To be perfectly honest I think the problem is more with who the host is than the players being inactive. The only person who's listed a reason of being busy, AFAIK, is Scorri. Other people coughcoughpaperbladecoughCOUGH are just like lolPsych and aren't joining because of that. And it being a no flip game probably doesn't help matters either.

Agility Empoleon isn't really that great. Not really powerful enough to sweep for a long time, and 60 base is low enough that it can outsped even after an Agility.

Can't imagine TR in UU would be much good. A lot of the sweepers can be used, but the best setters can't. Of course, it's not really that good in OU either, but it's fun, and good to catch people off guard with. Plus, few things are as satisfying (in the world of competitive online pokemon battling) as sweeping your opponent's team with something like a Clamperl. The main weakness of TR teams is that they can't play the waiting game. The way most games work is that both opponents switch pokemon a lot, trying to outpredict their opponent to the point where a sweeper can have a turn to set-up, or they can get an unexpected KO. TR teams can't afford to do that, because they're on a very strict schedule.

What exactly do you mean by pretty boy? Someone who's obviously a guy but looks feminine, or a guy who might actually be able in some conditions to pass off as a girl? If it's the former, the answer is Libra, and if it's the latter, the answer is Lucius. Really, as far as I can see, everybody's been saying the exact same thing. The only reason people are giving different answers is because they're not sure what exactly you're asking. There are people answering Libra because he looks more masculine and people answering Lucius because he looks more feminine.

I never really liked Trick Room Ferroseed, to be honest. I used a Trick Room team for a while, and Ferroseed never felt versatile enough for a position on the team. In Trick Room, you have to kill quickly and switch back to someone who can renew it very exactly. Steel and Grass don't make good STABs as far as coverage goes, and its Fire weakness is too debilitating when your team is made of frail hard hitters and Trick Room users who might be bulkier, but whom you can't really afford to have a lot of damage done to. I always preferred using Dusknoir, Slowbro, and Reuniclus as my TR users and then Druddigon, Marowak, and Clamperl for the pure attackers.

It's the same effect though, and a Steel typed sweeper who actually had its own speed and not a priority move would be a hundred times more broken than Scizor, who has to rely on one move for most of its power and can still wreck teams if used correctly. Of course, I've been out of the competitive pokemon battling scene since like early 4th gen, so stuff might be different now, but meh. As for special Steel sweepers, you've got Magnezone, though it's pretty slow.

I'm pretty sure it is possible for town to both lose and not lose following a no lynch. Manix explained why to me yesterday night. Hosts need to talk to each other, but I think it's potential LYLO.

It depends. Generally when you put in Miller/Godfather to balance a Rolecop, they return whatever role you want them to. The Miller in MoMM returned SK, and the Godfather there returned Cop.

Not doubling in two hits is still something like a 10% chance, IIRC, even with full crit on the Silver Sword. It's pretty likely that he will crit, but why take that chance when he does it perfectly fine with the Hero Sword? And as the person above me said, Celice needs to promote by the end of the Chapter 7 arena, meaning he needs to get to around level 18 by the end of Chapter 6. He's not getting there if other people are taking his kills. Also, Gen 2 isn't as linear as Gen 1 in its maps. You need more fighters than just Celice. Maybe I'm used to drafts where you can't depend on getting someone like Aless, but a Hero Sword with crit and a Silver Sword with crit are a better combination than a Silver Sword with more crit, especially as you can still have 50 kills on both the Hero and Silver Swords by the end of gen 2.

Also, IIRC, SS!Celice can't ORKO Brigands and stuff in C6 without a crit/Strength Ring. I mean, if you've been solely using the Silver Sword, its chances of a crit are pretty high, but as far as reliability goes it's not exactly preferred for your main fighter to have a <100% chance of ORKOing generics.

Hitting 4x times with the Hero Sword does more damage than hitting twice with the Silver Sword. Sigurd misses out on ORKOs against Armours if he doesn't crit with the Silver Sword, and he can ORKO them easily with Hero Sword even without a crit. And then once the Hero Sword gets crit, it's simply better.

Sigurd is pretty much exclusively using Hero Sword by the time he gets the Leg Ring.

You should probably highlight the "no reveal" part more since it's a Pretty Big Deal.

Yeah this game was ridiculously town-sided, nearly half of the town could have cleared themselves on D1/N1.
