well as the larger story implications, it seems that this IS want to expand this aspect of the fire emblem game. Weapon variety is likely to be very high and the Avatar this time around may finally be a meaningful character that actually will have development based on the decisions made. However, I'm very pleased to hear "challenges that haven't been seen before" which would imply a superior mission variety. Maps and Backgrounds look more interesting/alive and the battle transition is fantastic. On to character design....It looks like Awakening, which is fine for me personally since I liked those designs outside some classes (I'll never get used to knights in 3d lol, way too bulky and ridiculous looking). But here I like cavalry much better, myrmidon design's a bit more tasteful too, I actually like the adjustment to that one. Marus is going to probably be someone I like in this game. I'm curious about the other samurai though. Also, yay, older spells are back, but I'd like a big nerf to dark magic. Quite excited to see what IS can do, the engine is done, the future is secure, they have the opportunity to focus once again on a goal much like a game like MAjora's mask or FC3 Blood Dragon instead of being a weird amalgamation of previous game mechanics. FE: If is in a position to be something quite special.
  8. As is, I want supports to be limited to "pick four" . Remove children outright. Waifus I don't really care for, and really exist outside the game. Awakening was just trying to be fanservicey as the final game. Avatar, I have no issue with, but I want some development, some tragic flaw to be overcome that's not amnesia like Robin. If they're both like awakening and its goals, then no to both. But this game has a different set of goals that might change my mind about the avatar. I'd like more S-ranks to not end in marriage though and Same sex S-ranks please though that doesn't have to be marriage either.
  9. Is it safe to assume this game will have customizable protagonist in some form? If so, I felt Robin was FAR too neutral in terms of character. I would appreciate if Kamui had a more distinct personality. Though the emphasis on choice in this game eerily reminds me of Bioware...
