  1. The game was definitely a combination of the Texans being bad and the Patriots' gameplan working to perfection on offense and defense. I'm most encouraged by the O-line play. The left side of the line looks top notch and Marcus Cannon shut down JJ Watt. The defense took away Nuk (aside from the ridiculous catches he made) and Osweiler was content to check down all night. Osweiler really isn't that great of a QB, and I think the defense had him rattled at times. I expect to see that happen often against inexperienced QBs this season. The Patriots defense is capable of getting pressure without blitzing because the front 7 has so many players that can rush the passer or drop into coverage. Last night's performance was also without Donta Hightower, arguably the most talented pass rusher on the team. The entire AFC should be afraid at this point. Once Gronkowski is close to 100% and Dion Lewis returns, the offense could become unstoppable
  2. Astute observation, Ana. The move makes absolutely zero sense. Rex's defensive schemes seem kinda shitty at this point. When Jim Schwartz was the defensive coordinator there the Bills had one of the toughest defenses in the league. Since Rex has been given full control of the defense, they've been an incredibly burnable unit. Both sides need a fresh start imo. It's just too bad Rex can't fire himself
  3. Not sure how the Pats pulled that one out, but hey, works for me. Jimmy G looks pretty damn legit
  4. Patriots offensive line tonight: 2 back up tackles, 2 rookie guards, and an undrafted center in his second year. This could get ugly
  5. Remember when I said at the end of last season that he'd be a nice fit for the Ravens? Clearly the team saw my comment and proceeded to sign himCoincidentally, he's on my fantasy team
  6. Hard to call a team lucky when they have the best DBs in the league. Carolina should've pulled that one out but Denver's defense looked tough. Granted, they were taking shots at Cam's head all game long. And then the only call they make was wiped out by intentional grounding? That was fucking ridiculous.
  7. Carolina has managed the clock like absolute dogshit. I hope so badly that they win
  8. Carolina's corners look really bad in the run game and in the open field. Semin's been a lot better than anticipated
  9. Chapter 13 (9/26) Eliwood takes the long way around and almost uses all of the rapier. Earlygame is fun with one unit :) Chapter 13x (7/33) Puzon thought he was cool, but nah, we know that ain't true. Eliwood gets more decent level ups. Meatshielding is great. Chapter 14 (10+4/47) Had to use Lowen or else this chapter would've taken 12,000 turns. Lowen runs around sucking a lot and taking out loose enemies. Eliwood continues killing things and has 2 rapier uses left. Better save those! Chapter 15 (8/55) Eliwood runs over the mountains, through the woods, and to our final generic!boss knight. An important strength proc allows him to kill the boss in a few rounds of combat with the rapier and iron sword. Wil gets fed kills and gets an okay level up.
  10. It was a really desperate move by the Vikings. They gave up at least a 1st rounder and a 4th rounder. Teddy's leg is still attached but he isn't a lock to be healthy by the start of next year. Dislocated knees entail multiple tears, and he completely severed his ACL (though they never mentioned which other ligament was torn.) It sorta works out because Bradford is signed for 2 years, and they really just need a QB who can hand off to AP and not turn the ball over. Not to be a dick but owning Victor Cruz in fantasy isn't the best idea. I guess if you're really feeling that Giants swag, go for it
  11. Chapter 11 (9/9) Eliwood takes his time killing things. He gets some decent levels. Chapter 12 (8/17) Eliwood murders more stuff. Gets quite a few level ups with Spd/Def
  12. If you're really trying to add weight, there are easier methods than forcing yourself to eat fast food. Back in my high school days I was also desperate to add weight (though this was in order to increase strength/muscle mass.) Eating a larger meal for dinner will accomplish this, since that meal is closest to when you go to sleep, so you simply have less time to burn off the calories you consume. Another trick I took advantage of was to drink a lot of water right before going to sleep. I would wake up in the middle of the night to satisfy nature's urges, and eat a few spoonfuls of peanut butter before going back to sleep. Granted, this makes going back to sleep more difficult and is a bit more extreme than is necessary. Definitely helped me add weight in my teenage years, though. It's really all about what you're looking for. If you're comfortable at the weight you're currently at, don't change your diet. Your father can pressure you all he wants but if you aren't malnourished, you shouldn't feel obligated to put on more pounds. I obviously don't know your dad but it's your life and you need to take care of yourself first.
  13. They're grooming two now actually, with the addition of Jacoby Brissett this past draft. I'm actually not worried about Brady being out the first 4 games. There's still a lot of talent around Jimmy G on the offense. Gronk is one of the greatest TE's of all-time, Marty is no slouch and is a beast after the catch. Edelman is incredibly effective and Chris Hogan is another versatile piece who can play in the slot or outside. The run game will certainly be a concern; however, I put a lot of last year's struggles on the musical-chairs offensive line. The interior of the line looks significantly better than last year's squad, even with a rookie (Joe Thuney) likely starting at LG. Blount has looked spry so far this preseason and I actually expect the team to add a RB after final cutdowns. Jimmy has much more talent than any of Cassel, Mallett, or Hoyer. I also do believe he was drafted as an heir-apparent to Brady. The offense he ran in college involved many short-intermediate passes, which is the one thing the Pats have done well on offense the past decade (except for certain times they got shit on in the playoffs) Moving to the defense, I think the Pats might have the best overall unit in the AFC. I definitely was VERY worried about the secondary last season, and while they weren't perfect by any means, Malcolm Butler proved that he has what it takes to be a #1 corner. McCourty is a decent safety who typicallt doubles whoever Logan Ryan is covering. Pat Chung has been an absolute revelation since coming back from Philly, and I'm excited to see what Cyrus Jones has to offer while covering the slot. Obviously, they still own the top LB combination in the conference, so hopefully both of those guys can stay healthy. Despite the loss of Chandler Jones, the defensive line is insanely deep and versatile. I don't know what Mingo has to offer but I do know that they have a ton of edge defenders who can rush the passer and also drop into coverage. The interior D-line is a nice mix of of space-eaters and athletic/disruptive types. Throw in a special teams unit that's typically among the best in all of football and there's a lot of reason to believe they'll be among the final 4 teams once again. Any number of things can happen to screw things up but I the depth on this team is pretty incredible.
  14. I would argue that the Pats are the only team that don't have a major problem. Even the O line inspires more confidence (granted, before the season has started) than is has in any year over the past 5 or 6 seasons. Also, Ana, didn't Landry Jones do pretty well in spot start duty last season?
  15. Mettenberger hasn't really shown anything as far as legitimate QB play is concerned. But I guess when you have the offensive talent the Steelers have you really just need a dude with a pulse who can hand the ball to Bell or throw it to AB. Oh, and not smoke weed. Luckily their defense is gonna be poop again. The AFC is flawed as hell
  16. Yeah, double his average strength is slightly overkill, I'd say
  17. So you just rigged a bunch of strength growths on Matthew?
  18. My bad, I totally thought I already posted in here. I'll go with Raven
  19. If it makes you feel better, Patriots got hit with a triple whammy of injury news today. -Starting RT Sebastian Vollmer is headed to the IR with an undisclosed injury -2nd year guard/starter Shaq Mason broke his hand and is out indefinitely. He might not even make the roster now because he opened camp healthy and therefor isn't a candidate for Reserve/PUP -Dion Lewis needs another surgery on his knee, roughly 10 months after tearing his ACL against the Skins. The hope is that the procedure is of the scope/cleanout variety, but he'll be missing a minimum of 6 games to start the season and possibly more. Honestly, none of this is ideal but I still have faith in the team to be the best in the AFC. Blount actually looked decent in Thursday's preseason game and James White is basically a poor man's Dion Lewis. Someone will have to step up at RG and Marcus Cannon is now the starter at RT. The depth is better than I can remember over the past 6-7 years, but obviously it's going to be tested early
  20. I voted for Titania just to be That Guy, but then saw that someone else had already voted her. So there are two of us I guess
