I’m not counting smash since it just uses male since they typically build it before the game is even out.
by default I just mean, which will a hypothetical warriors 2 use, or other spin offs (still waiting for a fighting game). As well as who gets the love in heroes, or etc.
I think most can agree awakening defaulted to Male and Fates did to female
for 3H I think they’ll default female, that way Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, and Byleth are an even gendered ratio when showing the game; but maybe Edelgard being the only girl to make her stand out is something they want anyway, and maybe they do prefer male
granted Warriors is what really pushed Corrin into being female and KT makes both warriors and 3H. So I don’t know. I do think heroes is going to use female for their legendary when the get there and that may be what really decides it though.

I headcanon that all non romantic endings happen even if I didn’t see them, but only one romantic one does of course.
Dedue is Dimitri’s royal retainer, who is also working with Mercedes at an orphanage
Felix is his shield
but Felix is also a noble, and he and Sylvain are the best of friends in their territories.
Felix And Anette teach at the academy for sword-classes and magic classes for 2 months out of the year until Felix gives the title to his son, and becomes a full time Blue Lions teacherSylvain is with Ingrid who is a knight for Dimitri, which leads to a lot of friendly reunions.
ingrid and ashe were Dimitri’s first official knights, trained by Catherine.
Dimtri is romantically involved with Marianne, and Hapi’s ending where they hunt and kill TWSITD is a group event (All 8 BL, Hapi, And Byleth snd Shamir go!)
Hapi ends up with Ashe and has her teatime with Dimitri as Ashe lives near him.
Byleth reforms the church greatly, ensuring they aren’t based around secrets and fear. Byleth married Shamir (both grew up as mercenaries and are the strong silent type. I can’t help but love it even more than I love FemByleth)
actually I thought kind of a lot about the future of this version of Fodland hehe -
Tellius and awakening have had the longest without
but we could really use genealogy. Only lords to have literally 0 alts are Byleth, Dimitri, Claude (all from the newest game) (and I guess Itsuki)
and then Sigurd and Seliph.

Heroes implied Olivia!Lucina tbh, making Olivia the head of the banner and picture of the awkaening chapter when legendary Lucina debuted, and giving her future witness in the same time.
heroes seems to favor Olivia over Sumia for that

SeveraxRobin: by far her best romance support in the entire game because it’s like the only one that actually delves into her inferiority complex and explains in detail why she acts the way she does. It’s good.
That’s fair! Severe interpreting it that way kinda shows Cordelia still had some feelings but not the same move as before. Now she genuinely moved on for her family. That’s beautiful thanks for reminding me!
robin has some good ships. I can’t pick a favorite but I default to Lucina.

you can save 140 orbs and pick a free unit. So if you do get Marth and Chrom in, then you can get the other in (140 isn’t hard to earn if you skip a couple banners)
nost people don’t think Chrom can get in; you’ll need to prove them wrong so good luck!
I have extra votes now until they release a new game and I’m still picking how to use them -
3 houses is one of my favorites and I don’t want anything like it ever again.
things I want removed
-Avatar main character. This is the worst part about fates and three houses.
it is fine to go to awakening style where the avatar is never the main character, but even then being that involved was too much. Why do we need it? Gaiden and Telluis games were great.
-Monastery. It was a lot of fun the first playthrough. But now it sucks having to run around do fetch quests or navigate through it. However, I’d rather this than Gaidan’s dungeons. Maybe I’m stuck in the past but I much prefer RD base system
-Teaching/war planning. It was fun, but I am done with it for 2 reasons.
1. it’s really easy to make everyone OP2. even though I love 3H, I still believe making everyone able to be any class takes away a bit of unique personality from the classes themselves. I’m not saying every axe wielder being the “ax bro” we used to get is the right answer, but literally everyone being able to be an axe wielder isn’t either imo.
I would like them to continue making units more specialized as they go however. Maybe mages can use all elements but inky E/D tank. Then healers, dark mages, anima mages. Etc all split up into 3 tiered classes
and I’d like the next game to change the recruitment method. I don’t like thst all playable characters are around at the beginning. I like building the army as I go. Last map units kinda suck, and only serve to beef up the army if I screwed up and killed too many people; but if there is a NG+ that has a tower battle like SS did, then that kinda corrects that. Or other sidequests like how Priam and Walhart could only join awakening before the last map, but could be used for dlc maps and have special dialogues (but maybe not make them dlc lol)
I love how supports are more well written. Not everyone can support/marry everyone, so sorry shippers; but the romantic supports mean a lot more imo this time around.

I honestly want Marth, Chrom, and Erikia to win just because their fan bases have been going through hell every single CYL lol. I already got my favorite men (Ike, Alm, and now Dimitri) and women (Micaiah, Celica) I mean except the really weird ones like Edward, Olivia, and Lethe.

Hmm. Three houses fans may divide their opinions a lot. I assumed most would go for Byleth now that the lords are gone, but it is true that even those who just want that, could still cross to female Byleth when I think about it. So there is a lot less I can predict than I initially thought.
Thanks for giving me so much to think about, everyone! While I believe most roads lead to no Chrom, I can’t 100% write him off like I initially thought.

hehe, I like to pair up Inigo and Azura in fates and I just headcanon that that Inigo is Chrom’s son, so I can see Chrom and Azuras family merging. But idk I still really like Inigo and Severa so that’s a hard choice.
as for Cordelia...I get what you mean, but her learning to open her heart and love 2 people works for me because

So for that reason it doesn’t bother me.
you’re right about Stahl and sully. Even when he wins, he is taking care of her.
Nowi and Henry too. Henry is so fun and playful, hmm maybe I can switch Gaius to Miriel and see how I like that

For all you know, 40,000 of those votes could go to Chrom in CYL 5. Votes don't shuffle around as cleanly as you're thinking here.
I disagree about your point on Sigurd and Seliph.
Without any unity, Seliph got 5th and by Only 2 votes. Chrom is getting older without being legacy, and Seliph is a legacy character who never gets stale (to his fans) and new fans drawn to 3H wil read that it was inspired by FE4 (not awakening) boosting Sigurd and Seliph a chances more.
im not saying they’ll unite this year. This year, they’re each others biggest threats and the main reason I think Byleth could sneak in over them. (because again, Claude and Dimitri are gone for 3H bias)
we also don’t yet know what will happen with 3H votes because as if now we’re getting student costumes. People want war arc. So next CYL may still be 3H dominante, pushing another year back on Chrom’s shot.
once Seliph or Sigurd get in, people will want father and son United. Like they did when they rallied for Eliwood.
what another variable may be, Camilla being in may lead to other issues with rallying. Will they want Corrin in as Camilla was in first? It Xander as her big brother? I think no but it’s worth thinking about. Either way, the tide isn’t turning in Chrom’s favor and we don’t know the game will last more than a couple more years.
you gave me good stuff to think about, but at the end of the day it’s hard to see Chrom winning in the next 3 years

Can students get in? When voting it says votes for student and war arc are tallied together so I Assumed they’d be removed.
I am very confident that if Chrom gets in, it’ll be before male robin. Male robin has yet to beat Chrom in official popularity polls or CYL, and Chrom is the main character which always gives him status. If female gets in, I think votes will flock to Chrom, then back to Robin, if they flock at all.

Ike and Micaiah is a very unique circumstance because not all Ike fans are Tellius fans. Many come from smash bros, and jumped ship when he left the polls.
Otherwise Soren would have been surefure. He still is growing and could be in eventually but idkCYL5 will be our first one without major 3Houses due to being brand new, and without the Elibe bias the heroes crowd seems to have. It’s hard to predict what it means for our votes and how things are going. Will elibe move to Jugdral? Will we now get Seliph, Sigurd, and do in getting FE4, then 5, year by year until the game ends?

Marth will likely win now by a wide margin, j could see some Dimitri voters going for Chrom as they’re very similar characters but Dimitri had better writing and Chrom is outdated so overall I do think Chrom is hopeless, but I think he may gain some fans overall. If Female robin wins she may give votes to Male robin and then Chrom, but even then idk because a huge part of female robins support is from a YouTuber who doesn’t care about Chrom so if his fans get his character in, they will stop voting-not support Chrom -

In CYL2, Ephraim got 31k votes and Eirika got 27k. In CYL3, Eirika didn't pick up another 31k votes and crush her competition - her score actually dropped to 22k.
We have seen it happen the other way though.
hecotr to Eliwood, Celica to Alm. We very much can assume. Will happen. The one we didn’t see? From male side to female. That’s a hard one to predict because female side is crazy and hard to track.
Now that the games been out, which avatar will be defaulted!

but tbh if legendary dimitri comes I’m sure he will be paired with female Byleth because people really ship her and dimitri. So that will cancel. But your point is concrete and mine is speculation
