See, here's the thing. There's not a "console mode" and a "computer mode" for videogames. I won't claim to understand the specifics, but each console is different from the rest and has their own idiosyncrasies. Xbox, Playstation and Switch is three different versions. In other words, two of those are ports. So they can do ports, they just refuse to do them for PC. You know, the platform that's easiest to develop on, publish games on and maintain. Oh my fucking God it really is. That's brilliant.

That is quite neat, actually. Always fun to see devs who go the extra mile for the content only 1% of players will ever see. They actually put it in the contract that the games cannot come out on PC. Who hurt them? Did they get bullied by a PC master race bro in school or what? They'd have a genuine, if modest, niche here, everyone's always vying for Fire Emblem on PC.

Honestly, I wouldn't even single out modern FE there. The extent of generic citizens in FE as a whole is basically just to say some words to you before giving you an item, or to be a unit on the map you need to protect from the bad guys. Trying to make the game's universe seem like a breathing, living world with people living their lives is a KagaSaga thing. Maybe it's the decor? He should buy some furniture. I hear there's a guy in town who sells some at some killer prices.

Then FE6 created the red soldier boy that would go on to become the series' staple generic. For a while, at least. Awakening onwards they were giving all generic classes their own portraits, so having a generic soldier for cutscenes stopped being necessary. Yeah, it's a pretty interesting situation they came up with here. Chances are even if Chagall waited out the year, Grannvale would've just gone "lol no" at Sigurd's request to let him get his kingdom back, and then basically the same thing would happen in the end. No it doesn't, since the narration says your band's "revilled." And the narrator wouldn't lie, would they? Honestly, thinking about it, the situation with the pirates is just weird. One moment they're revilled bastards. The next Briggid is actually trying to make them into a band of Robin Hoods. No, I don't think much of anyone has much sympathy for Yuzu specifically. Them being greedy assholes is old news, and Ryujinx was more and more often considered the better emulator, with Yuzu essentially being the hacky option for people with worse computers. Again, the worry is that Nintendo will use this as precedent to hop onto real "big corpo vs the little guy" cases. Let's not lose sight of that. It's not looking that likely, but who knows.

lmao It does, what it doesn't have is a fast forward button. But you can totally increase the speed of the game on the settings menu, or in increments with a bind. I know because I accidentally pressed the button at one point and spent an unknown amount of time playing the game at 105% speed until I realized the music sounded a bit weird.

Eyup. Existing versions will be easily available, not to mention it's open source so forks might be made. Also, another emulator Mikage is being made. Though it is not public yet, when it comes out it might just be better than Citra anyway because Citra is a pretty lackluster emulator, all things considered. As for Switch... Well, it sucks for people with lesser computers because Ryujinx is harder to run, but Ryujinx is the better emu anyway and its devs are far less awful. All in all, consequences aren't too bad. It's the precedent that worries some.

By some I mean @Interdimensional Observer This concerns the game's romance options. The only spoiler here is a broad description of who you can date in the game, nothing more. About what most expected. I just hope they don't try going after anyone else now. And that, if they do, they actually take them to court, win and Ninty eats shit. Too optimistic, I know.
