I actually have a theory about Aqua's dance, its not exactly a performance, its a ritual of some sort. According to some released screenshots of the CGI cutscene in later parts it looks like her dance is manipulating the water about her and presumably acts as her dragon's vein.

Will your first playthrough be with m!Kamui or f!Kamui?

2 runs of each game with each gender, 2 hard mode runs, 2 lunatic runs, I think I'll be playing this game for awhile. -
Is nohr darker? Is hoshido traditionaler?

Maybe there won't be any weapon shop? Weapon shop discussions.

I'd hope it wasn't random weapons, but perhaps extra weapons instead, though they specifically mentioned "Components" perhaps an upgrade system to replace forging only way harder? -

I think the Weapon shops exist, but prices in this game are much higher than other games and the shops contain a limited quantity of weapons (maybe 1 or 2 of 2-3 types). However, the other shops carry the consumables like vulnaries, tonics (which actually might be useful in this game depending on the debuff enemies) and holy water as well as various types of Staves, which are priced only slightly higher than other games. In Nohr accessibility will be tough and getting to these shops will likely be vital. On Hoshido, actually accessing the shops isn't as difficult, but you still have the large monetary requirement. -
Is this game trying to cover all angles?

I think it'll pull it off better than awakening did because of the 3 campaigns thing. Awakening wasn't focused enough and this game seems pretty intense on exploring the two nations and their history. -
Honestly, I think you might need these classes, because thanks to dual striking enemies, they're going to do more damage, more often, meaning healing will probably be very important and organizing set ups to dual guard various healers and the like will probably be a very important strategy.

There's probably no gameplay disadvantage from playing on the 2DS.

Poly's Handy-Dandy Guide to the Voice Cast of FEif (UPDATED 5/27)

Shame they'll only have only couple lines each, unless IS has more of a voice budget and there's more variety in the sound clips this time around.- 91 replies

Concert minor update: Theme song name and bit on Aqua's role
Neoleo21 replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem Fates
Are those shots of the CGI cutscene of aqua dancing? Then what's with all the water? -
Even the butler has gauntlet hands lol. Not that its bad thing, Joker's got a really cool design.

It feels like Sakura's Naivete is going to be something that comes up later on as she faces reality that her people pretty much kidnapped an innocent girl (unless she's evil or something lol).

There might be some romance between certain characters, but marriage and children as a mechanic seem unlikely.

Those look like the weird trees from the trailer, so it could be the chapter where you first encounter the Nosferatu.

I just noticed that Joker has metal gauntlets, I think this guy will stand among the great butlers of the world.

Fire Emblem If is Being Promoted at Japanese 7-Elevens

Well...its more advertisement than what Xenoblade X got. Ah well, shows Nintendo has more interest in expanding FE than making Xenoblade a bigger thing (though it probably has more interest in the west). -
We don't know but I personally don't care.

Those Shurikens tho...I don't think they'll deal that much damage by themselves, but those debuffs are nasty, imagine doing a Nohr defend mission and having to fight an army of those things and mages and paladins and Snipers. Scary thought. Edit: Is it just me or does magic casting look much cleaner and elaborate than it does in awakening? Lots of really cool Visual changes going on.

While visiting other countries could be interesting, it means nothing if I don't get a good enough taste of the culture and customs like I did when the plains of Sacae came up. I'd rather the game focus the attention on the details of Nohr and Hoshido and really develop those two nations rather than expanding outward. If anything the third path can involve the "other" nations.

I don't really think this stuff is too complicated like FE5 was, though probably more strategic overall at least in the early and mid game than Awakening. I like a number of the maps they've shown, not a whole lot of just open fields. I feel its all going to come down to the item availability and the story at this point to see if they can really make something great.

Its worth noting that the iron naginata gives buffs while the normal lance does not.

Its about time the direct servants to the crown got some action.

Will the characters be "idealistic" love again?
Neoleo21 replied to PokeFan's topic in Fire Emblem Fates
There probably won't be a whole lot of that in my opinion, will there be some marriages? Of course there will, there always are.
