  1. There aren't any direct cop cc's so I'm more inclined to believe that if ARP is telling the truth that he's sane, still no guarantees though.

    12. Mafia are provided X+1 roles not in the setup as safeclaims, where X is the number of mafia

This rule means that mafia can safely claim any roles provided on their list without being counter-claimed. The fact that nobody cc'ed me or Gaius would mean that we're most likely either the real deal or mafia. The third option would be a lucky third-party (such as lyncher) but the possibility of that is smaller than the previous two.

  2. After re-reading I don't see anything on Green Poet's post that screams scummish to me, though she does seem a bit careful to not say too much, maybe that's the problem? Could be her playstyle though, though I don't know enough to say that.

actually no i change my mind

if arctic fox is innocent then we have scum between donald/random player. i just dunno if fox is town or not. still think mich is our best bet doe

Unless you have your own reason which you haven't spoken of yet, I assume that you agree with my case on Donald. If so, why do you think I'm scum?

  3. and a random player just sucks for starting off with a game theory post when nothing was happening then coming back to vote a guy with 0 votes while ignoring michelaar and everything else really

I would be a lot more productive if everything didn't start happening when I was sleeping. Everything started happening at 1 AM and I was too tired to think by then. I don't have much to say about Michel other than the fact that she doesn't has much content, or anything I can particularly react to. I'd be okay with a Michelaar lynch tbh, but I don't have anything to add to his case.

Haven't paid much attention to Green Poet though, I'll have to reread the thread on that.

  4. I don't like placing a vote unless I have a good reason, and I felt pressured to make a vote so I decided to vote first and then find a reason.

Isn't this a little contradictory? I don't like random votes, so I randomly voted and then try to convince myself that I didn't randomly vote.

Overall, I didn't like the reasoning for Artic's LG vote and her defensive behavior in her following posts but I don't think she's scum tbh. She sounds like a bad townie, trying to defend herself. Kinda like me at times. Of course I may be a bit biased, and with my luck she'll flip scum and make me look bad, but hey, it did generate discussion.

    Which brings me to this:

looks like my whole point is incorrect and yall should lynch me, right? after all i DID make all that up on the spot about you having made a post thats hella easy to miss, your gender, and the fact that lord gaius made a post thats hella easy to miss. youre like that person on the internet that looks at a solid argument and responds with a spelling correction.
its not about the vote itself. its both of your approaches to the vote that made me think yours was grimier. i brought up michel because people started voting him off of his rvs post. cant say i blame em but, like i said, at least he didnt fuckin skirt around a rationale for the vote like you did.
go ahead and omgus your way to the grave dawg, you even have more reason to vote me than gaius and your reasoning still sucks.
Quoting is hard. While Arctic (arguably) started the argument. This post just screams "hostile" to me. Like you're trying to intimidate Arctic into not retorting, and you didn't even deny her statement that you're pushing for an easy lynch, which let's admit. At this point, it kinda is.
iirc you said youve only played one maf game so ill tell you that your best bet (if youre town) is to vote for arctic fox. right now youre both at 3, and if you vote for her and votecount doesnt change by deadline, she gets lynched and not you.

I would understand if we were pressed for time, but we still had 17 hours into the day phase at the time of this post and getting reads on multiple people would've been more beneficial in the long run than bandwagoning someone for an easy lynch.

It sounds like you want to take charge and get to decide who gets lynched based on piggybacking other people's reads and intimidating others to do the same. Which in my personal opinion, not a very town-ish behavior. ##Unvote ##Vote: Donald Trump

  5. 8/20, actually. Lincher, Anarchist, Creepy Girl, Killer, Cult Leader, Werewolf, Clockmaker and Fool.

I like to have a clear stance from the beggining. If I act differently, I could be easily called out on it, so hard to see why would you complain about it :P

I would propose shooting them instead of lynching if possible. Since lynching a third party would cost us the chance of finding a potential mafia, which is a greater threat than most third-parties (with the exception of Cult Leader). Though I would also like to argue that a Clockmaker, Werewolf, or Anarchist might be useful for town to keep alive. Especially the Clockmaker which can function as a makeshift cop, since this game's cop is unreliable.

    3) Because there's a chance that a cornered Mafia/Third Party will fakeclaim (using the given list) I encourage people to counterclaim if they feel the info is not harmful (aka doctor/roles of the like).

    12. Mafia are provided X+1 roles not in the setup as safeclaims, where X is the number of mafia

I'm not sure how effective that would be against maf, considering ^. Might be useful if we're hunting third-party though. A fool might try to purposely look bad though.

  6. I don't know who half the people in this game are

@Arctic Fox, 20XX, Mars, A Random Player: have any of you played in previous games on this site? this question can also apply to Michelaar who I think saw play once but I don't remember what game it was or what he did so I might be hallucinating.

    ##Vote: Donald Trump

I played a little mafia before, not here though.

    ##Vote: Yoloswag

  7. @A Random Player: Very good question I forgot to answer in the opening! 'Death' will be handled on a case-by-case basis on whatever happened in that scenario. What happens can range from minor, temporary penalties to actual permanent death. If it was rough luck like missing a high hit rate then getting hit by a lower one, or a low percent crit chance, then I'm more likely to be lenient. Small tactical errors are likely to get a medium penalty, whereas obvious errors will get larger ones, etc. Thanks for asking.

Also, I want to add that if I manage to run things smoothly, I will likely open up smaller parts in the future for anyone interested. The player party size may increase, or good scenarios for non-player characters can crop up that could be interesting to work others in for (like a merchant type or something, as an example)

Yeah okay, I can agree with that. Also, you're welcome :D:

  8. Only if we can also make a list of:

    Coders/Writers/Scenario Designers/etc

that are available to take requests*.

*processes that take hours and hours and hours and hours of life to finish. That are also things that would get edited, the minds of people changing for one reason or another; and therefore needing MORE return work b the original builder (or somebody else, which could cause other issues).

I really think this is a good idea. Since I do recall a thread in the resources section where hackers offer to create ASM hacks in exchange for money. While it may not be for everybody, I'm pretty sure that *some* people will be able to get something out of it (whether for practice/profit).

Most spriters probably wouldn't like taking requests, but it doesn't close the possibility that some may. And if the requester doesn't deliver, he/she can always make the sprite open source, since I'm sure we could always use more good sprites. Of course, this could extend beyond spriters (which I'm not) to other creative workers. I as a (amateur) writer for one, feel like I could improve if I took requests from others since I rarely get inspiration for an original story myself.

TL;DR - I think it's a good idea to create a request section for everyone, not just spriters

  9. Hearing Noel's (ah that was it) response, Rufus couldn't help but laugh. "At ease soldier." Looks like she's also from the military. That makes at least three of us. "Well I haven't come up with a title for you yet, I'll tell you when I do though." Switching to a more serious tone, Rufus continues "You shouldn't just be doing what others tells you too. Remember, 'A man chooses, a slave obeys'" A proverb he remembered from a book he read a while ago, Rufus thought that Noel might need to hear it.

Turning around to go back inside the house, Rufus saw Shepard pointing his rifle at the ceiling. The Roof. Rufus realized he hasn't considered that possibility. Remembering that he left Shepard's Handgun inside the house, Rufus decides to watch the roof closely for any kind movement, preparing a Seal Throw just in case...

  10. Looking around the outside of the house, Rufus can see that no one was injured, and while the sound of gunshot turned a few heads, most of the villagers returned to their businesses once they saw Rufus. Rufus was relieved. Looking at the girl, Rufus tried to apologize.

"Listen uhh... (What's her name again?) I'm sorry for yelling earlier. I mean what you did was wrong, but uhh... I could've said it better. (I'm really bad at this) So uhh... I'm sorry for saying those things earlier, I wasn't really thinking straight at that point."
