Pheromosa if only because I really hate how a lot of the newer pokemon are slow. Also Lusamine is my favourite character in this game and Pheromosa's design looks like it was inspired by Lusamine so that's a added bonus.

Mozu always passes Archer to her spouse and I think the Nohrian parallel if she marries an Archer. That said, Midori can get access to the Villager Skills through Apothecary if Mozu's her mother, so perhaps it passes the skills if the spouse can access Master of Arms or something like that.
Any Fates Buffs that wanna confirm/debunk my remarks, please feel free since I'm uncertain and just guessing at this point.
I married Mozu to Takumi because I thought he would get outlaw (like how one I forgot to change the default class (cavil in the character customization and married her to Xander and he got Ninja out of it), he got Apothecary instead. And Mozu got jack shit. So the parallel class mechanic reads the original starting class.

In Azura's case, they did set it up (you see the singing slowly killing her throughout Birthright. She's basically Satine in Moulin Rouge. Only Lilith death I didn't care for. You take out the stuff with Kaze and nothing will change (the scene with Ryoma and Corrin after the map was more than enough).
-
Level 20 generally, makes sense to do so when the experience dries up.
In Awakening, when I'm skill grinding, level 10 for unprompted class. Then Second Seal at 15 in prompted classes.
-
Pass down Galeforce to Brady because it's Galeforce. But in all honesty, it's easily the best skill in game so if you can pass it down, do it.
I say pass down Dual Support+ to Laurent if only because Miriel is good as a Valkyrie (so leveling her up in that class isn't a chore). Whereas with Cherche it isn't worth it in the long run unless your insane like me and want every unit to have all the skills they can have.
-
At the bare minimum, gameplay wise you have to be at least useful or unique. By biggest problem with the Awakening cast gameplay wise is how the child characters are so much better than their parents (especially the ones who start off in the same classes as their parents), I think once I recruit the child why would I even bother with their parent from that point on (except Robin).
Personality and Design, if you stick out I'm cool. This why I'm cool with characters like Corrin, Camilla, Henry, Tharja (I've grown to like her), Charlotte, Joshua, Natasha, Velouria, Ephraim, Mitama, etc...
And can't stand characters like: Chrom, Sumia, Silas, Sully, Cordelia, Shigure, etc...
The only time class tree plays a part is for my dislike for Knight's/General's as units.
Support Convos are a added bonus (Mozu)

Would Speed/ Luck be good as well.
Yes, luck is normally a go to bane.
-
I say Speed is almost always the best asset to go with; for flaw... I did this pairing on most recent Awakening play-through that's only interesting in skill grinding and I went with HP. The fact that Noire is getting all the female classes is the selling point.
For Gaius, I say have him marry Nowi. Gives Nah access to Galeforce and doesn't past down Donnel's shitty caps.
-
In the context of Fire Emblem:
I don't like how Speed can make or break characters; a lack of speed is the reason why I don't like using Knight/General's not named Effie. In Awakening, Kellam was always forever alone (I used him once and regretted it) and I think Orochi is the hardest to train in Fates: Revelation because of her bad speed and she's my go to forever alone in that game because training her up isn't worth it to me.

What are exactly your problems with these games? o.o
From reading people's opinions, from my interpretation, a lot of the difficultly comes from nonsensical bullshit. The reason I gave up on Scared Stones was because my units kept dying on Chapter 6 (the chapters before hand were perfectly fine and reasonable) from shit I have no control over. For example because of the Fog, I had no idea Vanessa was in range of a archer.
With Radiant Dawn, the idea of having a forced deployment unit with bad speed and defense sounds like unnecessary stress ,the whole Dawn Brigade in general.
Path of Radiance sounds like a game I would enjoy.
-
*The more I hear about the gameplay aspects of the older games, the more I don't want to play them (I got fed up with Scared Stones at chapter 6)
*All the lords are interchangeable to me, which is why I rather Avatars as lords from now on.
*A lack of a continent name in Fates does not bother me at all.
*I'm more annoyed by the people who complain about the fan-service designs than the fan-service designs themselves.
*The 3DS games can't write a canon pairing for shit.
-
Let's see:
- Chandelure: Love the typing, love the design and it always puts in work for me
- Espeon: I played the Game Cube games a lot and I use Espeon every time and would gladly use it again and again.
- Mega Lopunny: First Pokemon I've trained competitively and she has been wonderful.
- Gardevoir: A staple of my Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald experience I even used her on my first play through's of X and Omega Ruby and the time looking for a Ralts was worth it.
- Milotic: I love the design.
- Houndoom: Because of Pokemon XD
- Walrein: Because of Pokemon XD
- Weavile: A much needed evolution to a Pokemon I thought was cool
- Clefable: Very recent addition
- Jumpluff: Guilty pleasure
I haven't played Sun or Moon yet (the last thing I needed when I had assignments due was a new Pokemon game for procrastinating ass) but so far I really like:
Bewear, Decidueye, Oricorio (All the forms that isn't the pink one), Lycanroc (Midnight), Mudsdale, Oranguru, Primarina, Both box legends & Pheromosa.

Marry Hinoka to Silas and have Sophie be a Falcon Knight; Hinoka as a Paladin and Silas as a Hero
-
I want Conquest (terms of level design) with access to grinding that isn't exclusively DLC.
-
Fates easily, both games have similar mechanics but Fates does everything better than Awakening.
-
Xander x F!Corrin
Arthur x Azura
Niles x Camilla
Laslow x Charlotte
Odin x Elise
This is my canon and I'm sticking with it.
Maybe it's because I've reading translations of the Nohr Drama Cd's; but shout out to Charlotte x F!Corrin (even M!Corrin).
-
Kaze x F!Corrin- It felt wrong not S-Supporting them on this route.
Oboro x M!Corrin- I love the development Oboro gets.
Saizo x Sakura- I like their supports and the fact it's somewhat Sasuke x Sakura.
Silas x Hinoka- I wish her supports with Xander were more like this honestly and the Sophie they produce is amazing and Sophie looks good with Hinoka red hair.
Hayato x Orochi- Mainly because I like the Rhajat they produce.

Sumia mistaking a punch for a slap (as much as I enjoyed seeing Chrom get punched in the face), I was convinced she was mentally challenged at that moment.
-
And it's characters like Reina (or any Avatar only ones) is the reason why I don't like limited support options. Also, why can't she have supports with the Hoshido royals? Still not as outrageous as some of Awakening's Avatar only support's (*cough Emmeryn *cough*).
-
Donnel because the villager class is terrible.
Female Robin because of Galeforce for Morgan, it also helps that she is a fantastic unit in any class.
Olivia because of Galeforce for Indigo and I found myself doing just fine without a dancer so I never bother reclassing back.
-
I know what my in-game team is going to be:
Decidueye
Muk (Aloan)
Lycanroc (Midnight)
Oricorio (Cheerleader)
Milotic*
Bewear
*Only if the way to evolve it is raising it's beauty like in ORAS (they made it so much easier in the remakes).

The way child growth works is: (Variable parent’s growth rates + Child’s growth rates) / 2 + Class growth rates.
Kana's sibling has the benefit of having Corrin's growth rates applied to them.
This website is very helpful: https://inheritance-planner.herokuapp.com/
I hate Kana's personal skill because re-classing is Kana's best friend. A lot more thought needs to be put into selecting your Avatar's Boon/Bane.
From my experience, Male Kana has been an Swordmaster with Xander as his father. Female Kana has been an amazing Hero with Charlotte as her mother and an amazing Basara with Oboro as the mother.

This is on Hard:
Chapter 4/5 before the choice.
Not once on Birthright.
Chapter 21 on Conquest. Chapter 10/12/18 were close calls. Seigbert's Chapter was also a close call, as well as Ignatius'.
Chapter 19 on Revelation, only because I've missed read the mission objective as two separate objectives instead of escape or defeat boss within 20 turns.
Oh the weather outside is frightful... But Awakening and a warm kitty is so delightful....
in Far from the Forest...
