  1. I'm a pretty casual player in that I don't care at all for turn counts and will turtle to hell, and I still don't use armor knights except for maybe half a dozen times in the series or less.

FE4 where I can use everyone

FE5 where they bring me the niche of using lances indoors

FE10 where I really just like Meg and baby the hell out of her

The rest of the times their low movement dissuade me from bringing them. I also use too many magic units and healers, so the durability aspect they might provide me is usually fixed by having 4-5 healers in my party. So as long as I don't lose someone in one round, I can effectively tank forever. Awakening helped nerf this strategy by preventing Sorcerers from healing but it has other issues.

I can also just sit at max range and when someone comes to attack I blast them from range, so I don't really need a tank. If they had some sort of skill like Provoke or a reverse Stillness in 10 where they have to be attacked before any other unit in range, I'd have more reason to use Knights.

  2. I'm suprised by how practical the dexnav is. I went into the game without looking into the changes much so I wasn't aware how good it was.

I managed to get a 3 star Nummel from it, who was around the same level as the rest of my team and who had heatwave as a special attack. I did't even need to go through that many pokemon. 15 at most I think.

Yeah i'm doing a new Y run and I'm actually surprised how much I miss it and the map app on my bottom screen.

  3. Ugh, but it's still confusing to navigate. I don't really like it for that reason and that's why I usually stick to Bulbapedia.

It also doesn't give me enough information. I remember Wattson requesting the player to shut off the generator there, but that's it. I just go to his gym and talk to him? Or is there something else I have to do?

EDIT: Oh, Wattson isn't even in the gym, he's standing in front of the Prism Tower statue. Can't believe I didn't notice him there until now. ._.

I don't understand what about it is confusing. The games and other info like Pokemon or Anime or Manga or Encyclopedia data is on the left, and then once you've clicked a game, info you could want is on the right

Literally the only thing I like Bulbapedia for better is random stuff like info on Trainer Classes or breeding or trivia. I prefer it's Pokemon data and planning things like stats or move pools though.

  4. Found my first Mega stone, the Alazakite. Shame that I don't intend to use Alakazam.

Stones I'm interested in getting are the Gyaradosite and Aggronite. And of course the Sceptilite, but I think that's given to me at some point anyway.

Once I get my bike I'll have to backtrack to catch an Aron.

Stones are actually quite easy to find. I don't think there are too many that are out of the way, except for some places like Meteor Falls, Sea Mauville, and the Safari Zone, and almost all of them can be gotten pre-E4

  5. Outside of giving enemies competent hit rates and not giving the player too many ways to stack Avoid (both are givens), the best way to balance out the 2 RN system would be to make some bonuses (like terrain) percentage-based rather than static values. i.e. Forests now cut hit rates to 80% of their original value instead of granting 20 Avoid, so hit chances below 40 don't drop off the face of the earth.

I like this idea, though I can't remember how Advance Wars does their terrain and if it's similar to this or not

  6. I think Rayquaza is meant as a quasi-coded catch. Kinda like Xerneas and Yveltal in Pokemon X and Y and Reshiram and Zekrom in Black and White

Catching Deoxys is insanely hard without a Master Ball

It took me like 10 resets to finally catch the thing

    Paralyzed and at 1 Health

I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case, it's what happened to me too. Took 1 ultra ball for Rayquaza and about 20 before I said fuck it about Deoxys and used the Master Ball

  7. I just explored Sea Mauville.

And finding a room full of nuggets and big nuggets is just wow. That's a lot of money. o.o Of course, the Ice Beam TM and Beedrillite are nice finds too!

But there's a scientist guy at the entrance that says he's looking for a scanner of some kind that might be in the lowest level room. But I went down there and didn't find anything. Is this just some random extra bit that isn't supposed to mean anything? Or am I missing something? Or is it post-game only stuff?

I'm pretty sure the scanner only appears after you get the national dex upgrade. it's in the flooded basement at the deepest point, and I found it near the right side of the stairs

also lilycove tms are expensive so i say use the cash for that

  8. Oh, okay. Thanks guys. I'm just used to using Bulbapedia as my info source and I didn't want to have to repeatedly come here to ask for help. xP I could've gone to Bulbagarden, but I figured that if Bulbapedia doesn't know the answer, Bulbagarden might not either since they run it.

Bulbapedia usually takes a month or two after games come out to be fully up to date, since they have to go through and approve changes due to being a public wiki. Serebii is usually fully complete within a week or two.

  9. why do you keep capitalizing toNight what

on one hand, i just read mancer's iso and it makes me dislike his actions pretty heavily, considering he's had a lot of pressure on him and he still hasn't responded for over 24 hours, but on the other hand this makes me feel like he's trying to get lynched

i would vote him if we need to though

    ##unvote

oh my god stop replying i keep typing a sentence and seeing like 3 replies

    J seems town to me
