  1. The real Garon wouldn't have killed Sumeragi - they were friendly neighbours, with the war only starting after Garon's death and possession (Elise: [Xander] said Father wasn't cruel back then. That he loved showing his strength... But he had dignity and charm and didn't care for conquering other kingdoms. - Birthright C22 post-battle ). Presumably Garon died shortly after Elise was conceived, explaining how she was born after Azura's kidnapping. It's clear, though, that Corrin's kidnapping was perpetrated by Gooron.
  2. Armours? WE!Tharja (mine is +Spd -HP) with DD3 seal, Spur Res next to her, and Ward Armour two squares away survives and destroys the entire map attacking her. Berkut's Lance can probably put DC lance armours in a similar position, though I wouldn't know, as I don't fodder 5* units. ...if you don't have either of those, I'm out of ideas.
  3. We still sharing our free pulls from Brave Heroes? I chose Lyn, like a lot of people, but I already had Roy and Lucina by then (Roy was my free pull, in fact). I'm very glad I chose as I did, because I went and pulled Brave Ike literally ten minutes after the banner ended. XD
  4. Cleric is far and away Faye's best option. Quite apart from Physic and Rescue, with an A support with Alm she has 80% accurate Nosferatu. Give her a Mage Ring and sit her next to Alm and she'll never die, while killing basically everything short of Grima/Duma.
  5. They'll probably do something like they did with Echoes - one banner at the Japanese release, and another at or just before the international release (assuming they're separate, of course). I very much doubt that the first banner will come out before the Japanese launch. I also expect them to continue with TH much as they did with Echoes - after a month or so, they'll throw a few TT rewards and a GHB at us, plus another full banner or two, then back to regularly scheduled banner programming.
  6. I don't like Bridal Blessings. I have pulled 5 5* units off it since it started up again: Nephenee (huh), BB!Shiida (already have her), F!Morgan (o...kay?), BB!Cordelia (Already. Have. Her. :-/ ), and Nephenee (wait, what?). Please, Anna, for the love of all that is holy, I just want Lyn. :-(
  7. Your knowledge is incomplete. These Lunatic quests have always run alongside their banner, so the first overlap between Paralogue and Main Story quests was Ylissean Summer and B1C12 (well, I think that those quests were around back then. It's definitely been happening a lot with Book 2, though).
  8. Infernal went much more smoothly than I expected. I dumped Reinhardt for my classic squad of Nino, Eirika, Kagero, and Cordelia, and Julius rolled over on my first attempt. I guess it helped that most of the enemies are infantry, and that the one armoured unit doesn't have Wary Fighter (the bane of my life, seriously). On a totally unrelated note, I love having Life and Death 3 fodder at 4*.
  9. I recently wanted a Brave Bow on my Lyn, so I thought "who has a Brave Bow? Oh, right, Setsuna". ...Or not. So now Lyn has an Assassin's Bow.
  10. Ugh, that was a pain. Cordelia is best girl, though. The usual suspects did it for me: Reinhardt, Nino, Olivia, and Cordelia. Nino, Olivia, and Reinhardt conspired to get rid of the Lance Knight on turn 1, and Cordelia baited a large group over to the bottom left of the map (including bloody Lyndis) before flying away laughing, which gave Nino and Reinhardt the space needed to clear out the reinforcements. Cordelia and Reinhardt teamed up to kill Lyn at the very end. The worst thing? Vantage Bow Cavalier. Bowbreaker Reinhardt just didn't quite cut it on EP, even with Moonbow charged, which led to the death of many runs as I then had no way to get a melee unit safely over to kill. The best part? I finished it off at four in the morning, because I couldn't stop thinking about it after I woke up from a bad dream.
  11. Same old boring team of Nino, Eirika, dancer. Except this time Fjorm filled the final slot. She is surprisingly good. She tanked the Red Manakete and Bow Fighter while Nino tanked the Green Mage and Kana - including the turn 3, when both of them unloaded their Specials onto her. And all of this on my first attempt of Infernal. Fjorm is great.
  12. This was... interesting. Nino finally found a use for the Triangle Adept I gave her to counter QP/Moonbow Rein literally a week before Summoner support made it redundant, and I ran Olwen instead of Reinhardt... and didn't use her. I ended up making good use of the enemy bodyblocking each other - Nino was in the theoretical range of the Gronnbreaker Red Cavalier twice - the first time, it rallied the (completely doomed) Blue Cavalier before it attacked Nino, then it attacked Eirika before the 1-HP Troubadour that she'd just dragged back moved away to attack Olivia. ...And now I have Grani's Shield fodder for Xander, so he can maim his own GHB. Score.
  13. He's not just the only playable character with Res - he's the only unit with Res, full stop. Every enemy in the game has 0 Res. With how magic works, this ends up making mages pretty weak in the lategame, since enemy HP goes up, but magic Atk doesn't.
  14. He's the only one. Ordwin - English (and thus ultimately Germanic). Ludwik - German. Jubelo - Jewish. Yuliya - Slavic. Camus - Apparently French despite no other names in Akaneia being French. Belf - No idea. Leiden - German Robert - German. Sternlin - Not a real name, but sounds Germanic, and is likely derived from the German name "Sterling". Lorenz - German. Roger - German. Jake - English, or, more likely, a shortening of the Jewish (Akaneian) name Jacob. Grigas - Slavic. Kannival - Who knows. Hollstadt - German. Dactyl - ...Greek? Larissa - Slavic. Harmein - German. Zharov - Slavic. Marisha - Slavic. Ymir - Scandinavian. Feh can keep her canon. It breaks my suspension of disbelief in half to have Camus be French among all that. Also, it makes him sound like a cow.
  15. Yes. Yes we can. Well, no, obviously, but I can. Grustian names are Germanic (Wulfrik), Scandinavian (Ymir), or Slavic (Yuliya). There's no hint of French in there. It makes no sense for Camus to be a French name in among all that. Guess what? There's a Camus who's from Scandinavian folklore. Guess how they pronounce it (per my German friend and my Danish sister)? Ka-moose. Up yours, Feh.
  16. Hilariously, Infernal's extra unit made it easier, because I can hit the Green Manakete and Reposition without being in range of the Axe Flier and its stupid Guidance shenanigans. Alm proved his worth, one-rounding Infernal!Nowi. Reinhardt, Eirika, and Nino were... well, themselves; viz, unbeatable.
  17. You know you can deploy fewer units than you're allowed to, right? The only reason you'd be dragging around extra units is because you chose to deploy them. Pair Up is actually really good for this reason - you can actually use more of your deployment slots, but you don't have to spend time each turn moving extra units around.
  18. I, like several others, don't like the fact that they're very hard to obtain - one chance and they're gone. Other than that, I'm indifferent. I don't really care that their costumes are "silly" or whatever, but neither am I particularly invested in the presented concepts. And they keep getting the ones named after actual seasons backwards what is with that You make some valid points, but this is bullshit. I can think of only four cases where a seasonal hero comes under one of those two descriptions, out of... one two three four five... 39? Yeah, so take that "most often" to Gamefaqs or something, because it's blatant exaggeration
  19. Unluckiest was Happy New Year. 9.5% 5* rate? Seliph. 11% 5* rate? Rhajat. No others. Luckiest was probably Brave Heroes, where I got Roy on pull #1 and Olwen on pull #2, followed by Lucina (then Ike ten minutes after the banner ended. Seriously, Brave Heroes was weird.)
  20. No, it halves damage from everything. Well, except in Fates, where the top-tier Yatos do 3/4 instead, but this is obviously Awakening's version. It also negates Counter and Lethality... neither of which exists in Heroes anyway.
  21. ^ I'm fairly sure that has already been posted in this thread. It's still funny, though.
  22. Yeah, Camus is great. I used Roy to take out Hawkeye, then Camus blocked off the enemy cavs while Roy ate the Green Mage. EDIT: Lance Cavalier got through, but Gunter tanked him no problem. Ah, this is just as easy as I remember - I pulled off Anna and Alfonse's quests in one go, specific kills and all.
  23. Mia, Lute and Dorcas are in the 5* pool, and none of the Fallen Heroes dropped, so I'm not sure what you're getting at. EDIT: Oh, you mean in the Tempest/Training Tower. Derp. ignore me.
  24. Well, that was an interesting turnaround... I got around to dealing with this armourquest (at last). First attempt: Tharja gets chunked by the entire map attacking her. So I change some seals. Second attempt: Tharja takes four damage from the entire map attacking her, and wipes them out in return (except for that one Lance Fighter, who walked into Hector on Turn 2). I was not expecting this. It looked hilarious. THARJA WILL CHOKE THIS POINT.
  25. Is this still being updated? @Glaceon Mage The final map of the Invisible Ties TT is Awakening's Endgame: Grima, and Chrom and Lissa's BHB is C24: Awakening.
