  1. I actually see a lot of people (who aren't hateful against Awakening's kids) like Severa. I like her, don't love her (she's my 2nd least favorite of the 10 Awakening kids I like). I think part of her appeal is being tsundere (some people like that). Her attitude (particularly towards Owain pre A support) used to annoy me but I found as annoying/rude as she could be in her early supports that she usually made up for it with her dere side in her A or S supports. Also, for me personally at least, she was such an awesome hero (easily one of my best kids) that I developed a soft spot for her. Hard to hate a unit who is so strong. I'd rather have Severa replaced by any other female but Kjelle. That's not me disliking Severa, just that (personality wise) she was my 2nd least favorite female child, even though I still liked her overall. I agree with this.
  2. Sakura's seems to be quiet, timid girl like a Florina (minus the androphobia) while Sakurai's more a optimistic genki girl, probably like Lissa without the tomboyness or Cynthia without the dreams of being a hero. Seems like a noticeable difference to me.
  3. Maybe it's just because my best friend goes through the same thing, but I found this post touching. Shouldn't the same logic apply to Camilla, whoses "issue" be fixed by closing her inner thigh gap and extending her armor to her chest? Or do you consider that more complex than adding a pair of pants? (Not trying to be sassy) BTW Thor I'd also love to see a redesigned Charlotte, even though I've attempted to defend parts of her design before. Good point. Maybe Sakura can be the one who's secretly not just the sweet, timid moe girl. (I don't have a problem with that trope at all, but Sakura looks annoying for some reason.
  4. I need more info on the eldest brothers, but I give Ryouma the slight edge just because I find cavaliers and their promotions boring despite how good they are. Also love his Super sayian 3 like (black) hair. Hinoka vs Camilla is a toss-up. They're my 2 favorite siblings. Although Camilla has 2 weapons Hinoka's lacking but I'm not that shallow... Leon vs Takumi, I much prefer the brash looking Dark Knight. I think Leon > Takumi in every way. Elise vs Sakura, I have to give Elise the edge. I normally like moe types, but for some reason Sakura gives off a vibe of possibly being too soft spoken and timid. Although if she's written well I've probably love her. Elise gets the edge for being the cute genki girl. She's not the first FE character with so many open areas for arrows, but she seems to be getting a disproportionate amount of flack for it compared to past (Dieck, Vaike, Yarne, Gonzalez, etc). In fact, she's actually much better armored than any of the aforementioned units. Really, her only exposed area is her boobs and the area above them. As a wyvern rider, her (unnecessarily) exposed panty area's very unlikely to be hit.
  5. I understand the complain about Kamui's weird twirly attack (looks like he's drunk. If he wants to spin and slice, he can just copy Kazahana's critical animation.) But I don't understand the Aqua criticism, is it because of how she's swinging her spear like it's an axe or sword? That's the only weird thing I can spot.
  6. I probably missed the announcement, but did they say that attack stance will happen 100% of the time for adjacent units?
  7. Yea, none of those sound like big flaws so it's good to hear another positive review on it. Well I'm the exact opposite, I love anime (I only started watching several months ago) although I've never seen Death Note and I don't want to watch Attack on Titans because of the whole thing with people getting eaten alive. And I forgot about Illya von Eieznberg! I actually like her. I think she does the whole cutesy violent small girl thing without being too insane. And I'm actually watching the anime of Higurashi no naku koro ni currently...I think you're referring to Rena. The first time she was possessed was super freaky. I'm actually sensitive about watching this stuff as well but I'm pushing through for the mystery.... And let's just hope for the best.
  8. I loved most of the Awakening kids but to make kids who are extremely similar in the following game does feel weird and a tad lazy. I feel it kind of takes away from if and Awakening. I'm not sure if it'd be better for them to be renamed kids who the children of the first generation units or unrelated look-a-likes. Won't stop me from using them though unless their supports are copy-and-paste though.
  9. I really want to play that game when I can borrow my buddy's PSP Vita. I keep hearing good stuff about it. I think gothic chick and cute lolita is actually a good description of her fashion, although like I said to you on the other her outift doesn't bother me except (excluding the ribbon) I'd prefer if it only had 2 main colors... And I might need to your anime list (FYI I'm not literally saying you have a list written down), none of the small girls I've seen are violent psychopaths so seeing some who are would be interesting All the animes I've watched recently have little sisters who are either cute or annoying (in a childlike way). Usually both. And it'd be interesting if Elise had a violent side, but everything about her bio and text so far implies she's going to mostly be a sweet, optimistic geniki girl.
  10. Normal, unless it's like Awakening's "Normal" mode, which was such a joke I had to restart at chapter 3. Classic- tempted to go Casual so I can save in the middle of maps, but I feel that lessens my focus. Reset- always. Didn't reset ONCE in POR and still regret it. No grinding until post game. Don't want to ruin the challenge. Hoshido first but I like almost everything I've heard about Nohr more besides classes, which I find equal.
  11. While I think My Castle could actually be fun outside of face rubbing, I pray we're done hearing about it. So many more worthy topics to cover.
  12. I think it's interesting how some people (I might even say most, at least here) are choosing the game they consider better first. I think Nohr sounds better which is exactly why I'd rather play after Hoshido.
  13. Well Owain's one of my favorite fire emblem characters ever, but otherwise I agree. Except I look at more like "too many others would make Awakening's cast feel less unique" than that it would bloat this game's cast. I wouldn't mind if they tone down Severa's Luna tsundere moments and let Inigo Lazward be more fleshed out and be a little luckier with women. It could be me but I don't remember Sain being so whiny, but I think that was also because he chased after his peers instead of random village girls... The only reason I disagree with the first 2 sentences is I'm worried that they're supports will be too similar to their Awakening look-a-likes if the theory that they're the present timeline kids all grown up is true. But if they can make their supports original, than I'd agree. They could do that by focusing more on their motivations, backstories and showing other aspects of their character. I also wouldn't mind getting some small tidbits about how Ylisse and their cast is doing if they are in fact the present children of First generation units.
  14. What little sister are you referring to? Just curious. I don't follow any series with little sisters who are anything more than side characters. And yea the black does kind of ruin the cuteness of the pink (I think that's what you're saying), but the hearts don't bother me. She's like 14 probably, it's not unusual she might want to make her outfit cute somehow. And she's a healer, so you could always look at the hearts as representing health. Actually looking at her outfit again, I'd prefer they either just have it black and pink or (my preference) black and white, with maybe a slight pink trim on the bottom of her dress. But having all 3 featured so much looks weird on her. I'm cool with the pink bow regardless. Now you've got me wondering what it would have been like if she was a violent, mischievous type to fit in with the rest of Nohr and be a counter for timid Sakura. The same way you do with real life busty (DD and up) women lol....
  15. I feel the same way. Even though I prefer male self-insert characters, I'm leaning towards using female Kamui just because of his face. His hair isn't great but it doesn't bother me. Although I'm not sure it fits that look on his face....
  16. Same here, although the recent surplus of characters has it made it so now I'm more slightly interested in Nohr's cast than Hoshido's (even if I find the Awakening expy kids unnecessary, I still love them). As far classes go, I don't find that either side has an advantage except for the dark magic users all being on Nohr. So even thought the lure of Nohr's stronger than ever (I initially only preferred it because of higher difficulty and varied map objectives), I'm sticking to my plan of playing the stated easier game first. I liked the customization in Awakening but I'd rather they only use it every other title or so...for variety's sake. A series like this, imo, doesn't need customization as a routine feature. I find the thought of him having a fangirl amusing considering his repeated failure with women...
  17. Maybe she can flash units with them to make them unable to attack during the enemy phase? And I once watched a video of an EXTREMELY BUSTY women break a watermelon with her chest....was very weird. I don't think they gave her black because she's supposed to be intimidating, I think she's just meant to blend in with her blood siblings who all have black as their primary color. Given the hearts (which I can't spot I but I'll take your word) and pink, plus the sausage twintails, I think they were aiming for cute.
  18. I agree with wanting more info on magic and supports. I really hope supports get it's own page so we can know: How much chatting, hot springs, and facerubbing (shivers) boost support points, if S supports are returning (and they're still mostly exclusive to confessions, which is what I hope), and hopefully confirmation they aren't bringing back the limit of only having 5 support conversations (I can't imagine they would though). And of course getting a few new characters and classes or skills would be nice. Speaking of skills, I really want them to state if second seals are officially gone and if so how the skill system works now.
  19. I'd like her to come back as playable character but I have my doubts for some reason. I could see her being in charge of tutorials. I also think she could be either a traveling merchant or in charge of special in-chapter shops that would appear in certain chapters.
  20. They might be including DLC only classes like the Dread Fighter and Bride from Awakening.
  21. Well I think there is a difference between the people who hate units for their appearance (Camilla and Charlotte seem to be the primary recipients of this) and just slightly disliking a unit's design (Nyx's big spike on hair ornament looks really weird and stupid, but it won't stop me from using her). I think it's unfair to dislike either Camilla or Charlotte for having an exposed chest given the number of males with exposed chest in FE (I understand gender differences play a role, but let'). It's not as if Basillo's exposed chest is somehow better defended than either of the aforementioned girls. I think disliking the way their boobs are shown design wise (i.e. someone said something like they felt Charlotte's looked fake and unnatural they way they're displayed) is fine. Agree 100%. Can't understand it's purpose. I'm holding out hope (no matter how improbable) it's a leash to some kind of hidden weapon.
  22. I've considered this as well but I feel like I'd rather just use a non-generic unit who can actually gain experience and support points. Although if we have one of those chapters like Chapter 21 in FE6 where you can just bring a crazy amount of units I'd totally bring some units as meat shields. I love this post. I actually like the idea. Maybe not for a whole game, but maybe there could be a gaiden chapter or two where you got to bring like 20-50 generic soldiers to fight against a large opposing army of say 50+ units. The generic enemy units could be slightly weaker but they'd also be accompanied by a dozen or so mini-bosses who are designed to be taken on by you're regular (i.e., non-generic) units. Of course it would need to be on a much, much larger map... And as for "12 people doesn't feel like an army" and feel like super sayians, I've always looked at the player units as the equivalent to a special strike force that handles the toughest units while the generic soldiers fight more mundane battles elsewhere and maintain the peace of an area after you leave.
  23. Just my two cents but I don't think special support situations like Chrom or Pent and Louise need their own thread. They don't usually occur enough to warrant their own thread from the games I've played. I think just having a section in the original post of the Support Thread labeled something like "Unique Support Situations" would be fine. Or it could just be listed under an FAQ at the end of the post, depending on how it's organized. True, but I do think at the minimum it would be nice to have the route exclusive items listed separately on the items thread so people won't have to scroll through the list looking for indicators of which items belong to which path. Ditto for any path exclusive non-personal skills. Also, maybe it goes without saying, but the items thread should also have a section indicating which characters cause certain weapons to be sold at a discount.
  24. I know there's still a lot we don't know about Captured units, but going off of what we do know, how do you plan on using them, if at all? Personally, I can't see myself using them at all since I assume they lack supports and the various dialogue like critical cut-in lines. A unit would have to have a very useful skill that I couldn't get in the game.
  25. I feel the same concern. I dislike that we're stuck using these one specific character for each route. This feels like it would have been a great opportunity to use skill scrolls so you can chose who you want to capture units. Plus I dislike it being a personal skill since I doubt we'll want/need to use it every chapter.
