  1. @Troykv I think Odin and Palla have Moonbow, Nowi and Oboro have Rally Defense, and Cecilia has Rally Resistance. There are probably others I'm forgetting tho. So, with Raudhrraven, I dunno if you want Death Blow (to always deal more damage) or Triangle Adept (to do much better against Green and Colorless foes). I suppose it depends on how Sophia handle Greens with and without TA, whether Takumi can one-shot her, and whether Blues can one-round you without TA, but I wouldn't know the calcs for that. And you're not changing everything about Sophia to make her good, just giving her the tools that best suit her limited skillset. @Eselred I've been doing the same thing with my recently-acquired Ninian and Fae. It's really very convenient, and I hope they have more of these boosted-EXP events in the future.
  2. @Troykv Yeah, that sounds about right. Sophia's not that good, outside of having skills I want to give other characters. But, maybe we can fix her via Inherit Skill? I'm thinking maybe we could start by giving her Rally Defense/Resistance for a Command Skill (whichever of those your teammates require)... And then give her Moonbow, so she can at least have a chance at using her Special Skill... And then give her Death Blow and Threaten RES so she can deal more damage (if she's only going to get one hit, it needs to count for a lot)... and for a B Skill, perhaps a Breaker skill? Not sure which one should be used, I'm thinking either Axebreaker so she can counter Hector and other axes or Swordbreaker so she can beat down low-RES sword lords; I don't see any reason to use the Tomebreakers. And for a weapon, maybe Raudhrwolf, so she can wreck cavalry, or Raudhrraven, for double WTA (though, if she gets this, maybe give her Triangle Adept over Death Blow). Would this possibly fix Sophia? Dragon Fang's function on Sophia is that Attack is her highest stat (unless you had a -ATK/+DEF or -ATK/+RES Sophia), so you can add a large amount of her ATK stat as additional damage when you get it charged, and given how Sophia's stats are distributed she looks like she's supposed to be a one-hit nuke that doesn't take hits very well, so there's really no point in giving her anything except more power... Of course, this fails since Sophia isn't built to last long enough to charge Dragon Fang up 99.99% of the time (4 cooldown on a unit this slow and fragile is just not a good idea), but that looks like the logical explanation from where I'm standing.
  3. Do the Dance/Sing commands decrease your Special skill cooldown when used? Also, not sure if this is the right thread for this, but would Iceberg/Glacies or Escutcheon/Pavise be better for Ninian?
  4. @Quintessence Hey, I tried that this morning! And I got a 4-Star Reinhardt out of it! (And a 3-Star Virion, but I tossed him for feathers) And this afternoon I decided to try for Ninian again. Among the various skill/feather fodder (including very fortunate pulls of duplicate 4-Star Shanna and Odin, as well as a 3-Star Gunter which is good because I tossed the free ones for feathers), I got a 4-Star Effie (+HP/-ATK, but her ATK's still gonna be really good anyway, plus she has Death Blow, and +HP should make Wary Fighter last a bit longer), 5-Star Fae (At first I had mixed feelings about this, because on the one hand I started hoping for Fae or Raven when I got a no-Blue pull and I'd been hoping to pull Fae since February, but on the other hand she reset the increasing 5-Star pull chance which made getting Ninian less likely... but then I got Ninian on the next pull anyway so hey, I got Ninian and a laser chicken!), and 5-Star Ninian (Went for one more pull after Surprise Fae, and was very lucky)! So happy right now.
  5. Yeah, if that's what it is, that would probably be a bit OP. And not quite something I could see Sumia using. But now that I'm back here, have some green lance: Also, an OC, because I'm really tired right now and couldn't come up with something I liked for Kent:
  6. @TheTuckingFypo Nice writeup! I really like your Sumia! But, a few things: A) Night Sky and Moonbow come from different skillsets, and Moonbow is a 4-Star skill. Did you want New Moon? A2) Galeforce can only be gained with the Night Sky > Astra skill line. B) What's a "magical brace" weapon? C) I like both B/C Skill sets, they seem like good ideas (Wings of Mercy/Breath of Life would be good for teleporting mini-heals, Renewal/Threaten SPD seems like a good way to make Sumia stronger and a bit more survivable). Not sure which one I like more tho. D) I like the idea of giving Sumia Rally Speed, if only to make her different from Cordelia. That or New Moon > Moonbow, but that might be because I really like Moonbow's very short cooldown. 5) I now want to see Sumia showing Seliph and/or Julia her copy of "Ribald Tales of the Faith War." Other than that, it's great!
  7. Draug... I never really looked at him because I don't like his skillset (also, 1 MOV is awful), but his Speed is actually rather good, and his Defense and HP are amazing. I would possibly replace Pavise with Aegis or Sacred Cowl to try to mitigate Draug's Resistance being awful, replace Brave Sword with Killing Edge to proc Aegis/Cowl faster, and give him Svalinn Shield or RES +3, Brash Assault (Draug has a lot of HP, so I can see him getting some usage out of this) and Spur/Fortify DEF 3 so he can work with a non-Armor team. Hana should have her role as Glass Cannon enhanced, so throw a Brave Sword her way so she can double-hit everything, and probably quad-hit most armors (to make up for losing Armorslayer's effective damage on them). Also, maybe give her Dragon Fang, to make her deal even more damage. Skills-wise, keep Life and Death to undo the Speed loss from Brave Sword (IIRC this leaves Hana with 36 Speed or something close to that), perhaps give her Escape Route so she can run away to safety after taking a hit, or maybe one of the Seal skills so she can nerf enemies she can't kill (not sure who those would be, but I'm assuming at least the armors can survive two Hana hits, except maybe Sheena if one hit was Dragon Fang-boosted), or maybe Vantage, and throw Savage Blow on her so she can damage nearby enemies post-combat. Also, maybe giving Ursula Blarblade/Moonbow would let her be a superior Odin? Since she can take advantage of Hone/Fortify Cavalry, so you could have two teammates with those and one extra (I would use Clarine/Elise/Priscilla for healing & Pain+Poison Strike while still benefiting from H/FC, or maybe a dancer to give extra turns, but you could put pretty much anyone in the fourth slot here depending on your needs), is what I'm thinking. @Kiran That's also a really good set! Probably still rather vulnerable tho, since Fury eats 6 HP after any combat and Hana's defenses are probably still not that great even after Fury 3. Still, I would try it, if I had a spare Hana.
  8. I disagree. Primarily because of Marth, whose speed is his highest stat (excepting HP), but there's also Roy, who is more Weapon-Triangle-matchup-dependent than strength-reliant thanks to Triangle Adept (plus his speed isn't that bad really, 31 is a respectable amount I think).
  9. Do you have anyone with Hone Cavalry and Fortify Cavalry? Then yes, Cecilia can make Gronnblade work (though, maybe save it for when she can get the + version). Otherwise, I would just keep it on Nino. As for Effie, give her Death Blow or Defiant ATK if she doesn't have it, and maybe Threaten DEF so she can hit harder. Also, perhaps Draconic Aura or Dragon Fang, to take advantage of her high ATK? For Minerva and Lucina, I have a long spoiler in another post on this thread (this page or one or two back, I think) for thoughts on them. For Klein, maybe give him Threaten DEF so he can hit harder with his Brave attacks?
  10. Ah, damnit. It's not too bad tho, I don't really need TA on anyone right now. I guess I'll hope for a 4-Star Roy pull in the future then, 'cause I'm not gonna burn feathers on Selena (maybe Cordelia, depends on when she learns Galeforce).
  11. Anyone else? My only Roy is the 5-Star I pulled back in February, and I don't want to get rid of him. And I doubt I'll pull another one any time soon, given my luck with Reds and the fact that I'm pulling nothing but Blue/Grey this focus because I want Ninian and all of this focus's Grey units.
  12. So, after seeing how Inherit Skill works... I'm glad I pulled that 5-Star Ogma, so I don't need to burn 40k feathers to make Brave Sword Hana a thing (just 20k, to 5-Star Hana). I won't be able to make Blarblade Ursula a thing any time soon tho (Ursula and both of my Odins are 3-Stars)... Sigh. I hope that Hero Merit thing lets us get lots of feathers at a reasonable quickly when we get it. Also, does anyone get Triangle Adept 3 at 4-Stars? Because I wanna give it to my M!Robin without burning too many feathers.
  13. Regarding your thoughts on my thoughts, here's my thoughts on your thoughts on my thoughts! Even though I really need to get some sleep already! In a spoiler! And now, I'm getting some sleep already. See you all again when we can make our favorite units amazing!
  14. I like this team as well. However, were you able to get Ursula? Because if you train her up, I think you could replace Odin with her. She has Death Blow and Blarwolf, so she'd be reasonably powerful (and very damaging vs. horses), and she probably would do better vs. mages with her higher RES compared to him. Plus, she has Growing (I think? Might be Blazing, I don't recall) Thunder, which, hey, if you get it off, that's probably a kill right there, and if not it softens up enemies around the target, which is usually a good thing. Just a thought.
  15. Myrrh. Also Mist, and Sain, and the Choose Your Legends characters to see if they're actually different or just alternate costumes, but mostly Myrrh.
  16. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! Okay, so! Gonna limit myself to suggestions for your main team here (assuming that's your main team in the first 4 slots... also not bothering with whether or not you have units with the skills I'm saying you should give to your 5-Star team, or assuming any boons/banes... Also I only have one of these units so I might not have any idea what I'm talking about here), starting with (spoilered for longness): So, that's my suggestions for your main team. Sorry that took so long. Hope it helped, in some way. I would say that Minerva is good, and you could maybe use my setup up there in the spoiler if you're gonna use her. However, you have a 5-Star Raven, so maybe give him a shot? Sorry, I dunno what you should do here, I only have Nino for a good Green unit (although you have her too, so maybe train her up?). And maybe replace Lucina or Karel with a magic user (I would pick Odin, since the rest of your team wouldn't give Nino the buffs she needs, while Odin can at least get Defiant ATK to buff himself).
  17. She most likely can. I've been thinking of doing something like that with Ursula and Odin's Blarblade. She could use it so much better than he could, since she can benefit from the Cav Boosts, so I can keep Clarine (or maybe Priscilla, if I ever pull her) around and have her heal and debuff. You poor fellow (unless you have Hector and/or Effie, in which case I'm jealous). At least you got the reward, yeah? And you can say you cleared all the March quests, yeah? I don't think that's actually going to be necessary, or at least I haven't seen anything saying it is. I'm hoping not, I wanna give my Brave Sword Hana Escutcheon and/or Moonbow and don't want to train up Odin / whichever of my units has Escutcheon that I'm not going to use ever. Well, she'll have Triangle Adept, which she benefits more from because Raudhrraven gives WTA over two colors. M!Robin doesn't have that. I can help you with that, if you want!
  18. Neither can I! Except for the sea of Vantage Takumis... Not looking forward to seeing that.
  19. Haha, I wouldn't plan on Sanaki 1v1ing a Blue either, but it's gonna happen sooner or later, and I would like her to have something approaching a fighting chance when that happens. And for your fourth slot, maybe try Ninian (if you can pull her)? She's a dancer, so she'll be really useful for that alone, but she's also a magic unit (dragon), and she can buff adjacent allies when she attacks and she can teleport next to your other units when her HP gets low, so she could be what you need. And I wanna put it on Jaffar. I doubt we'll be able to do that (gotta keep dancers unique), but I really want to.
  20. Same sentiment here, mate. These analyses were very informative, I enjoyed reading them (even if I couldn't enjoy using the units they were for due to not pulling them, except Sharena), and I look forward to reading the new ones in your next thread (unless you're just gonna do the new analyses in this one, then I'll look forward to that instead)!
  21. Huh. I didn't know that. I was just thinking that Moonbow/Luna would perhaps let Sanaki hit Blue enemies for solid chip damage, which I'm not sure she can do a decent job of normally thanks to Triangle Adept. Still, after seeing your calculations, Iceberg/Draconic Aura would probably be better outside of vs. Blues (and probably even then, too, unless the enemy's RES was high). Or maybe Glacies/Dragon Fang, but I'm not a fan of the charge times on those.
  22. Yeah, I've run into that. It's so annoying. That sounds amazing. Though, you should probably give Sanaki Moonbow or Luna instead of Dragon Fang, so she can maybe do some damage to Blue enemies sometimes (and overkill Green/Colorless enemies even harder), and maybe Threaten RES for the same reason (unless you need Hone ATK for something). And for the B slot, I'd say go with Daggerbreaker or Bowbreaker, depending on whether Takumi or Kagero is the bigger threat to your team.
  23. Aww... I wanted a dancing assassin tho. Ah well, I can still give him Pivot or something, yeah?
  24. Ah, damnit. I forgot about that. Forget that stuff about Jaffar being better for passive damage. I'd probably still take Jaffar tho, since he can deal solid damage before the extra 7 is applied (especially when Glimmer procs) and applies DEF & RES debuffs so my other units can kill more easily. On an unrelated note, I kinda wanna make a team tomorrow of Ursula (with Blarblade and Moonbow, courtesy of the spare Odin I got yesterday), Eliwood (for Red coverage and Hone Cavalry, to be plucked from the next Gunter I pull), Frederick (for Green coverage and Fortify Cavalry, plucked from my spare Jagen), and Jaffar (here to apply debuffs and kill things, though I may give him Dance and Hone ATK from one of my spare Olivias so he can have some extra utility) or Clarine (gonna give her the Pain+Poison Strike combo for lols, and Rehab/Heavenly Light/Live To Serve from Wrys because Ursula won't benefit from Swift-Winds Balm that often compared to a whole-team heal, and it helps keep Clarine alive). Would this have a chance of working?
  25. They'll probably be alright. 20 HP damage is nothing to scoff at, probably puts most units into OHKO range by itself, and they can heal when they aren't ripping large chunks of HP off of people, so healers with Pain+Poison Strike could be very useful on the right team composition. Personally, I would prefer Jaffar with Poison Strike, since he can actually deal damage on top of dealing 17 (10 from Poison Strike 3 + 7 from Deathly Dagger, if I'm remembering how much damage Deathly Dagger does correctly) damage and dropping enemy defenses to pretty much guarantee an OHK on most units that aren't finished by Jaffar himself, but he doesn't have healing and his defenses are gonna be poor thanks to Life and Death (at least, I assume) so I can see a case for Pain+Poison Strike healers being better than him in certain circumstances.
