    I personally go for Ryoma x Oboro because Oboro!Shiro makes perfect sense for mother-son IMO.

    I'm not entirely comfortable with the idea of Awakening kids in Fates, as this makes other characters from Nohr unnecessary if they're involved imo. As for Lucina, I'm perfectly comfortable with her as a amiibo unit and nothing more.

    Actually, the real reason I support Saizo x Sakura is because Asugi's hair colour is the closest extent of resembling Gaius xD. But if it was up to me I would have wanted Saizo x Flora to go with Kaze x Felicia if that was possible Lol.

    I feel like this topic should belong in the General Fire Emblem section instead of here imo. But anyways, I would agree that the children features is unnecessary for the future FE installment. I mean it was nice for a while that Awakening reintroduced it since FE4.

    Frederick x Cherche actually makes a worst Gerome and is not as good as you might think, despite popular beliefs from GameFAQs. I would advise against it especially for Apotheosis.

    From what I've heard a while back, Donnel is ineffective for Lunatic+ in-terms of mods. Not to mention that levelling him up at Paralogue 1 is tedious because Archers have Pass.

    Personally I find Astra to be unreliable against certain enemy units with Counter in post-game (mainly Warriors), and the activation rate is similar to Aether (iirc?), which seems a bit disingenuous without Rightful King imo. : /
