  1. I don't know if this has been discussed here, but I've heard that the sales for this game has been poor so far. Can anyone confirm this?
  2. I loved the Bohemian Rhapsody artwork, and the "Corrin's Priorities" comic is basically why I chose Nohr.
  3. My 3ds said Map pack 2 was 7 dollars.
  4. Yeah, OP, you did an interesting analysis, but, as much as I wish that this game were cleverly written, I just don't think that much thought was put in to the characters (except Leo). There were almost 70 other characters for the writers to develop. xD These comments made me laugh out loud. I was thinking the same thing.
  5. UGH. Damn it IntSys! Though, I figured that was the case...
  6. Looks like I saw a possessed!Leo being attacked by Fem!Kanna. That makes me very sad.
  7. That's how I pronounce it. I'm not sure if I should pronounce the "GIN" like "Jin" as in the alcoholic beverage or the Arabic spiritual entity, though.
  8. This. I was too nice and paid for it, severely. Almost lost Xander.
  9. Does anyone have Death Blow on Nina?
  10. Does anyone have Vantage on Mitama?
  11. Ahahahaha! That made me laugh out loud. I think Kozaki was trying to attempt to capture her doing her "scary face" thing.
  12. Seigbert gets fantastic growths with Mozu as his mother. Azura!Midori isn't a bad way to go since she has her terrible speed patched up. I'd give Kaden Hana. Azura!Selkie has horrific physical defenses. I'd give Hinoka to Asugi, since he'll get nothing but positive stat modifiers form her. Laslow should be with Peri.
  13. Setsuna gives Nina a 30% strength growth and 15% magic growth. Camilla gives her a 48% strength growth and 28% magic growth. I think that Camilla will give Nina better base stats and growths, thus making her a better fighter in the long run. Have her marry Asugi or Shiro for good class skills. Trample can be a "bowfaire" skill for non-mounted units. Then again, Camilla is a great mother for any non-magic child.
  14. Oboro is a great mother for Sophia. Tons of lance-wielding class options for Sophie, along with great skills like Quixotic and Rend Heaven. I think that Camilla is better for Nina. Setsuna will annihilate Nina's offensive prowess. Camilla gives Nina more bulk and offensive stats. You'd want to give Setsuna to units who will not have their strength absolutely wrecked, like Percy or Shiro for instance. Azama NEEDS Effie. Mitama reaches her fullest potential this way due to a +6 strength modifier. Mitama is not meant to be a magic user (strangely). Keaton is better with Charlotte because she gives Velouria a +7 (!!!!) strength cap in addition to great growths.
  15. Yeah, I can definitely see that coming to this, or perhaps the legacy characters will appear as costumes?
  16. Thank goodness. I'm glad that we will definitely be getting more entries in the series. Thank you, Awakening and Fates, for raising the series from the ashes. All I hope is that our next mainline game will have an excellent story as well as more unique gameplay elements to spice up the campaigns.
  17. This is probably be a "baby's first Fire Emblem game" that will appeal to the casual crowd. I'm curious to see what this will look like. Perhaps we will have an "avatar-like" customization for all units in an army followed by castle creation, etc. We can chose their classes, growth patterns, gender, color schemes, etc. I highly doubt that Nintendo will do what Square Enix has been doing with their mobile games (simply porting their classic titles to iOS/smartphone platforms). Nintendo probably wants to make something that has high replay value. That's why I also predict that this game will have a multiplayer aspect. We will probably invade other castles, level up our units, get more stuff to customize our bases, etc.
  18. This is the art style I wish FE had. It looks more refined than Kozaki's anime "high fantasy" stuff.
  19. As long as it isn't the "FE15" of the series, I don't really care. I just hope that it isn't going to end up like that knock-off FE game, Partia.
  20. Knight and Merchant are bad. However, Dark Mages are Sorcerers are WAY better than their Awakening counter parts, so I don't mind them.
  21. I am totally fine with this. In fact, I want Intelligent Systems to do MORE of this! This is partly the reason why Conquest is my favorite path. Your tactical skills are forced to be reevaluated in the face of challenges. Also, I really hope they give the enemy AI more tools at their disposal in the next FE. After playing the "Witch's Trial" DLC map, I really wanted the Witch class to return from Gaiden and Tear Ring Saga as an enemy-only class. That way we have to watch out for warping witches when we take on challenging maps. Speaking of enemy-only classes, I hope that IS adds more of those kinds of classes because it would bring even more diversity to the battlefield. Perhaps they could give the AI enemy-only classes that are similar to third tier classes from Radiant Dawn.
  22. Ugh, this definitely proves that Nina is, indeed, canon where gay Niles isn't. :*(** At least Nina is pretty awesome and her illustration with Dwyer is epic on so many levels.
  23. This is really hard for me since I REALLY like both Thracia 776 AND Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. Conquest wins (slightly) over Thracia 776 due to better gameplay, but I'll talk about both. Thracia 776: 1.) Chapter 4x (I totally agree with you there BLS) 2.) lack of a proper preparation screen 3.) status staves 4.) lack of 100% hit (just, WHY?) 5.) boring final boss, even though taking out the dead lords was awesome. 6.) lackluster soundtrack (when compared to FE4). 7.) FOW was really, really poorly implemented; FE6-8 did it right. Fates: Conquest 1.) VERY DISAPPOINTING STORY, ESPECIALLY IN THE FACE OF SO MUCH POTENTIAL. UGH. 2.) Lacks the traditional "old school Fire Emblem art style" from the Jugdral Saga. 3.) Odin, Laslow, and Selena (I wanted new characters). 4.) Camilla (fanservice) 5.) lack of weapon icons (that bugs me SO MUCH). 6.) no "real" dark magic. On that note, Nohrian magic was boring as heck. Where are my Elwind, Elthunder, and Elfire spells?! 7.) no FOW, and no berserk staff.
  24. Ughhh.... Really? This is going to be a terrible film. It will most likely end up like that Super Mario movie years back. *shudders*
  25. Well said. I think more political intrigue / drama would have made Fates WAY better. Though I dislike the Camus as a character (and subsequent characters that fit in his archetype), there were, at least, a few political reasons behind his loyalty. Xander's loyalty is only based on emotion, which reduces the complexity of his character a great deal. As a public announcement, don't worry about derailing the topic from my analysis guys. Just as long as we relate these other topics to Fates, I'm alright with slightly unrelated discussions. I'll get working on Before Awakening in a bit; I'm very busy, unfortunately. I have a bone to pick with that DLC, because I'm getting Kingdom Hearts vibes (in terms of writing quality), and that's NOT the direction I want future FE's to take.
