Query, for GBA resolve, do mages get a magic boost since they don't have a strength stat? Or is it still only skill/speed for them.

Yeah, sure strike just makes the attack hit, doesn't guarentee damage. Silencer though, I think that pierces great shield. Great shield blocks Pierce though. and sure anon, i'll do it if we can find a host for an fe8 skills game.

I just think boosters are better used on other units since Tauro has the potential to just become a massive resource sink that is just totally nullified by the opponents Nihilst. One speedwing isn't too much to ask for though.

The bad part about that support is they both need the runesword. But yeah, she's definitely better than useless turds like Ulki and Rhys. Tauroneo having speed wings isn't nescessary, he can still blick people with a brave lance while whoever your main resolver is does more with it due to having better stats (probably)

I think we're trying to revamp the whole list, tier by tier, and we've only gotten around to doing top. Espinosa suggested something like Naesala Gatrie Shinon ???? to start with, but I think Naesala is generally a negative given that it shuts you out of having Tibarn or Giffca. I don't know if that should be included though. I'd like to see other units like Nephenee and Geoffrey here like Baldrick just mentioned, along with maybe Zihark, Jill, Ranulf, and Ena or something. Other units that used to be there like Mist, Mia and Largo probably aren't good enough.

swordslayers are't effective against eirika/assassins/rouges, just tested it

Yeah, Runesword counts as a sword. And it does weird stuff like halve your strength, making it totally useless

I forgot about the Faire skills, they could definately be added. Its only +5 attack right? I don't know if it warrents 15 when stuff like resolve is 10. 10 is probably ok. and actually the breaker skills are actually pretty ok since most of the best units in the fe8 meta currently are single weapon locked, and it reigns them in a bit

I'm ok with starting but I think im the one with supports. I guess I could test the awakening skills you listed with the SP, although i'd have to look over them again, actually I don't really like the look of the awakening skills too much. Pavise and Aegis are ok, but the breaker skills are pretty silly. Aggressor is way too ridiculous, Lifetaker wouldn't be too bad if it were 20 SP I think (since you'd have limited offence otherwise) but I think they're just too strong.

I'm still up for trying an FE8 game with skills if anyone's interested.

To be fair. the only reason Boyd is hitting is because the forges are absolutley ridiculous at +5 MT and +25 hit sure he has fire affinity, but it's not used at all unless he supports DUN DUN DUN DEVDAN
