hey @jespoke been having a lot of fun with this, but ran into a problem in chapter 5. when Cuan gets attacked in the desert, the game just freezes during the animation. I tried using another emulator and ran into the same issue. I'd also had this issue a few times with Beowulf earlier in the chapter, but was able to change my moves so that the action that was causing the problem would no longer happen. But I can't do that with NPC Cuan obviously. Here's a screenshot as well as the full changelog. I think the problem might be that Cuan can't use his weapon, the Gae Bolg? FULL changelog.txt

also yeah arcanite I'll echo that you played a lot better here than in kemono friends. I think your main problem was just a lack of confidence. everybody regardless of experience level can be wrong, so you don't need to include disclaimers in every post. it just makes it difficult for people to trust your reads. and the other thing is just to maybe reread your posts before posting them because near the end of d1 they started becoming pretty disorganized and all over the place. i think that was a large part of people suspecting you on d2. i think it just depends on how you define spamminess; I think people here don't post very much irrelevant content but we do tend to write too many words.

yeah sorry about contributing to the size/quantity of posts d1. i think i've gotten too wordy recently and I also tend to escalate my wordiness when I get into arguments with other people responding to their cases. obviously I also should have paid closer attention to what people were saying on d1. that being said we really need to excise the word "misrep" from our mafia vocabulary. we did it a while ago but it surfaced again this game and it's dumb bc it automatically paints what could just be mistakes as scummy and most of the time there's no attempt to look at whether there was any point to purposely making things up in that situation.

oh I didn't realize that was supposed to refer to Cycle 3. So yeah, that's me. Guessing they rolecopped me bc they thought I might also have a second part to my role because Eury did. refa, I think Omega did actually block the kill and just didn't claim bc he thought Eury was scum anyways.

where did Eury even say which cycle my role was on? thinking Shinori could be Eury's buddy. Shinori's posts about Eury all game have had the tone of "she's suspicious, BUT..." I need to go back through the thread to pull up examples of him defending her play (was planning on reading Shinori again near the end of the phase but it ended early, rip), but here's some role stuff that bothered me: I get the feeling that Omega actually did block the Cycle 1 kill, perhaps during both the day and the night. One of the things that bothered me about the Eury hook, but I didn't vocalize because I was waiting for Eury to come back, was that it didn't really make sense for Eury to take the kill given she was one of the top suspects. Shinori's posts yesterday give me the feeling that he knew the kill hadn't been hooked, bc he kept bringing up the possibility of a Cycle 1 doc even when there wasn't really evidence that one existed. there was also a post on D1 where Shinori guessed that I wasn't an informed, and that I actually had some other role that just implied that daykills existed. Originally I thought that was just a good guess. After Eury claimed though, it gave me the feeling that he was one of the cycle docs, but his posts yesterday implied he wasn't, so I was confused for a while. But this makes sense if he's Eury's buddy and was aware of the existence of a cycle doc. neither of these are definitive by any means, but combined it gives me a bad feeling you guys probably should have called Arcanite's hook to clear someone of being eury's buddy, but oh well.

yeah I'm probably overthinking this Weapons/Bard thing. The flip is bad but a D1 bus isn't really a good strat for a 2 man team.

i took that last quote, combined with the first one, to mean, "there is a separate Mafia faction", not "there is a Mafia faction and that faction may be the Riddlers" i'm really not understanding where the ambiguity is here for you guys. this seems very cut and dry to me. if Riddler could be the Mafia faction, SB wouldn't have said "Bard is not Mafia. He's a Riddler." that was a clear statement, to me, that these were two different factions. @SB. can you confirm this? Are Riddler and Mafia two separate factions?

tbf though my memory of kemono friends is basically just that there was a long RVS where everybody just spammed the fuck out of the game and then they blocked a ton of kills and caught all the scum mainly cuz of role stuff. so my memory of arcanite's content might be wrong

so I definitely agree with the bolded parts as stuff they did but other than the first sentence about them not pushing you I don't think it's necessarily scummy. their play definitely is really self-conscious throughout the game but I feel like it's caused by them being new? like there are also a lot of places where they make reads and then say stuff like "but I'm new so maybe I'm wrong". i think it all stems from a lack of confidence and being unsure of how to play. my read is that it's because it's just their second game as opposed to because it's their first game as scum. i don't really agree that they're pushing less? my memory of their first game was a lot of spam with very little content. here it's still kind of padded but it feels like they're trying to content more at least. i partially agree that the bard case is based on disagreements, because I don't think that's all of it; there's also stuff about him trying to skate by without giving content. and fwiw I think they were the first one to make that point after Bard's first post saying he didn't want to talk about Refa. the bit about arcanite casing omega at an equal level to eury for bad reasons is true but would only really be suspicious if they're buddies with eury and that doesn't seem likely anymore. @shinori- fair on him not doing a lot near the end of D1 but he's been pretty active on D2? also yes he's not your top scumread anymore but it felt based on your content that it was more bc arcanite leapfrogged him than bc he actually seemed townier bc you kept mentioning him as a scumread.
