  1. I kinda now regret not asking about Barrack expansion sooner... I'm also thankful that I'm pretty much done summoning for a good while. @Humanoid 32 Res immediately and having to hit +4 merge to outdo compared to reaching +10 merge on a 4* is a bit of a gamble I'd take. Not an issue of preference, but I know my luck, I will never see another Est again until I forget I even have Est.
  2. I kiiinda don't agree with this, as, like I said, all but Est are already 5*, plus Est and Sophia both lose out on Resistance (Est, affects quality of Defense Ploy) and Defense (affects Bow tankiness) even with 4* +10. Sophia already has Raudhrraven, and Est Brave Lance+, as well, so even if they do get weapons in the future, which I doubt tbh, I feel like I've already sufficiently built them to be their best.
  3. Some questions, separated by spoilers. Feather usage: Absorb+ usability Orb usage
  4. outspeed Brave Bow -Spd LA!Roy with base speed, Spd +1, and a Hone Speed? ...Kiran, you dumb.
  5. Got some orbs to clear up some pity rates. ~With Geirskogul in hand, Brave Lucina +HP -Def arrives from Hares at the Fare, giving me the final CYL Hero. Not the best nature, sure, but at least it's not -spd or -atk. ~Nordion Princess, Nanna has arrived... with +HP -Spd... well at least I have her at all...? No, no I'd rather try for better. ~Lyn appeared again, +HP -Def... ~Prince of Leonstar acquired, +Def -HP. An acceptable nature, all things considered.
  6. On the fortunate side, I don't necessarily need to stress getting any of the World of Thracia units now that all units are 40% units, so if I just wanna get this done, I can just throw Reinhardt at everything. This'll also give me a chance to grind out SP for normal Olwen, whenever I'm ready to try actually building her. Unfortunately, I spent all my sacred coins on Speed +3 SS, so I won't have Drive Atk 2 SS for a little while. Also, what a coincidence, the current hardest Drive skills to get happen to now be Sacred Seals...
  7. Y'all gonna have to tell me what it's like to be pity broken by Seliph, because even when summoning on a banner session featuring Seliph with 3 red orbs, I still don't have him as a 5*. What I DO have, on the other hand, is a shiny new +Atk -Res Saber, which... I mean, it's probably not the nature he wants compared to +Spd or +Def, but hey for a unit who I wasn't even thinking I'd ever get another of for months, if ever again, after feeding him to my Arden for his Slaying Edge, I will gladly accept this Saber.
  8. @Anacybele the separate colors works for the time being, but I'm also now downloading the icons for each weapon type so I can fix that up later. It was a quick fix that stopped me from having 4 different sheets for each movement type, I'll fix your spreadsheet later.
  9. @Anacybele Well I hope it makes sense why some names are darker/lighter shades of their respective color. Here's the spreadsheet.
  10. @Anacybele If it means anything, I'm actually sorting it all out in a spreadsheet. I literally have never made a spreadsheet before, and this is baffling why I'm going so far, also I will have to make one for my own unit roster once I'm done with yours. I also don't mind having 100+ units at 5* since I usually tend to like the units I give all the power to (except Reinhardt), but I still feel bad that of all the units I own, I only ever use about a fifth of them.
  11. @Anacybele That's a good list of 5* units you have, at least. I have to ask, are these the 5* units that you do use, even if only on occasion, or are these ALL your 5* units? I ask only because I, for instance whenever I am listing my 5* units in the "How many 5* units do you have" thread, only list the units I actively use (they are favorited) as opposed to all of them, as I do have a solid number of 5* units who I don't use for whatever applicable reason. It'd also be convenient if you had them sorted a little better than how you listed it, maybe first by color, then by weapon type, and finally by movement type, but that's just me being nitpicky, I'm sorting it all out for my own uses anyways. I will admit, the problem with having more than, say, 50 5* units is that eventually you have all these units but you wind up only using a small handful of them and neglecting the rest of them eventually. For example I used to use my Priscilla a lot when she was my only viable healer, but eventually I began getting more healers and she is now the least used of them simply because when I do want to use a colorless, or specifically a healer, I simply don't get to use her. Same with regular Nowi, who was my MVP on most teams, but now doesn't get much of a chance to battle anymore with how many other blues she has to compete with.
  12. Infernal does boost his stats up (and he also has Fury 3 but we as players would have given him Fury 3 anyways, in fact mine had Fury 3 before he was even trained one level)), and he will wind up being pretty average himself, but great team support since he will weaken the enemy team greatly for your own allies to go in for the kill. He's actually almost a carbon copy of Arvis (ignoring the 3 extra final BST that went into HP, he loses 1 point in Atk and Spd for one extra point in Def and Res at 5* lv 40) minus Recovery Ring and different tome color, so if you've used him at all then you already used Saias. I personally have had a good bit of fun using Arvis, so Saias is more of Arvis but with a different (and arguably better) default Ploy skill. (also just a warning, usually in GHBs the enemy commander (the unit you will get as a reward) will have their Special charged in advance, which in most cases causes... problems to arise. Helps to check their Special Charge in advance as well as what their Special is.)
  13. Actually he only has 36 spd on Infernal, you may have also been Speed Ployed beforehand since none of Saias's army has any form of speed boosting. Saias has Spd Ploy and Wargod's Tome to inflict anyone in his path Atk/Res -4 and Spd -5. It's be a sucker punch in the vital organs if he also had a Def Ploy 3 sacred seal just to screw with us.
  14. I mean, usually TA3 cancels out most damage if you have enough Defense, but then even still Glacies just plain hurts yeah. No wonder they chose to give it and Ignis higher cooldowns... @Anacybele Charged from the start on Infernal, cooldown is charged to 1 on Lunatic and Hard. It is both dumb and deadly given Glacies combined with a high-res character who can also debuff your own Res (not to mention Chill Res on the Mage Cav). I mean, I was able to clear without even thinking to use Fjorm, but I also have a Bladetome Flier team to force combat in such a way that the enemy is too spread out to take proper advantage of their advantageous starting positioning, so I may not be the best to give encouragement.
  15. Oh yeah, I always forget Triangle Adept trivializes most triangle advantage encounters... But jeez, 2 hp? That's cutting it close.
  16. Aaand 5* Lv 40 on Saias done. To be honest I wouldn't have burned the feathers so fast since, in terms of Blue Mage ploy debuffers anyway, I already have Lute to handle Spd/Res ploys quite nicely (she's even +Res so there really isn't much she can't ploy) and just having plenty of other nice Blue Mages in general, but man I have fun using Arvis, and Saias is literally Arvis with a little higher Resistance and slightly worse offensive ability, I have little reason NOT to go through with it. Are you sure there's no special trigger? Saias does have Glacies, which is adding 32 damage on activation assuming no field/combat buffs, fully charged from the start of the map, and to be honest I don't see anyone besides maybe Fjorm surviving that.
  17. Took about... 4 tries to figure out what to do? Try 1 and 2: Attempted with WE!Tharja, WE!Robin, HNY!Azura, and Lucius. Tharja was supposed to tank the two cavalry, but all attempts failed because they just do too much damage. Try 3: Switched over to my Blade Fliers team (ToD!Nowi, FeMorgan, Catria, and HNY!Azura) and chose to first attack the archer with a boosted Nowi (one hit was all it took) and let the Green Mage Cav suicide on her (left her with 10 hp). The next turn was spent getting Nowi back to the group and setting up to wipe out the rest of them... which failed because the flier Guidanced Saias right into Nowi. Try 4: See above, but Nowi was put in a position where Saias couldn't reach her, or for that matter any of my flier girls. Nowi was able to Bladetome Desperation kill Saias, Morgan handled the Sword Wyvern, and Azura had to tank a hit from the Lance Knight after dancing Nowi away from combat. From there, everyone simply struck the Knight until he was dead. Man, it's such a great thing that mages these days have pretty good Res even after Life and Death 3 and even with a Res bane, otherwise Nowi would have been screwed.
  18. Thracia banner has been nothing but Red pity breakers so far, and all of units I already have. This time it was Sanaki +HP -Spd, and she was immediately merged into my only slightly better +Atk -Def +2 merge Sanaki, now +3. I suppose it's a change of pace from how I usually do on these banners, summoning at least one focus unit early on that I can use in an upcoming tempest trial, but of all the Red units I could get, they're reds that I not only already own, but also have merge levels on them...?
  19. Really, what anomaly is Faye, from the world where SoV wasn't quite so similar to Gaiden? Also if this argu/convo dies, it's because I fell asleep playing Fates.
  20. As for why Wing Spear not being in FE1 and FE3 matters, it's because that means Caeda's weaponry was baded in SD/NMotE rather than FE1 or 3, but is a Sword unit as in FE1 and 3. Had she been fully from FE 1/3, she'd be mostly likely to have a Killing Edge instead of Armor Slayer, as that is most similar to a weapon she had in FE3 Book 2 besides the Iron Lance (she had a Killer Lance). Ergo, she is an existence between the two generations of Altea. @JSND Alter Dragon Boner So then... what does that make this Wrys fellow? I only remember a Vulnerary in FE3...
  21. Charlotte is still a seasonal lock, so maybe at least one of them could make it in...
  22. There is another quirk though, in that every unit who receives a (pre-existing) new personal weapon receives a weapon that, at least within the confines of their own universe, could never have upon being met. ~Raven, assuming he snapped every sword and slept with his axe ala Heavy, still needs to kill Brendan's Morph in the final stages of the game. ~Felicia and Hinoka both can never even find their personal weapons without either grinding Visitor and Battle points in My Castle or abusing event tiles. ~Caeda does start with a Wing Spear in the remakes, but she only has standard weaponry in the original titles. I'll excuse the fact that the Wing Sword was made exclusively for Heroes. ~Forblaze can potentially be missed if the player fails to make the conditions for ch14x, and still after requires some training to wield. @Interdimensional Observer ...should I have mentioned I was kidding? ...yeah I probably should have.
  23. I'm not really sure if weapons introduced to a character long after actually apply, since that begins to leave "lore" and enter "we came up with a cool effect and now need a weapon to put it on" Even before the changes to summoning pity breakers though, Raven still has a Brave Axe+ instead of Basilisko (I think, haven't summoned him at 5* lately), so he is still working for that Basilisko that Brendan is totally gonna have, he's just doing about 3 SP weekend Axe Valor training maps worth of work as opposed to... whatever it is you do to grind for weapon ranks in Blazing Blade. As for Ike... well here's the thing. Brave Ike is based off his appearance in Path of Radiance, which means that he'd have to be based off that version of Ike. But PoR Ike can't use axes at all. He only gains Axe usage as a Vanguard in RD, which means he also doesn't start with axe proficiency. I... don't actually know how to follow up on the fact, that's just kind of an odd technicality I found when checking on Ike.
  24. Mae and Boey aren't renown spellcasters, and the most Mae had going for her besides yet tapped into talent was being able to cast Thunder earlier than Boey. Sonya was the daughter of the Duma Faithfuls head priest (which probably led to inheriting some potent magic), and Delthea is descendant of powerful magic, even being targeted specifically for it. Mae and Boey, who as early game units lack any defining features until later, end up having to work for Aura and Excalibur, the other two have it by default. Also I did not know about Echoes Aura and Echoes Excalibur, but they sound cooler and a little less edgy.
  25. Aura and Excalibur are odd ones, in that they ARE personal weapons in FE1 and Mystery of the Emblem before becoming available to all characters in the remakes to an extent (Excalibur for males, Aura for Females), while still being "exclusive" to Linde and Merric who can wield their respective tome regardless of weapon rank. And Excalibur's history in the series is wild, enough that there may very well be a user from Magvel in Heroes one day. Ragnarok is also kinda weird, because Delthea CAN use it in SoV and Gaiden, but Celica also has Ragnarok Ω, and while I guess if they wanted to be specific they would have made the specification in the tomes name, Ragnarok is apparently a spell "given to the champion Zofia by the goddess Mila and only capable of being used by Zofia's descendant Celica and her pupil's descendant Delthea in the present day. (quote from Fire Emblem Wiki: Ragnarok)", so if I'm understanding this right then there IS story to why the spell is allowed to them.
