Fire Emblem Echoes (Direct Information)
Leif replied to VincentASM's topic in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
This is definitely either an Avatar or new character. They'll pull a New Mystery of the Emblem I reckon. I just PRAY that this new character will not waste necessary narrative space. -

I noticed that there appeared to be a female villager (the one with long white hair) in the video. Did anyone else notice this? -

Boey looks so awesome. Finally, FINALLY. A male mage that doesn't look silly. I am liking this art so much because it has that "mature anime" (for lack of a better term) look that was present in titles like Tactics Ogre. Oh man, this makes me so excited. I cannot wait to get my hands on the game. -
Fire Emblem Direct: Direct Links, Info Collection, Reveal & More

AHHHH!!! The Fire Emblem Gaiden remake is actually giving me HOPE for the franchise!!! It looks sooooo good!!! I am so excited for it!!! -
Well, it's finally here. What do you guys think of this trailer? I think it looks great... except for Emma Watson. I think she was miscast. She looks like Belle, but, judging from the trailer, she doesn't seem to express the tenderness that the animated Belle did. I know most people think Beast looks weird, but I don't have any problems with how he looks, or the CGI. I don't place too much emphasis on a film's visuals; I just want these actors to deliver good performances and for the musical numbers to be just as grand as the Broadway version of the story. I think Bill Condon should have had a normal audition for the character Belle instead of recruiting her. There are plenty of other actresses who look like Belle *and* have singing experience. Laura Osnes comes to mind.

The SRPG engine that Kaga used to create Vestaria Saga has piqued my interest, lately. While perusing the engine's official site, the Q&A section mentioned that the developers were considering a western release. Has there been any word of a western release? SRPG Studio's official Twitter account has only been making posts regarding various bug fixes and/or updates to the game's engine. It will have been two years since the engine's inception when spring of 2017 rolls around, so I'll assume that the answer is "no". However, a part of me hopes that I'm not simply chasing a dream, because the it looks like a really fun program to tinker with.

Yeah, I'm doing the "bonds" ending first. I'm about to face.. Honestly, if I weren't such a sap, I'd... I have a separate save file for that ending pathway. Magic builds are extremely useful early game, but become relatively pointless with Awakened Power + Pierce skills. I changed my MC to a physical build thanks to infinite Strength Incenses. He now has Akasha Arts and Hell Thrust as his primary attacks, along with Salvation and other support moves, of course.

I would still recommend a magic build despite the DEX stat fix. It saves you money in the long run. I never worried about buying weapons or guns since I was doing more damage with spells and elemental stones. The game also gives elemental stones out like candy, so if you run out of MP during a boss fight, you can fall back on them. Magic users do have to worry about skill slots since you have to use almost all of your free spaces if you want total weakness coverage. Endgame magic builds, however, can just rely on one powerful spell, like Antichthon or Great Logos, along with Concentrate + Smile Charge to do massive damage to all enemies.

I am mid-way through the game (my Nanashi is about to have his first chat with Fujiwara at Cafe Florida) at level 50 with 212 magic and high Luck and Agility. Like SMTIV, you are going to have to focus on either Strength, Dexterity, or Magic with a smattering of Luck and Agility. I chose magic because it's ridiculously broken. Gun and Physical builds won't be as good until the endgame when you get the Akasha Arts and Riot Gun skills due to their respective element pierce effects. The gameplay is the best in the series, but the story is very underwhelming. Navarre and Asahi are exceptionally obnoxious. They've grown on me, but I'd much rather have Dagda take the spotlight over them since he's more interesting. I don't know what route I'm on, but most of my decisions have been in the favor of my partners. The choices (so far) pretty much boil down to whether or not Nanashi is nice or a dick to his partners. Nocturne would be the best game in the series if it had SMTIV: Apocalypse's mechanics. Nocturne's story blows I's, II's and IV's out of the water. SMTIV: Apocalypse is the Fire Emblem Fates of the Shin Megami Tensei series.

What If FE Mobile Is A Mobile Version of FE Cipher?
Leif replied to JamesEmblem's topic in Fire Emblem Heroes
I wouldn't think Nintendo would market a FE mobile game as a card game. I'd think Nintendo would give new FE fans an experience similar to what was found in Fates.. Personally, I'd rather have another SRPG over a card game. -
The series is far from screwed. It's doing remarkably well now--enough to get itself a spinoff mobile game next month. The gameplay, map design, and music in Conquest was top-notch. The story was rubbish (save for some brief moments). At least Conquest tried to do something different, so I'll give it that. If Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest had a "Game of Thrones" level of story-telling quality, it would have been, in my opinion, the perfect Fire Emblem game. I am a fan of the older FE's. Unfortunately that era is long gone so we have to just embrace the new whilst cling onto the hope that FE15 can deliver a better plot with more compelling characters. I'll be honest; I'd like to have a Fire Emblem game without the overused and tired high-fantasy anime art style (I'd have an art style like the one found in Tactics Ogre), but I'd rather take a game with garbage art direction but an amazing story rather than a game with a horrid plot but with amazing character designs. If it were up to me, I'd have a Rated M Fire Emblem game with a story that would be just as brutal and nail-biting as Game of Thrones. I would have loads of death, no more stock villains, gray morality, political manipulations, assassinations, massacres, and tough choices. That won't happen, unfortunately. I'd would be thrilled if IS managed to weave a plot that was on the same level as Final Fantasy Tactics's.

Nope, the bear still doesn't look good, even with the 3D render. It's body shape is very unnatural for a mammal-based Pokemon. It looks like a pill capsule with legs, arms, and a face. Granted, Pancham's body shape isn't that realistic as well, but at least it doesn't look so doll-like. On a more positive note, Mimikkyu looks fine in-game.
