  1. I'd see if there are any internships you're interested in. A good internship can be as good as, or even better than, a college degree. My family had me doing a grown man's work when I was seven, so I don't have a lot of experience with not being experienced as a worker. I wish you the best of luck, though!

  3. My dear lady Clarine, If you wish to alleviate your boredom, it might be a good idea to involve more people in your life. "Fun is twice as fun with someone to share", as they say. You might not be in a position where you are exposed to many among the common masses, but through the power of the internet, you can still form excellent relationships with interesting people. For instance, I would be willing to converse with you on a face-to-face (via Skype or such) basis, or through email, or something else along those lines. I'm sure others would too. There's also online gaming. Since you like Mario Kart and Smash, you have something in common with a lot of the people here and playing a round or two would be a great way to get closer. I know that you don't like associating with all of us low-class peons, but someday it will be necessary. There has never been someone who was truly happy living life alone. Even serious introverts usually have people they really enjoy being around. I'm sorry if this displeases you, but I'll give you the facts straight: you won't be very happy any other way. You can't buy love, and that's what makes it so special. Now, in order to do this, you are going to have to get better at caring about others. I'm not saying you need to pretend to be somebody else, but you can be sympathetic without compromising your personality. I know this is hard for you, but frankly, you will need to do this sometime. You can't stay this way your entire life. Someday, you'll have to take care of yourself, and the friendlier you are able to be to others, the easier it will be for you. I'm sorry if this sounds like a lecture. I truly do have the most sincere intentions. I think behind your slightly narcissistic and superior attitude, you're probably a really sweet person. I'm sure that opening up seems uncomfortable, maybe even dangerous to you. But everybody who ever enjoyed their life had to do difficult things in order to do so, and you, despite being the most important person in the entire world, are no different from the rest of us in that regard. I pray you see the truth of my words. Don't worry, my robot friend Astolfo! In the OP, I said that anyone else could comment with their own advice, and I'm glad that you are doing just that! And I'm actually not much of an expert when it comes to giving advice, so I need all of the help I can get.
  4. Wow, @Astolfo!, not cool! Picking on humans... what gives you the right? Please, Clarine, don't listen to his/her/its robotic ramblings. We all know that you are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Way to be superior, girl! In all seriousness, I still have some questions for milady. 141: If you had to choose between living out a boring, apathetic life at the top of your ivory tower or an exciting, purposeful life among the common masses, which would you choose? 142: Has anybody other than Astolfo! preached at you about your interesting lifestyle? 143: If you were the only woman left in the world, would you forego your dislike of mating in order to preserve the human race? 144: Are you prone to any particular maladies? 145: What is your favorite instrument? 146: What aspects of a fantasy story do you find most amusing? 147: What is your opinion of Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII? 148: What is your opinion of Roman Numerals? 149: Besides Nintendo, what is your favorite video game developer? 150: Would you consider yourself completely inflexible, or do you change your mind about some things?

  6. 121: How long could you survive alone on an uncharted island, Robinson Crusoe style? 122: Do you like poetry? 123: Can you waltz? 124: What is your favorite past English monarch? 125: Do you ever have tea with anybody, or are you always alone? 126: If somebody were to ever equal you in greatness, would you see them as a rival or as someone worthy of your company? 127: Would you consider your house to be a mansion? 128: Was your personal glory inherited or acquired some other way? 129: What, if anything, would make you a lesser individual in your own eyes? 130: What do you think @Astolfo!'s gender really is?
  7. 111: What inspired you to begin talking the way that you do? 112: Do you primarily gamble online, or in person? 113: Do you prefer gallant gentry to normal guys? 114: What is your favorite body of water to spend time in or around (i.e. pool, lake, ocean, bathtub, river etc.)? 115: Is your belief in your own superiority based on an egotistical philosophy, or do you simply believe that you are a better person than others due to other merits? 116: If I were to consider myself superior to you (which of course I would never do, your graciousness) how would you treat me differently? 117: Have you ever played with Legos? 118: What is one redeeming quality about your brother? 119: What is your opinion of religious people? 120: Is your "help" more comparable to a butler/maid or a more modern type of service worker (i.e. caretaker)? Distant Worlds is a Final Fantasy concert series. There are 4 CDs so far. I would strongly recommend it if you like Final Fantasy music. They are all very well orchestrated and such.

  9. For all the issues I have with Awakening and all of the things I think it could have done better, you might would think I hated it... ...but according to my 3DS, I've spent nearly 300 hours playing it in the past year. I wouldn't do that if I didn't enjoy it.
  10. 91: Do you like being in charge? 92: Are you any good at being in charge? 93: What's your favorite flower? 94: Do you like any ethnic foods? 95: If somebody were to want to earn your trust, how would he/she be best served in doing so? 96: Have you ever been in a fight with someone, physically? 97: When you are serious about something, do you raise your voice or lower it? 98: Do you accompany your speech with gestures? 99: What is your favorite realm in Kingdom Hearts? 100: How has your opinion of me changed over the past 100 questions? Thanks for the soundtrack, by the way. I didn't know World of Final Fantasy had an original score.
  11. Currently, I suck at both. If I had to be better at one or the other, it'd be reflexes.
  12. Okay, so angels are not typical Fire Emblem material. This would be a decent story for another game, but Fire Emblem has a distinct set of themes and species that give it its own unique character. By including a magic gemstone and shapeshifters, you were on the right track. If you could turn the angels into dragons, this would fit in a little better with the rest of the series. You aren't planned on putting all of this into a single prologue, right? This is the kind of backstory that's best figured out over time instead of all at the beginning. Also, the arc about Leoppold being forced to have child by another female... this is kind of risky. Not inherently bad, just risky. That basically means that if people like the rest of the story, then when they learn about that part they'll feel fairly comfortable with it. However, if people don't like the rest of the story, or if it comes before they have a chance to like the story, then it will seem weird and uncomfortable. As with all things of slightly more mature nature, you would also need to handle the writing very carefully. Basic RPG storytelling advice: The most important parts are the beginning and the end. Make the beginning unique and exciting and make the ending surprising and fulfilling, and people will be willing to overlook a lot of mistakes in the middle. That is, if they can complete the game. Sorry if I'm getting on your nerves. I spend a lot of time studying this kind of thing, and from what I've seen so far, your story actually shows a lot of promise. This is just some advice from someone who considers themselves to be a minor professional at things like this. Don't let my critiques get you down. One thing I'm really liking is your worldbuilding. Does the continent have a name yet? It looks interesting and full of potential. Whether or not that potential is realized would be dependent on how well the script would be written, but since you might never actually write a script for this, it looks good enough to me. It puts some real-life Fire Emblem game worlds to shame already (I'm looking at you, Hoshido-Nohr-Vallalala).
  13. I'm back! 81: What is your opinion of seafood? 82: Which American state sounds the most interesting to you? 83: Do you ever watch Disney movies? 84: Since you don't seem to be romantically inclined, what do you think of poetry or art that features love as a primary theme? 85: What is the most beautiful thing you have ever seen? 86: What is your favorite kind of bread? 87: Do you believe that you will ever be famous? 88: What is your vocal range? 89: Are you shy around strangers? 90: What is your favorite Final Fantasy soundtrack?
  14. I've never suffered a major case of depression, but I have a dear friend who has. While I didn't know much about the causes or cures, I eventually figured out one thing that I could do that could help: talk. Listening to a depressed person can be an awkward and confusing experience, but ultimately it can be an incredible way to help them let out whatever emotions are pent up inside. I know that worked for my friend, at least. I used to assume that I could understand how a depressed person felt, but now I know how untrue that is. From what I hear, even people who have dealt with depression in the past are unable to completely understand another person's depression. Nobody should make assumptions based off of how they would feel in such a situation, everybody reacts in a unique way. So if you suffer from depression, don't be afraid to open up to a friend. And if you know someone who struggles with it, try to be there for them to have someone to open up to. These forums are one, albeit second-hand, way to do that.
  15. Yeah, it's 10:20 P.M. where I'm at so this is it for tonight. 71: Do you have any pet peeves about society? 72: What's your favorite Zelda game? 73: What's your opinion of Final Fantasy IX? 74: In an ideal world, would more people understand you? 75: What, if anything, tends to make you laugh the most? 76: Have you ever had sweet tea before? 77: Have you ever tried speaking like a commoner? 78: How much would you be willing to sacrifice to save a random person's life? 79: Do you tend to follow your head or your heart? 80: When do you usually turn in for the night? 17. You've got my attention. It's an interesting opening. Slavery has never been heavily touched on in a Fire Emblem game but if you can find a way to reconcile it with a medieval fantasy setting, then I think you could have something good going. Judas is a pretty well-known traitor name. Unless you are intentionally throwing subtlety out the window, you might want to stick with something less revealing. Also, an interesting plot point to throw in would be if the whole power burst thing looked like an accident. That way, no one would know that the conspirators were evil and the princess (with a convenient yet explainable memory lapse) would feel guilty for causing their deaths whenever she gets out of her coma. These are just some of my observations though. You have an interesting premise and I personally look forward to seeing where it goes.
  18. 51: Could you be considered a "homebody"? 52: Is there anybody in the world that you greatly respect? 53: Are you in any way health-conscious? 54: Do you tend to enjoy being the center of attention, or does it make you feel awkward? 55: Do you have any hobbies that don't involve computers or electronics? 56: To what degree do you invest yourself into your own beautification? 57: Do you ever feel lonely? 58: Do you read books? 59: Are you a morning person or a night owl? 60: How does it feel to be interviewed?

  22. I assume that they are tired of the conversation and want to go to bed. After all, that's what I do to people who text me when I'm sleepy.
  23. One more question, actually. 21: Do you recognize this person?
