  1. A couple years i borrowed a game called dungeon siege from a friend(its a real time rpg for the PC ). I enjoyed this game immensley and reccomend it to anyone who enjoys the genre. Is there anyone else who has played this game?
  2. Its not that my units are having trouble surviving, its that I can't get to Duesell beffore he is killed and I have alot of trouble rescuing Lucius(which there is no point in doing if Duesell is killed). Or am I reffering to the wrong chapter(my hard drive recently crashed, causing me to lose all my GhebFE data). Maybe it also has somthing to do with my strict no save state policy.
  3. Best: range tomes(that is to say they are more effective, not nesscesarilyt the most helpful worst:frying pan(FE12. check the axe data on the main site)
  4. The goat demon is the boss of the first floor. The only thing I use the tower for is stealing the goat demon's weapon. Also, if you believe chapter 5 is hard, don't even go glass's route. 10b is near impossible without tower abuse.
  5. Peppermint would have one hands down even if the deer hadn't been eating it. Mint is considered herbaceous(meaning that it's a borderline weed) and Basil is considered tender. Basil actually does much better in pots, as the conditions are easier to control and the Basil will not have opposition. Also, in order to maintain optimal conditions for basil attempt to water during midday, and never in the evening. Its also reccomended to syringe leaves in hot weather. However all the effort is worth it as Basil is considered one of the best culinar herbs and has been known to send experienced cooks into poetic raptures. Also, how do you use the oregano? Could you describe the plant?
  6. Couldn't you have cut the peppermint and Basil away from each other? Or was it that the roots were getting tangled up too? A good way to stop the min from taking over is to harvest it regularly. You can eat it right when ou harvest(which,in addition to being refreshing, helps: headaches, sore throats, and upset stomachs. Or you can sparingly add it fresh to soup, stews, salads, snacks such as crackers, or your drink. You can also dry the harvest to add as a seasoning to meat dishes and to brew tea with.(To dry a herb, hang it upside down in a cool and dry place. I use the basement laundry room, which drives my dad nuts.) Also, what kind of oregano are you growing?
  7. I have created this topic so that those who enjoy the various implications of herbs may discuss such( If there is anyone who wants to discuss. Herbs aren't exactly a popular topic.) I'll begin by describing my garden. i've so far planted: 2 rosemary plants 5 dill plants 1 broad leaf sage 1 purple sage 1 catnip bush 2 strawberry plants 2 sweet basil 1 italian oregano 1 golden oregano 1 hot n' spicy oregano 1 kent beauty oregano 1 curry plant 1 dwarf curry 1 peppermint plant 1 variegrated apple mint plant(also known as pineapple mint) 3 onions(2 have been uprooted and eaten. Best onions I've ever tasted) 2 blueberry bushes 2 kayan pepper plants 2 jalepeno plants 3 bell pepper plants 2 black pepper plants i mainly grow my herbs for culinary purposes though I am drying some sage to burn in the winter(its sterilizes and deoderizes rooms if set on embers.) I also so far have to say my facorite seasoning herb is rosemar. For some reason I an't get enough of it. And it retains its flavor when dried even beter than the oregano. I also am enjoying making tea out of the sage. Oh, and does anyone know a good recipe for pesto sauce(its a sauce made from basil and garlic, which compliment teach other very well.)
  8. DewXTiltyu is almost as weird as ArdenXTiltyu and the children will be much better than ArdenXTiltyu. I mean your going for strange pairing, not strangest. Arden and Tiltyu makes the kids downright useless, while nabs them worse bases but phenominal growths(except for magic, which no big deal or otherwise LexXTiltyu wouldn't work. It's still beter than ArdenXTiltyu)Try pairing Arden with Sylvia. It's odd and it gets a high def dancer and healer(assuming you train them).

    book reviews

What is a good site to get decent book reviews from. I am having a bit of trouble finding one.
  10. I personally would have to reccomend I Wanna Be the Guy. It's a free download from its main sight and is considered one of (if not the) hardest platformers currently in existence. Despite being the creation of an independepnt programmer, It is remarkably well made and, all considering, not too buggy. I also must second the reccomendation for Okami(try to get the PS2 version if you can, its better than the wii version). Out of the Metroid and Zelda series, I personally believe that the following are the better titles: Zelda: Ocarina of Time( N64, GC, Wii[download from online]) Link to the past(snes, GC) Metroid: Super metroid Metroid Prime 2
  11. The game actually looks as though it is decent. Has anyone gotten in trouble for pirating yet? I'm considering sampling the rom, at least untill it is released in english.
  12. Aren't you using Titania a bit to much? Ike could have used some of her kils(I'm assuming you are not intending to use Oscar or Boyd)
  13. I'm afraid you misunderstand my points. Though I say "what if" the scenario I mentioned is much more likely than a variety of other "what if"s and is a very relevant possibility. In fact, it is more likely to be true than th existence of "supernatural" prophecies. What I'm saying is that, if these "prophets" were indeed actually scientists, they would have to disguise their findings as prophecies in order for them to be accepted by the general public( as back then, science was not yet a defined practice. In addition, at the times which these "prophecies" were made, societies were markedly more theocratic then society today, or the 1900's, or the 1800's). My example of Leonardo Da Vinci is to say that it is possible that people discovered or invented things long ago that have not been today. And, when I give my example of the engineering shop, it is to say that there can be margin error in all manner of predictions. If there can be margin error in rational scenarios, why shouldn't there be margin error in prophecies if they do indeed exist?
  14. Somthing we must also consider on this point is that humans often time twist the meaning of religion in order to provide themselves with power. Religious empires could be created because ruler wants power, but is using god as an excuse. Look at the motto the conquistadors used as an excuse to conquer south america: Gold, Glory, God. This brings up a serious contradiction , Gold(avarice, a deadly sin), Glory(pride, the worst deadly sin) and god(christiananity). These contradictions make apparent how religion was twisted for self gain. Another point is that religion warrants the use of violence for self defence. Meaning Religious paranoia would make practitioners feel threatened causing a retaliation. And, because god purposely creates human beings with imperfections*(or so say the religious texts) he would have to forgive those who's actions are not to henious while keeping absolute faith in him/her/it. However, I also believe that the latter point is an arguement for reincarnation, seeing as the pupose of life(again according to religious texts)is to overcome your various flaws and hardships in order to gain access to heaven. If people only have one life to do this, in conjunction with the belief about sins, I estimate that only 0.3% of the population would make it to heaven, which is nonsensical.
  15. On the subject of your science point MGS, what if the prophets of old were basing their "prophecies" on their scientific observations. They because science at these points was not a widely accepted practice, let us consider that these "prophets" were forced to state their evidence in the form of prophecies in order for them to be accepted. Though this theory is not likely, let us look at Leonardo Da Vinci, who theorized and planned inventions 500 years before their time of invention(like the car and the submarine).(He lived in the 15th century). So, there may be prophets(like the 17th century Nostradomus) liek this. Another possibility is that, like all practices where somthing is predicted to happen at a certain time( science, engineerial prouction, reporting) that the divinal methods(such as Nostradomus's astrological predictions) also have margin error. For an example, if I work in an engineering workshop, I can say I'll have product X by a certain time. However, complications can arise that prolongs the date, or a stroke of luck can shorten it. Why should it be any different for divination if it is in fact a legitimate practice?(which is unlikely but its still something to consider.)
  16. How is he going to be integrated into the story anyway? Edit: sorry about the original post, really strange error. Oh dear thats embaressng. It said the posts from an earlier page were the most recent so I responded to those instead of the recent ones. Sorry.
  17. When I say "relatively high", I mean that in comparison to say this year, or 2008, or 2007, or ect. Let's look at the year 1000, which is another year everyone was saying would be the end. When it came and went with the earth still intact, crime and violence rose tremendously(obviously they couldn't take statistics back then). This means that there's a chance that when people wake up dec. 21 2012 and fire isn't raining from the sky, their relief could be expressed in mass violence, which could lead nuclear warheads being detonated. Or, one of those red giants that astronomers expect to supernova any time(if not already seeing how light takes time to trave and we wouldn't see the super nova until thousands of years after it goes up) now could send radiation toward earth. Even if it is too little to do any harm(which astronomers also say) people could go into a mass panic, and again, lead to the dentonation of multiple warheads.(Note that these hypothetical panics are started because of the prophecies that have been made for this date). And, the world doesn't nesccesarily have to end] dec. 21st, the events leading to the end could start that day. Meaning these mass panics or mass violences could happen after dec. 21. If every civilian on earth were to mob together, governments efforts to quell the masses would be ineffectual, besides bombing them. And how could that end I wonder.
  18. Pfffffffffft! As if thats supposed to make up for it. It should be at least 500 gold.
  19. Various countries (such as Russia) have enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world 20 time over.
  20. I actually cried when I saw they are going to mess up the water temple. Also, if you play the song of storms and equip the eye of truth immediantly after, it doesn't drain magic. Its inconvienient to do it every time you equip the eye but it helps immensly during the Gerudo desert.
  21. You know, there is actually a relatively high chance(that being, above .67%) that the end of the world may come in 2012. This is because, espacially considerinfg the instability in the world today, that people will work themselves into such a frenzy about 2012 that they end up causing something to happen. In other words, it's possible that 2012 is one of those prophecies that would not come true without the meddling of a prophet.
  22. Another discrepancy in the movie is the inclusion of Djinn, which play no part in greek mythology.(They're Arabian) I'd even bet that they would call the gods Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto ect. if the greek names weren't the most commonly used.
  23. I doubt I could stomach picking up my OoT game in the near future.
  24. Did you get the wind sword and Gae Bolg in ch. 3?
  25. When I say credible theorists, I reference those who actually care to study what the ancient cultures believed about this date as apposed to heretics who hear "The mayan calender ends in december 2012" and scream "JUDGEMENT DAY IS APPROACHING! THE ANITCHRIST SHALL SOON ARISE AND THE HAND OF GOD SHALL BRING ARMAGEDDON UPON US! REPENT! REPENT!" I personally would be more inclined to believe the former reference under the assumption that this whle what if does indeed come to pass. The testimonies I mentioned were merely an example of what a "New Age" could be. I merely felt it was one of the more intricate and unique possibilties, which is the reason I mentioned it. You don't have to believe it. Also, Nostrodamus's predictions were based off of his astrological observations. Assuming of course that the stars even tell the future(which is unlikely, but not impossible) its possible he misread the date or event in some cases (ie. his prediction about the twin towers.). Its also possible he was reffering to something other than what people believed he was reffering to. And, there is alway the highly likely chance tha he was a glorified poet who drew ispiraion from stargazing, and decided to call his works predictions so he could get famous.
