  1. Everyone, I've just started to write the introductory cutscene of Chapter 16. Because of how sluggish/cumbersome Miiverse screenshot is, the potential difficulty going up for the last 10-11 chapters, and also my policy of resetting upon accidental death (and therefore having to start over my chapter run), I am going to further divide my posts with (Chapter x Intro cutscenes) -> (Chapter x gameplay/Outro cutscenes). Also, in anticipation of possible upgrading my LP run into a WWII x FE Fates Conquest fanfiction (after completing my LP run), the whole thing will be more story-driven, and more text heavy. So, I may need all hands on deck for ideas on the remaining chapter's stories. If you have friends, it would be much appreciated if you can share my thread with them. Link: serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=64837 (add http:// at start) Finally, for the intro of Chapter 16, I am thinking of a military ceremony to send off my crew over to the Pacific. This is also where the US Government starts to cast suspicion on Igor, and suspect a sabotage on the war effort. Furthermore, should I add some words of encouragement from my individual troops? (Like what Chrom had in the final scenes at Regna Ferox in FE Awakening Chapter 10?) Or maybe some cutscenes showing stuff similar to supports - except being less slice-of-life-ish stuff, and more war-related? Also Postscript: I would like to know how Mokushu would work as Manchurians/Communist Chinese for Chapter 17. Is there a particular battle you are thinking of? Sorry, my knowledge is very hazy here.
  2. Well, it turned out that neither Zelda, nor Pokémon have any Wii U exclusive titles! Looks like Wii U is going to replace GC and GBA as my least favourite console in terms of library.
  3. I've got a +2 forged Frying Pan for my current LP's Beruka, and it works well when I need that extra accuracy to secure her kill.
  4. Sheesh, that's a near low; I thought I hated the GC/GBA-era the most for killing off my interest in Mario, and having my least favourite Pokémon games, but this is going to replace as my lowest opinion. At least GBA introduced me to Fire Emblem via Binding Blade, Golden Sun, and by virtue of remakes, Mother 1+2. And no, I also refuse to touch any Smash game from Melee onwards. (Seeing Peach there (and making the kidnapping utterly stupid in the process) was my personal "Strike 1" moment for the Mario series, actually. Finding out about the generally lame story of Mario Sunshine was "Strike 2". UGH!)
  5. I guess I didn't know about that before. If that's the case, well, that really makes Wii U unimpressive in terms of its library. Only 2 entries from LoZ, and 1 (or 2? Have we had anything besides Pokken?) from Pokémon...
  6. @blah the Prussian: Looks like I'll have to write that in for my Chapter 16. @Alastor15243: PS I might make Chapter 16 as mostly the military review above the ship. And a bit more dialogue for everyone - particularly those that I haven't written extensively yet and are part of my main rotation.
  7. Man that 26 Magic that Elise has... It looks like she only needs Fire/Thunder tome for a good while. I've got Elise at Lv 3 Strategist, and her Mag is at 27. I gather that you are not going to do Paralogue 1? Speaking of which, Mozu was the only unit I reclassed, actually. Everyone else remains at their original classes+promotion.
  8. I guess it would be great being able to play what was traditional consoles on the go. Though I wonder what was with the Breath of the Wild in the beginning section of the trailer when it's not backwards compatible anymore. But ultimately, it will depend on the games that will come out. I'll probably only buy it when there is a decent collection from FE, Zelda, and Pokémon, and other stuff that is not from the Mario franchise. I'm glad that at least Wii (U) is one-generation backwards compatible.
  9. @Alastor15243: Now that you pointed out, it does feel awkward having HMLP!Beruka use the callwords "honey" and "dear". And yes, as you pointed out, I haven't mentioned anything between Beruka and my Corrin in the previous chapters, so that will have to be on my eventual to-do list. (Mind you, this is my very first time, ever, writing anything resembling fanfiction!) While I am going to leave the finished Chapters/Maps/Stages for the moment, I'll definitely come back to write a better-integrated story out of this LP. Thank you, my faithful reader!
  10. Chapter 15: The Bermuda Triangle (The Black Pillar) Lost at Sea Battle of the Bermuda Triangle? Was it a dream? Stats upon completion PS Just out of curiosity, I would like to ask everyone how my story-writing skills are from this LP.
  11. Banned for NOT appreciating memes, ha!
  12. ...On a different note, I just realised, the very first time I played Binding Blade, and also my very first FE entry, I actually thought generally below-average stat Lords like Roy are the norm. Obviously, that is not the case seeing Sigurd and Ike and all that. However, to this day, I actually prefer Lords that aren't all that OP or even above-average, to be honest. I actually like Roy, for two reasons. 1. Roy and co was one of the more obvious examples where I had to actually use some strategy and utilise teamwork between units. I would be surprised if they weren't the ones that won various historical battles. (Let's face it, the Ardennes was lost on the French in 1940 despite her Char B1s being more powerful than the German Panzers - and that was because, long story short, the French/British failed to strategically plan for what they thought were the unlikely, and also not using their tanks in an effective manner.) 2. The game really felt like all of the characters I used for my run actually matter. This is partially because, in general, they are the ones fighting for the Lord, and also because of more characters in FE having backstories than of non-main characters from other Nintendo series I've played. I feel that unlike Mario, Zelda, or even Pokémon/Star Fox, FE actually benefits when, for a lack of better words, everyone does their part. Which means, in this case, Roy planned the battle and aroused his troops' morale. In the case of Roy in gameplay terms, in addition to adjusting his level caps to be 30/10 (or even completely independent to promotion), he could have an area-of-effect where nearby units attain bonuses in hits, avoid, criticals, and critical dodge. Such effect (and maybe even area of radius) would grow as the gameplay progresses. Of course other leading-role units like Marcus (who I think was the leader for Pharaean cavaliers), Douglas (the top general for Etruria), or Elphin/Echidna (who I think were the leaders for the Western Resistance) could give smaller bonuses on a more limited groups of units.
  13. From what I've seen over at Bulbagarden last year or even in general, it might as well felt like people were prophesising the end of the world. Thanks for reminding me that. There, another opinion that I agree with, that is unpopular - at least in Bulbagarden.
