  1. Oh? That's news to me. Also it seems like I misread your original post, so sorry about that. Then yeah, I guess I can see that happening. But really? Anyone can become a Great Lord?
  2. I believe that applies specifically to the Drain skills only, so no.
  3. Yeah I'm aware of that, but Arthur starts with a Luck base of 1 and a 10% Luck growth. His Luck drops by 2 and his growth drops to 5% upon promoting to a Berserker, so he averages out to lol 1 Luck by 20/20. Pretty much everyone else gets Luck in the double digits so he's losing out on a lot more than 3 Skill's worth of Hit. If you're assuming everyone will be at max stats for postgame then I guess my argument is irrelevant, but at this point it's not really clear if people will be able to reach their caps in every stat because of the new Seal system. At the very least, it seems like other characters will have an easier time capping their Skill than for Arthur to even reach double digits in Luck. Not to say his hit rate is actually bad though. It would be pretty hilarious to see Arthur vs. Arthur in pvp where they have 100% crit rates on each other.
  4. Dunno about in-game item locations, but it should be possible to get any weapon on either side at least through Streetpass. Funny you mention Arthur, because Arthur might be literally the only unit in the game whose Luck stat is so bad that it noticeably reduces his hit rate. Enough to lose the Hit advantage he has over other units with lower Skill growth, at least.
  5. Are there any exceptions to the rule where the child inherits the mother's hair color? Like M!Kanna or Shigure maybe?
  6. There is. Looks like he forgot to include it
  7. Thanks Vincent. I noticed a few things that are inconsistent with the text dump/what I have: - For the hoe weapon, I think the description says terrain effects are disabled for both enemies and allies. At least I assume that's what "敵味方" means. (Edit: I think this is just a way of saying both the user and the enemy) - The S-rank Oboro shuriken makes it easier for you to double attack AND for you to be double attacked, both by 5. Also not sure where the Def/Res -5 came from, but maybe that part just isn't mentioned in the short description. - Pretty sure the name for Felicia's weapon is Ice Plate and not Ice Blood, seems like you misread 皿 as 血. Btw I like your choice of translation for "Camilla's Sexy axe" haha
  8. It really isn't that difficult for the game to check if a certain unit's stats are legal, depending on their caps. The question is whether IS will actually bother to implement such a thing.
  9. On the bright side, it does seem like weapon selection will come down to more than just lolbraveweapons like it was in Awakening, so that may open up a whole new level of theorycrafting for situational builds. As long as most of the children are similarly viable, there may still be an incentive to know certain "matchups". Assuming stat inheritance for 3rd gen doesn't add an extra +1 to all mods, 3rd gen Kanna (being real optimistic here) may not end up being as stupid broken as 3rd gen Morgan was. Most of the gen 1 units have mod totals that add up to +0 or +1, so breeding for an incredibly high cap in one stat will come with real drawbacks in others that can be exploited by other human players.
  10. Well FE has shown (on occasion) in the past that they can write protagonists well, but as long as the protagonist is advertised as a self-insert he/she is doomed to be bland. Unfortunately it seems like at this point there would be a massive outcry if the self-insert option were ever taken out in future games. Not sure if many people would be happy with a compromise where the protagonist is 100% their own established character (with limited supports and such), but can have their appearance and other attributes customized. The ass-kissing, however, can be taken the hell out without having any sort of negative impact on the game.
  11. Honestly the stat inheritance news is a bit disappointing, because that means the children will completely eclipse the parents as units again. At least there are a bit more children to go around this time I guess
  12. I read somewhere (I think it was Reddit) that Nohr's Lunatic mode actually starts off relatively easy but gets harder as you progress. It would be amazing if this is true.
  13. I guess you can do that for now. Since the original Mjolnir doesn't exist in this game, I don't know if the localizers will necessarily have a reason to call it something different in English. The wiki can probably make a note at the beginning that "This is a different weapon in FE14", before all of the charts. I can't think of an elegant way to address this issue that doesn't involve either 1) explicitly noting these bonuses for every single katana/naginata/etc., or 2) mentioning the innate bonuses on the pages for Katana/Naginata/etc. but making it easily missable for people who view individual weapon pages. I'd personally just settle for the first way and write a statement like "This weapon is a katana, and thus grants Spd +1 and Def/Res -1" on the page of every weapon it applies to. Raijin Katana is a katana. I'm not sure what the problem is here? Unless you're referring to the general problem of how to classify the Hoshidan weapons, in which case I'd just write "Sword (Katana)" for the weapon type. Functionally a sword, but has katana properties.
  14. Yeah, it was established that classes specializing in a single type of weapon are the ones to get S ranks, presumably to make them stand out more from classes that can use multiple weapon types. Elite Ninjas/Maids/Butlers are the exception because there is no promoted class that specializes in only hidden weapons or staves.
  15. Hmm...assuming those were raw stats not boosted by weapons/items/pairup or anything like that, that's odd... I only came to that conclusion because even with her mods, her tier 1 caps and promotion bonuses are too low for that to happen. Maybe I'm forgetting about something.
  16. This is probably too obvious to overlook, but are they entirely sure that they aren't getting any stat bonuses from anything? I don't have the game so I don't know whether it's possible to distinguish a capped+boosted stat from both a capped+unboosted stat and an uncapped+boosted stat.
  17. According to my calculations here she rams her Str cap as hard as Sain did in FE7: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=55243 Also that strength mod; it's interesting how in this game 3 out of 4 of the people tied for the highest Str mod are girls. Fates girls lift! Did you giver her energy drops? Even if she gained Str literally every level it wasn't capped, she can't reach her tier 2 cap by level 5. Edit: or any of those stats for that matter...
  18. Updated Clubs through Batons and Axes through Staves for people who want a preview of these weapons before Vincent updates the main site. For the most part, weapon descriptions are available but the specific numbers are not.
  19. We already have Fire Emblem: Dancing All Night so it's on its way there.
  20. I understand that it would be normal for the kids themselves since they lived natural lives from their own frame of reference, but I still think it would be weird from the perspective of the gen 1 characters. But whatever, I concede to your points
  21. Well yeah. I guess. But if you poured magic water on a 3-month old infant and he/she suddenly "matured" into an 18-year old physiologically ready to bang, you would not find this the slightest bit strange/uncomfortable?
  22. Why does July 4th go to Kisaragi? They missed the opportunity to give it to Arthur/Harold
  23. Man...I dunno how to feel about that, since unlike in Awakening, these children are your friends' actual children and not just different versions of their children from a different dimension... Literally this Except replace that with "imma put dat in an accelerated time chamber and then hit dat"
