Ghost Ship and Father and Son are pretty difficult IMO. What really made Father and Son difficult for me was the challenge of recruiting Rennac. You have to hunt him down, so you can't turtle through the Sleep and Berserk staves, and then you also need to escort a healer through a gauntlet of enemies if you don't want to fork over a bunch of gold. Queen of White Dunes is also sort of annoying. Scorched Sand is not difficult but really frustrating to low turn for me at least, as is Two Faces of Evil.

I was thinking of this during School of Hard NOCs- what would people think about a game where editing posts was allowed? Not just for like editing typos and whatnot, but a game where editing actual game content was allowed. What effect would do you guys think that would have on the game?

I played CoD like a whole bunch of times and never figured out that the reinforcements are based on entering certain zones until I started drafting and I saw that people got super low TCs and asked them how they did so. I don't think the average casual player would figure out the reinforcement patterns that easily. I feel like FE8 HM is more frustrating in a lot of ways because the map design is more intelligent and requires more thought as far as low-turning goes because of things like status staves (Father and Son comes to mind) and more annoying enemy layouts in Rout maps and such. But for players who're willing to go slower (by turtling through status staves and whatnot) it's much easier due to weaker enemies, stronger effective weaponry and better growth units.

I think what Prims said in his quicktopic basically. Better scumreads and looking townie (as either alignment) comes more with practice and time than anything else, but effort is something you can put in from Day 1 (quite literally in this context). If people find you suspicious, take time to respond to their questions and suspicions. Even if you're not sure about who's scum and who isn't, pursue your reads and try to flesh them out as much as possible. Even the best players generally just get gutreads or uncomfortable feelings at the beginning of the game. What you have to do is follow up on misgivings by looking through the posts of your suspicions and putting words to those feelings. Not only does it help in convincing other people, it also helps you yourself determine whether your feeling was based off something that didn't really matter much at all or something that's more substantial.

Yeah I agree that town had like way too much protection- Bodyguard + pseudo-BPV Martyr + 1-shot Martyr + Drivers (even co-drivers) + Backup is kind of wtf considering how much potential my role had. Sadly it never lived up to that potential but it gave me a good reason to fake PGO, which was glorious.

Well, everyone knows that the best way to balance games is to make town so OP they start lynching themselves because they think they can't actually be that OP!

You didn't think that it was impossible for FFM and Prims to both be town and still didn't think that FFM's roleclaim made him town though. Also I call BS on you not being around for no lynch discussion, near the beginning of D5 I said that no lynching was probably better but voted for you anyways and you could have talked about how no lynching was better in a whole bunch of posts you made after that point but didn't. Most likely because while no lynching could have given me a chance to re-evaluate my read on you, it could have also given me a scum result on you/town result on Prims.

Except Prims went along with the no lynch. I was already leaning heavily towards you as scum; the only thing that could have happened by no lynching not once but twice from his POV as scum was for me to get a town result on you, a scum result on him, or changing my read on you. You keep saying that Prims was "hinting" at not being a fulltime Watcher but he said it explicitly. And at no point did he ever say that FFM was scum for the sole purpose that there was a 1v1 between him and FFM. And regardless, even if you thought Prims was alt-night Watcher, you explicitly said that even then there wasn't a 1v1, and still pushed for FFM's death.

Your responses aren't town responses IMO; instead of giving reasons as to why the main part of my case is wrong, you're focusing on the minor points and just telling me to unvote instead of telling me why I should do so, other than "Prims might hammer" when I've obviously already come to terms with that if I'm voting for you.

Yeah whatever I figured that would fail because if it was real I would back it up with a vote, which I can't do since it's LYLO. I was hoping for a non-Rajam alignment but I got Fly Above/Jack of all Trades/Town, probably the least useful result I could have gotten other than the one I got last time. I guess we also know why the kill failed on N5. Prims said several times that he wasn't a full Watcher on D3. In fact, he stated it explicitly in #669, and then you acknowledged it in #674 as you talked about how a nerfed Watcher vs a buffed Tracker wasn't a 1v1, and then you still called for a vigshot on FFM in #679. Dunno at this point I just feel like Prims is more likely to be town. Cop being a Fullcop in disguise makes more sense as a mafia investigative role than Jack of all Trades with some limited uses of Watcher or Rolecop or whatever. Your tone just feels off to me and your play seems more reminiscent of your scum games than Prims's does. Your reaction on D5 to me and Prims voting you didn't feel legitimate either. Also I've actually been right about like almost all of my scumreads this game (Paperblade, Haze, RD) so I'm just going to stick with my gut at this point instead of waffling. ##Vote: SB

my results were, once again, Reminiscence/Cop/Town. >_> So Rajam is town but we already knew that. Eclipse commented on how I was getting RNG screwed. @SB- Prims said that he wasn't a full Watcher more than once.
