I recall that there was a feature to skip all the way to chapter 7 in each version for some reason.

I doesn't work in awakening because unless you count the dlc, it breaks the grandfather clause so much it's not even funny. Another big reason is that the children father supports in that game were extremely generic and ignorable for the most part, this reduces the characterization and lessens the weight of the children's mission. This is why that if children return, it has to be through specific pairings being able to s-rank and instead of using time travel, the world operates on multiverse theory. This ignores the rules of time travel entirely and IS would not only have to establish the how. But I think the why is more interesting to speculate about.

I honestly think that supports might be more limited this time around and only certain pairings will achieve S-rank, this keeps the children and the tighter characterization.

I had a suspicion of simultaneous universes since the first trailer. What Kanna states basically confirms that. I think the biggest question is why? Is it another god awful universe like awakening, which effectively means we failed to stop something (and in that how is that event tied to aqua and the siblings?)? Also I think some pairings might be more limited this time around, the ships probably won't be infinite.

Don't the lines kamui's daughter basically give away that fire emblem if operates on multiverse theory? Thus the children being there doesn't actually break any rules unless there's literally no context for their appearance.

3DS games are usually $40. Nintendo would absolutely insane if there isn't a discount for getting one version. I hope they go the mario golf route personally though. The initial game is cheaper and the dlc is half price.

Someone tell me, how does the two versions thing fit into the Samson/Arran choice of FE1? All I get is that we barely know anything about either aside for class and here the average consumer is just going to know the theme of each game. Also, both games are over 3 GB right? So together, the cart would have to be an 8 gig cart, which is ridiculously expensive for a single handheld game. Maybe the game as a whole was too ambitious to be on a handheld after all.

Some of these animations are GBA levels of awesome holy...especially those ending animations.

This ain't Monolith Soft where all the marketing material is basically one giant Red herring for their past games (don't know how Xeno X is like). IS is pretty straight forward, though Fates might be a tad different with the different writer and there ARE "contrivances". Its just pretty hard to imagine all the family members getting out of this awful situation alive. I will name my character Mephiles for that line, fits perfectly.

Isn't your favorite FE game pretty depressing as well, I can't see as much more worse than that. Though, if you actually kill all of your siblings depending on the path, the ending's gonna feel bittersweet no matter what. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Lamest e3 yet, worse than e3 2014 overall I feel. The third party games were worse as well as the presentation for the most part (special exception to ff7 and Shenmue 3). Microsoft has its holiday lineup but not much afterward, Sony's the opposite pretty much. The most exciting parts were in Sony's conference but Shenmue and ff7 are long off multiplats. Nintendo was awful despite having the best exclusive line up for the year(special exception to platinum made star fox zero).

It's hard to evaluate a whole character from some CGI scenes, but it seems clear that Aqua is obviously hiding something, probably a curse of sorts in her arm. This later becomes a source of confrontation between kamui and aqua later on. Seems like an obvious progression but there's little to tie it all together. Also I laugh at the idea of a team up in Either plot, Elise's lines are usually indicative of death and she's trying to forgive aka you probably kill her, doubt there will be a team up after that moment. In the third path it seems a tad obvious to unite the factions.

Well, nintendo just lost a franchise lol. As for myself "I have fury", I'm normally extremely tolerant of most things, but one thing I despise is changing music or localizing music. The end result like here is almost always worse. I'm importing the japanese OST but I hope dual Audio with Renka's version is in the localized version( though the voice acting isn't bad really). Two versions, so this is effectively a $55 release in the west, is it worth that price in the end wait till June 25th to find out if nintendo screwed up!

You guys are having way too much fun with this. Odin's Skill is just ridiculous in the best way possible, I hope they can translate that to the Localized version.

Admittedly the My Castle Face rubbing oddity speaks to me as IS running out of ideas and the weirdness of that could turn off people.

To have strategy, I think you have to ask "What am I trading off to take this action?" in regards to preparation. We haven't seen if Forging costs gold in addition to external materials, its reasonable to assume this is still the case though, which means you give up potentially buying another weapon that could be very useful. We really haven't seen everything in the my castle that could use those materials. Assuming those things exist, you give those up to forge. Not only that, but almost everything on the my castle exists on a progression curve, so you can't have everything at once when you gain access, that's another trade off and choice to be made. Naturally LTC runs will find the best route in the end however, they always do.

Hmmm, this is interesting, its clear materials are intended as a limiting factor. I'm pretty sure forging will also cost money though and that stuff is limited no matter how you see it.
