  1. Finally got some time to comment.

Between the Ardent Durandal and Vision of Arcadia, Eliwood: Blazing Knight got Bonus Doubler, Null Panic, and Canto, as status effects, and he can buff himself; he can buff his allies with those effects and bonus buffs; and he got buff neutralization and true damage. As a nuke, he will probably want Surge Sparrow and Flow Guard for better sustainability, and Windsweep and Watersweep as Sacred Seals whenever that happpens. Alternatively he can run triple Bonus Doubler to really beef up his Def too, although that makes he very vulnerable buff neutralization. IGNORE THIS PART.

Yune got super blade tome/super Blizzard that is really hard to disable, potentially 100% damage reduction based on amount of debuffs, and guaranteed follow-up. Chaos Named is basically four different Sabotages with Chill targeting, as well as inflicting Panic on the primary Chill targets. I think she should run Sturdy Impact or Atk/Spd Catch on A. For B, I guess the best options right now would be Seals, Preempts, and Mystic Boost.

Python got true damage and buff reversal.

Hector: Conjurer Curios got armor effectiveness, damage reduction, and healing. He is pretty disappointing, especially as a 5* Special Heroes who is expensive and hard to obtain, as well as made obsolete in Aether Raids and he does not really fit into any other modes.

Corrin: Wailing Soul got penalty neutralization, damage reduction, and true damage in the form of mini Glimmer. There is not a lot of good A options for dual phase, so Solo feels like the best option, and Finish might work too if the player does not mind tiptoeing around positioning requirements. Not a lot of good dual phase B options either besides Dragon Wall, Dragon's Ire, and Dragon's Wrath.

Cynthia got Wings of Mercy and penalty reversal. I wish they kept Firesweep.

Petra got Slaying, beast effectiveness, Null Follow-Up, and Tempo.

The best updates out of this batch are the Legendary and Mythic Heroes. Petra is pretty decent. Corrin: Wailing Soul and Hector: Conjurer Curios are rather meh, and Hector: Conjurer Curios is rather disappointing since he is harder and more expensive to obtain compared to Corrin: Wailing Soul. Cynthia and Python got crap, which is pretty disappointing too.

Well yeah, that's unfortunately true. I'm surprised even the girls didn't get super low Spds to be honest. At least the guys could be used for some meme builds?

You can always give them more Spd for fun or to counter specific match ups. It will be fine in PvE, but it is going to have issues in PvP since modern fast units got lots of access to damage reduction effects to significantly blunt the impact of slow Brave Weapon users.

  3. 1 hour ago, DefyingFates said:

Given how obsessed people are with speed creep, it's kinda funny and a nice change of pace to see a banner dedicated to the exact opposite of that.

Well, at the other end of the spectrum, for players like me, these units are not slow enough. Or to put it another way, these units have extra points in Spd that could have gone elsewhere that is more productive, such as Atk.

Camilla: Midnight Bloom, Cherche: Shaded by Wings, and Laegjarn: Flame and Frost could dump Spd to 13, and reassign those points to Atk (and/or Def for Cherche: Shaded by Wings). Res is not bad either to help them break Dragon Wall.

And for the dudes, it is even worse. Not only do they not stand out without exclusive Weapons, they have even higher Spd than the girls, so they have even more wasted points. While you can turn them into Spd demons, it is not really practical outside of Aether Raids and maybe Arena without the stat boosts. Against natural high Spd units, they will die.

    That’s probably because:

Ganglot’s Prf skill will be providing those guaranteed follow-up attacks, since it looks like her Spd will be pretty middling.

Also, they didn’t alter Arcane Eljudnir at all from its appearance on NPC Rearmed Lif. If they didn’t do that then, I don’t see why they’d do it now.

22 minutes ago, Diovani Bressan said:

I was about to comment what @Tybrosion did.

I honestly expect the summonable version to be the same as we see there.

Aw, I see. That really sucks then, as it would be a problem for slow axe users who will need to use their B or Sacred Seal slot for that effect. I mean, I guess it is still a decent Weapon, but the lack of guaranteed follow-up really pushes it down a tier.

  5. Oooh! Ganglöt's very pretty. I really like the make up, the scythe, and the overall dark aesthetic. The head piece looks a bit weird, but everything else looks badass. If I was a girl and were to dress up as a witch or dark priestess for Halloween, Ganglöt's basic look is what I will be going for. I really like the eyeshadow, mascara, black lipstick, white hair, pale foundation, and that bold line across the face that just screams "I dare you to try to fuck with me, you little piece of shit!". If the make up was on myself, I would probably remove the horizontal line across the face, and add a very thin vertical triangle under each eye, pointing down reaching across my cheeks so it gives the impression that I am crying ink/black blood, and I would also probably use black contacts with white pupils. But yeah, she looks amazing!

I do not think that will be the final version of Arcane Downfall, since it lacks guaranteed follow-up. Other than that, once the guaranteed follow-up is incorporated, I think it is a pretty decent Weapon. Certainly better than the crap Amelia got.

  6. Camilla: Midnight Bloom looks gorgeous! Anyways, her kit is pretty fun too as a Counter-Vantage unit, with her Weapon having Slaying, Meister, and Vantage.

Cherche: Shaded by Wings is alright. Her Weapon got Meister, true damage, and flat damage reduction.

Laegjarn: Flame and Frost is pretty cool. She got Slaying, Meister, and a Blade-tome-like effect to Atk/Def/Res. She also got Galeforce as her Duo Skill, like Lyn: Ninja-Friend Duo.

  7. Oh my Naga! I did not think I would care about raves since it is just music and dancing, but once I actually got there, it is actually pretty darn fun! I think being with the right crowd also helps, because if I went with my group of super close friends, I do not think I would have enjoyed it as much as it just might not be their thing. I went with one super close friend and some of my coworkers, and we totally jammed to the beat last night.

Since one of my close friends is coming with me, I did want to switch from L to Kamina, but by the time I consider switching, it was too late for me since the Kamina costume would not arrive until at least a month or two later.

But yeah, if I am going to cosplay next time, I am almost certain I am going to try Kamina.

    How good is Hatari Nailah?

Got a +attack copy of her off the dual special banner just now, and i'm not normally one to use beast units. But if shes any good, might as well make use of her.

If nothing special, I have use for that sturdy surge fodder

She is basically the beast version of Byleth: Proven Professor or Byleth: Tested Professor, and she can function really well as a wallbreaker or Galeforcer. Because of Tempo on her Weapon, she does not need Flashing Blade to trigger Specials reliably, and can run Atk/Spd Finish for more true damage.

    Wallbreaker:
    +Atk, +Spd Asc
    Royal Hatari Fang
    Reposition
    Moonbow — Luna
    Atk/Spd Finish
    Windsweep — Watersweep — Spurn
    Glare — Fatal Smoke
    Poison Strike — Flashing Blade

    Galeforce:
    +Spd, +Atk Asc
    Royal Hatari Fang
    Reposition
    Galeforce
    Atk/Spd Finish
Frenzy — Wings of Mercy — Spd/Def Bulwark
    Def/Res Smoke — Glare — Fatal Smoke
    Flashing Blade

I managed to win one match by just having Harmonized Edelgard sit in the middle of the map, winning with capture points alone with no rounds of combat fought.

Damn! I wish I was that lucky! I do not think I have ever won from just sitting there and get capture points before. My battles are usually hard fought, and sometimes frustrating because the other side takes forever.

  11. 11 hours ago, Faellin said:

Would a mix phase Shinon work by chance? Something like building around speed smoke 4 and his close counter pref weapon? And if so, what kind of other skills should I aim for?

An alternative build to aim for is turn him into a Sweeper, since having lots of Sweepers is good for dealing with problematic units in Arena Assault. I personally recommend sticking with Whitecap Bow in Hall of Forms since the only way to get it is through Grails and you only have so many copies to give out, but you could also consider just going for Ninja Yumi directly so you do not have to spend Orbs to get it later. Even if his Atk stat gets outdated one day, as long as he wins the Spd check, he will still be able to Sweep slow tanks by dealing a lot of true damage.
    Ninja Yumi
    Reposition
    Ruptured Sky
    Flashing Blade — Atk/Spd Finish
    Windsweep — Watersweep
    Fatal Smoke
    Null Follow-Up
I lean slightly more towards Flashing Blade for cancelling out foe's Guard to trigger Ruptured Sky, but Atk/Spd Finish is fine too since it deals a bit more true damage as well as giving a stat boost to help him Sweep foes with more Spd, but the trade off is that he will not trigger Ruptured Sky as easily. With Flashing Blade, he will deal 36 true damage and trigger Ruptured Sky once against foes with Guard. With Atk/Spd Finish, he will deal 44 true damage, but he will not trigger Ruptured Sky against Guarded foes.

For the actual skill aquisition in Hall of Forms:
    Whitecap Bow — Ninja Yumi
    (Any high SP Assist)
    Ruptured Sky
    Flashing Blade — Atk/Res Finish
    Spd/Def Tempo — Spd Preempt
    Fatal Smoke
I lean towards Flashing Blade since Atk/Spd Finish is not available yet, but Atk/Res Finish will work too. Windsweep and Watersweep are relatively cheap, so I would aim for Spd/Def Tempo or Spd Preempt.

I don't really see a reason to pass up on 4 Atk on the dragon flier with the highest base Atk stat when she already has 64 Res. I'm not convinced that going from 64 Res to 67 Res is worth giving up 4 Atk regardless of the B skill she has.

I like to be sure that whatever skill a unit is using activates reliably. While she will be fine with 64 Res against most opponents, there are also lots of common units in the meta that have super high Res, such as Medeus, Rhea: Immaculate One, and Fae: Childlike Dragon depending on the mode, and Tiki: Fated Divinity is like everywhere. I have already quit when Duma: Strength and Love was released, but I assume he is somewhat popular at least in the near term as a bonus unit.

I got the Henriette manual from the Codes path and I'm wondering who to give Far Save.
I have some good Far Savers already, but I wanted to have one who doesn't have armor weakness, so it has to be between B!Hector or A!Idunn.

Hector is currently +8 and my most used Near Saver while Idunn is +0. Idunn has the benefit of running DC on the seal slot and having the A slot free for something else while Hector is stuck with his prf DC.

So, right now I'm leaning more towards A!Idunn. Am I thinking on the right lines? What else would Idunn want on her A and B slots if running A/R Far Save? 0 Hardy Fighter fodder on my barracks

(I still have hopes of B!Hector showing up as a Forma someday, then I'd build him with Far Save and Hardy Fighter on HoF)

Depends on the mode you are using them in and how patient you are.

If you are using them in Aether Raids offense, on Astra Season, have a bunch of Elimines, and you are willing to wait, I would wait for S/R Far Save for Hector: Brave Warrior and A/S Far Save for Idunn: Divine Demon. If not all of those requirement applies, you can just give them A/R Far Save to them now. While those two armor units are not exactly fast, they can be decently fast in Aether Raids offense with the right set up and avoid a decent amount of doubles naturally, so I think it is worth waiting for those Far Save skills if you are willing to go all out on them.

If you really do not want to wait, then I would go with Hector: Brave Warrior since he is less vulnerable in general and he already has more investment. Idunn: Divine Demon is faster than Hector: Brave Warrior, so I think she is better off waiting for a Far Save skill that increases Spd, even outside the context of Aether Raids offense.

She's getting Dragon Wall regardless because there's no other skill she can get from Rearmed Robin at the same time that I give her Arcane Grima.

Hm... I lean towards +Res in this case, but I guess going with +Atk should be fine too, since while she is likely to fail Dragon Wall from time to time, it does not happen so often that you need +Res. Worst case scenario, you can always Ascend the other Asset later if you really want to. I still have not used any Florets yet before I quit since I have not found it necessary, so I assume you are in the same boat and can just use it on favorites.

Of the existing inheritable non-Arcane Breath weapons (which I am currently trying to get at least one of, but beyond that,) which one is currently considered the "best" for units like Adult Tiki, Halloween Naga, etc. who don't have a Prf weapon or have a weak Prf weapon?
They all have somewhat similar stat-based effects, so it seems like it comes down to what secondary effects and trigger conditions are considered most worth using. I have at least one of each weapon available to me also, and it'd primarily go toward Halloween Naga if I decide not to give her Arcane Grima (when I eventually get it)

I agree with Ice Dragon and would say Lantern Breath is the best one since it has Guard.

The next best one is Serenity Breath since it disables follow-ups, but lots of nukes can bypass that these days with Null Follow-Up, so it is not as strong as it used to be.

Pale Breath neutralizes some of the unit's penalties, and Blackfire Breath neutralizes some of foe's bonus, but I do not think those effects are good enough to be the only effect on the Weapon. I think that is it in terms of defensive effects.

Quick question to see what other people's opinions are while I continue to fail to pull Halloween Female Corrin:

Atk or Res Asset for Halloween Naga with Arcane Grima?

A Res Asset is obviously better for tanking with Dragon Wall, but Halloween Naga has the highest base Atk stat of all dragon fliers and can easily run a more offensive build when equipped with Arcane Grima. Plus, I'm unsure if the extra 3 Res from an Asset will actually matter all that much when she's getting 9 Res from Arcane Grima [Res], 7-9 Res from Atk/Res Catch 4, and 4 Res from Atk/Res Rein 3 when compared to the extra 4 Atk she could get from an Atk Asset.

Since she has a super Asset in Atk, I would go with Atk. Normally I would go with +Res, but since she does not come with Dragon Wall innately and you want to use her more offensively, I think Dragon's Wrath would be better on her B since she will still get some damage reduction without any stat checks while also granting her mini Glimmer on her first attack during every combat. Unless you are Selena or Jagen or something, or maybe facing Kjelle, I think most units should not have an issue winning the Atk>Def or Atk>Res check under any circumstance, so you will always be able to do at least a bit of extra damage, in contrast to plain old Atk or Res comparisons where it is not uncommon to completely fail the check from time to time.

Any suggestions on anything to add/change?

I think the build is fine, but I recommend changing the team composition a bit, specifically the colors of the Save tanks. In my opinion, it is best to have Save tanks of different colors so a single enemy color would not completely shut down your enemy phase.

    4 hours ago, DefyingFates said:

I know she's a counter to damage reduction and Hodr's Zeal gives true damage, but are there any slow tanks that can take her on anyway? A!Idunn for example, or even Kjelle or W!Ephraim for a retro pick? I saw Akariss' video on AR Save Armors and he ranked the latter two highly in some situations (and they're ranked highly on Gamepress too), so it made me curious about them myself (again, in Ephraim's case).

Kjelle can deal with her the best since she is able to debuff her Atk a lot, but she still loses a decent chunk of HP from true damage. Idunn: Divine Demon and Ephraim: Sparkling Gallantly takes heavy damage (losing half of their HP; and very heavy damage if Nanna: Beloved Princess has C Feud, losing about two-thirds of their HP), but they should be able to survive. I am assuming Astra Season for nearly best case scenario for both sides (three Elimines for the extra drive Def and Ashera as the filler on offense; Seiros for the Atk boost and Mirabilis for Dance/Sing on defense).

All three have the following kit:
    +Atk/Def, +10+MaxFlowers, 3 Spd and 1 Res Mythics
    Exclusive Weapon
Escutcheon (Ephraim: Sparkling Gallantly got Pavise)
    (Any Assist)
    Sturdy Stance
    Hardy Fighter
A/D Near Save (Idunn: Divine Demon got D/R Near Save)
    Quick Riposte
    +6/0/6/6 bonus buffs
    3 Holy Ground

    Nanna: Beloved Princess got:
    +Atk, +10+10, 1 Atk and 1 Res Mythics
    Lands Sword
    (Any Assist)
    Ruptured Sky
    Surge Sparrow
    Hoðr's Zeal
    Atk/Spd Menace — C Feud
    Atk/Spd Solo
    +6/6/0/0 bonus buffs

Will do, thanks! Thankfully we still have two days before the season ends so hopefully I'll be able to throw together a tentative AR-D team to see how she performs. To be honest I'm still surprised that XRay dismissed B!Edelgard in favor of her - is Edelgard really not good in AR-D, even post-refine?

2 minutes ago, Ice Dragon said:

There's still an argument to use Edelgard over Lucina if your Edelgard is significantly merged and your Lucina is not, though it sounds like @XRay is making the assumption that the two are equally invested (which is probably not a good assumption since Edelgard has significantly more availability due to being released earlier, being released on the most hyped banner of the year, being rerun more often, and being in the standard summoning pool).

She is good, just not good enough. Between running a fast tank or a slow tank, fast tanks are almost always better.

The only thing that would tip things in favor for a slow tank is if the slow tank is able to address a glaring weakness that the fast tank cannot. For example, Chrom: Fate-Defying Duo exists and is extremely prominent in the current meta, and due to how often he appears, it makes Fjorm: Ice Ascendent pretty unreliable compared to Hector: Brave Warrior. You can technically give her Svalinn Shield, but that will cripple her match ups against everyone else, so I do not think that is a realistic option. Actually, now that I think about it, Robin: Fell Tactician might be a better option than Hector: Brave Warrior in the current meta as a Far Saver since I do not see a lot of Julias and Deidres.

On the Near Save side, Nanna: Beloved Princess might not be common enough to skew the Aether Raids meta to the same degree, but she will only be more common over time, and as newer melee tank busters get released, they will also get better with time. At the moment, while using Edelgard: Adrestian Emperor is fine, she will get absolutely curb stomped in the future, and she does not have any effect that sets her apart from Lucina: Future Fondness; anything Edelgard: Adrestian Emperor can do, Lucina: Future Fondness can also do, and probably do it even better and without the weakness of being slow.

  17. Oh yeah, I tested negative yesterday! I decided to just take the rest of the week off instead of going back to work. I will test myself again later tomorrow or Saturday to pretend that I found out I tested negative then.

I think the symptom that stuck with me the longest was my cough.

  18. 3 hours ago, DefyingFates said:

Thanks again! That's more reason to put A!Fjorm in my defense team then, which leaves me one Far Saver short for one of my AR-O teams (I have one in each right now). I assume Astra is the season to take one out of then? I don't have anyone who can fill the void, but I can try Henriette since she's already built for it. Does that sound good? The alternative is V!Robin, who'd probably take the Dheginsea manual for herself (either that or A/D Unity + Crafty Fighter).

I would put slower Save tanks on defense in Astra/Anima since it is more difficult to win the Spd check in that season for defense. You should still use Save tanks, but they do not have to be fast, since there is still a decent chance that players will still out Spd your fast Save tanks anyways.

    3 hours ago, DefyingFates said:

Edit: I checked the limited manuals and saw that I still have a V!Henriette (and H!M!Grima) available as well as Crafty Fighter from the Normal 2 codes, so I'm not as starved for Far Save fodder as I thought. I assume A/R Near Save is just a budget option for people who don't have A/D Near Save to spare though? Since dragons aren't often initiators and all.

In PvP, Res is not as important for Near Save since dragons are quite a bit less common.

In PvE though, dragons are generally quite a bit more numerous, so I would give A/R Near Save to a unit that you still want to use, but just not in PvP. For example, I use Arden for Limited Hero Battles but I do not use him in PvP, so I give him A/R Near Save so he does not immediately explode to dragons.

A/S Near Save and A/S Far Save would be the most in demand Save skill since fast Save tanks want them, followed by A/D Near Save and D/R Far Save for slow Save tanks.

  19. 2 hours ago, DefyingFates said:

Gotcha, thanks again! So I think that leaves me with B!Hector and V!Lucina for one season and R!Grima and tentatively A!Fjorm (maybe I can use V!Robin for Far Save instead?) for the other. Does that sound like a good setup to you?

    Sounds good.

Another thing is that it is generally easier for offense to win the Spd check against defense, due to offensive Spd Mythics being generally better than their defensive counterparts, so they are used more often.

I am not sure how common it is, but players like me on Astra Season can run multiple Elimines with our Save tanks, so it is really hard to win the Spd check with triple Spd Mythics giving Spd+12; you can try to mitigate some of that Spd difference by using Líf to boost your own Spd, but then that means you are not running Mirabilis, who will generally be far more helpful.

On Light Season, players cannot abuse Spd Mythics to the same degree since there is no equivalent to Elimine (I mean, there is Ullr, but she is nowhere near busted like Elimine), so they do not work with Save tanks as well. Players still have access to Flayn and both Nifls, so you cannot let your guard down too much, but generally speaking, it is easier to contest Spd in Light season in my opinion. Because of this, I would put your fast Save tanks in Light Season since they stand a better chance of winning that Spd check.

  20. 1 hour ago, DefyingFates said:

Is Nanna still the biggest threat, or is B!Seliph more important to counter now? And if so, does he put slower Near Saves back on the table, like A!Idunn or W!Ephraim?

    Thanks again!

Nanna: Beloved Princess is the biggest threat, but she is not very common. I have seen her once or twice when she was a bonus unit, and she can fuck you up hard if you do not immediately counter kill her, as you do NOT want her to be alive. Thankfully, she is not too hard too kill if you can double her. Alm: Saint King is the more common threat during Earth Season, but that is for the Far Saver to worry about.

Seliph: Enduring Legacy is not much of a threat. While he has the potential to do a lot of damage, he cannot pierce damage reduction. He is fine as a wall breaker under player control, but he is much less effective under AI control. Does not really matter if the AI can have him dealing 40% of Def worth of true damage, if all that is just going to get reduced to single digits through multiple layers of damage reduction.

  21. 31 minutes ago, DefyingFates said:

So I'm likely going to use Robin on my Dark team as mentioned before, are there any clear options for a Far Saver to go with her out of the options I listed earlier? (Or should I make her a Far Saver and use one of them for Near Saving?)

If you have Fjorm: Ice Ascendant, she is honestly more than fine as a Far Saver on defense. She completely shuts down Sweeps, so there is no way for the offense team to do so safely. While she is vulnerable to Chrom: Fate-Defying Duo, the offense team still have to extract him out, so as long as the rest of the defense team can swoop in and take somebody out, that vulnerability is not a huge deal.

    • I'm assuming Hardy Fighter + Aegis is B!Hector's best kit? If so, how does he recharge Aegis on his own after the first proc, or does he only work when paired with someone who can recharge his specials remotely (like B!Lucina)? I was thinking of building him for AR-D Anima Season, if that counts for anything.*

I used Warding Breath Sacred Seal, and he was supported by triple Elimines. He should still work on defense.

    23 minutes ago, DefyingFates said:
    • Also, I know I asked about H!Myrrh before, but that was with regards to Near Saving. Is she better for Near or Far Saving? I thought I could put her on my Dark team (maybe with Rearmed Grima or Fallen Rhea to pair with her).

In general, Save tanks are always better at their natural range, as they do not have to waste a slot for Distant Counter on A and can actually run a defensive effect instead.

Fjorm is the only exception I can think of since she got a Distant Counter Weapon (that is not complete shit) and Special specifically designed around Far Save, but everyone else is better at sticking with their natural range. Black Knight, Zelgius, and Robin: Fell Reincarnation got shitty Distant Counter Weapons, so while you can use those units for Far Save, I would not recommend it; they are better off running Arcane Weapons and sticking with Near Save.

Hector: Brave Warrior is better at Near Save since he can run Stance on A for Guard. However, even though he is better at Near Save, there are plenty of good Near Save units already, so he can contribute more as Far Save since there is less competition in that space. The only native Rng 2 unit that is good at Far Save that I can recall is Robin: Tactful Deliverer, and that is about it (Flora: Signature Dish is not horrible, but not great either; Marth Royal Altean Duo could be decent in the future if he gets a good Refine).

For Myrrh: Spooky Monster specifically, I would not use her for Far Save if you have Hector: Brave Warrior. Like Flora Signature Dish, she is not bad per se, but she does not have the tools necessary to deal with the modern PvP meta. If you are just using her for PvE content, she will be more than fine. In PvP on the other hand, she will get wrecked by the likes of Chrom: Fate-Defying Duo and Alm: Saint King.

    1 hour ago, DefyingFates said:

    * Who would be a good counterpart to go with him as a Near Saver? I have A!Idunn on my AR-O at the moment, and an unused V!Lucina, B!Edelgard and W!Sothis for "recent options". I have an unbuilt W!Ephraim, BK and Arden too, the latter of whom I know became fairly popular after getting a Prf which I completely forgot about until the last time I was asking Savior questions.

Like super tanks, the best Save tanks are fast. If it were not for Chrom: Fate Defying Duo, we would not be talking about Hector: Brave Warrior and Fjorm: Ice Ascendant would be the best Far Save tank. But because he exists, you need a unit that has as little weakness as possible, so that will be Hector: Warrior, and he is even blue to help further mitigate that damage. For Near Save, the only unit who is really going to rip you a new anus is Nanna: Beloved Princess, but she is not too common and she is manageable if your Near Save tank is fast. If your Near Save tank can handle Nanna: Beloved Princess, your Near Save can handle anyone else.

Out of all your options, Lucina: Future Fondness would be best as Near Save since she got the Spd.

You know what that reminds me of? Watching ads for Orbs.

Oh no, the horror of boring irrelevant shitty ads!

I reckon we'll see Batallions eventually.  Maybe as a way to equip Duo/Harmonic skills to any unit. It seems to be the way they're leading things with the way these Arcane Weapons work, introducing inheritance as a relevant feature back into the game. So now in addition to Ascended and Rearmed units we'll also have idk, General or Commander units that come with a Batallion equipped that you can then freely reassign to any unit giving your 10 star black Knight armour protection or a second attack after killing or a special cool down. Ripping open Duo Skills to be assignable to different units would certainly make for a lot more interesting builds.

Imagine giving Edelgard: Flame Emperor triple Galeforce with four total actions! Raging Storm! Galeforce! Lyn: Ninja Friend Duo's Duo skill!

Prepare your butthurt for the 6* units! Only 5* +10 units can be promoted to 6*, and it gives them +2 to all stats (over the 5* +10 stats) and some other bullshit I can't even fathom right now.

For each 6*+10+MaxFlowers+Floret+AllySupport+SummonerSupport you have, it permenantly increases you 5* Focus rate by 0.01% on all Foci.

    - Multi-classed Heroes! Switch between weapon types at the touch of a button!

That actually sounds cool. They could incorporate switching movement types too!

Also you've heard of pair-up, so here comes the natural follow-up to it, split-up! With this you can split your Duo and Harmonic Heroes into two separate units to establish numerical superiority over the battlefield!

Palla: Sisterly Trio will split it up into three units, right?

Every hit is Aether, Galeforce, or Lethality sounds fun!

    teleporting units.

It would be nice to have witches from Fates warping around the battlefield.

Warp: Unit can move to any space on the map.

Imagine playing Summoner Duels with that.

Pair-Up feels like a half-assed mechanic that could use a rework. At the minimum, make it usable in more game modes and maybe even introduce non-Legendary units with the ability. (I wouldn't be surprised if they make Pair-Up available to Ascended or Rearmed Heroes in the future.) I literally don't remember that this mechanic even exists outside of Allegiance Battles and Mjolnir Strikes.

I think they should just make it available in any mode to spice things up.

It would be nice if the English localization team would learn how to use paragraph breaks in skill descriptions. The Japanese have already figured that one out. I think this is the most underrated QoL improvement that could be implemented into the game.

Is the localization team still Treehouse right now for Heroes? I still hold a grudge against Treehouse after all these years. We know Treehouse sucks, so they are never going to learn.

As best as I can tell, the current system ties range to weapon type and not to individual weapons. All skills that activate with a unit's range as a condition work even if a unit has no weapon equipped. I don't think it's very likely that we'll ever see weapons with 3 range.

One can always hope. I never thought they would implement something as crazy as Save skills. My mind metaphorically exploded the first time I saw Gustav: Majestic Love, Henriette: Overflowing Love, and double Flayns in a team on Reddit. I do not think Rng 3 Weapons is that mind blowing, but I think it will still be fun.

They can also already simulate siege weapons with Sweep + Canto (Recall).

I know we have that at home, but I want a real siege tome with long range!

9 hours ago, Ice Dragon said:

We already have Sweep skills. While "Null Counter" is different, I don't think it's different enough to warrant inclusion as a new skill, as the only thing it does that Sweep doesn't do is get around Null C-Disrupt.

It is always a good idea to plan ahead incase they decide to do something dumb and make a problematic unit that comes with Null C-Disrupt.

And the usual disclaimer that if the unit can continue to be merged after promotion to 6-star rarity, this is an excellent way to piss off the part of the player base that brings in the most revenue. The fact that players can trust that the developers won't make us pull for more than 11 copies of a unit in order to max it out is the reason why we can justify using additional copies as skill fodder.

They could make summoning cheaper to compensate.

The next big thing would be making a banner without alts.

Them fighting words! Being spicy today, are we?

I want more Edelgard and Plumeria alts! More Camilla and Lyn alts are okay too.

And the next Thracia banner with Safy with prf Hammerne that removes all debuffs from an ally when healing them and also gives them -1 special cooldown count (or just completely readies their special because the special spam is already out of control from what I've seen).

Special trigger frequency actually stayed about the same. You always want to trigger a Special at least once per round of combat, and that has been the case since the game was released. Most units today can still only reliably trigger it once anyways.

Gauntlets--The Colorless version of Swords, Lances, and Axes.

Possible Units: Caspar, Raphael, Ascended Balthus (Three Hopes design), Framme; and alts for Byleth(s), Dedue, Felix, Hapi, Alois, Catherine. and Jeritza.

Sounds fun. I do not mind multicolored gauntlets either, like bows, daggers, dragons, and beasts.
