  1. Back on topic, it seems that the Yatogami (I refuse to call it just Yato) has a different glow depending on his promoted class. Do you think it's due an enchantment of the sword through the story or a reflection of the class? What would be the sword color and Avatar class in the third route?
  2. New option for prisoners: "Feed the monster"
  3. Maybe they're saving most traditional names for the third route, or by some sort of communication with the Awakening save data.
  4. Interesting idea. That would make nice use of the My Castle feature if they introduce a Training grounds building. And I certainly hope I get to rename them as well.
  5. Has anyone wondered if generic characters will have personal skills when recruited from their prisons?
  6. What I meant is that Silas must be beaten by Kamui himself. If Kaze, Felicia or anybody else beats him, he might be definitively killed (not likely in this case, but an option nevertheless).
  7. There's something we still don't know about Silas recruitment. Does he get recruited anyway or must he be fought and beaten by Kamui to be recruited? It wouldn't be the first time this happens (like Shinon in PoR).
  8. Well, there should be some flexibility to it, like each character having three partners to get double offspring with and seven or eight to get only one. That's called replayability and completionism. Many games nowadays have unlockables that are hard to get and nobody seems too annoyed about it. You still have the freedom, but you can choose between two characters with limited options (each getting a personal class and those of his/her other parent) but with a strong bond to each other with a unique class skill (so that they still have their personal skill and can take that out if you happen to bench just one of the siblings) that provides them with a boost when fighting along their sibling, or one character with many more options (a personal class plus both parents' classes) but without a sibling to boost them.
  9. I demand a "LIKE" button for that comment. I don't learn many things lately. At least not in things I actually enjoy learning...
  10. I think it'd be nice that one gender characters (namely the main character's) always had children, and the other gender characters would have an additional child with specific partners, adding some pseudo-canon value, while keeping some of the "sim" freedom. For example, Oboro and Ryouma get only Ryouma's kid with a male Avatar and Oboro's with a female one, while Oboro and Takumi would get both regardless the Avatar's gender. Sadly, I don't think it will be like this in this game.
  11. I guess that's called "save before choosing side, then save in another slot". It must be something like jumping right to Eliwood/Hector stories in FE7. I completely agree with the fact that the Japanese names should be left alone and Kamui should keep Kamui as default. I think that's somehow mistranslated, being a more logical "I cut ties with my past" the actual meaning of the sentence. It'd be more like "Nowadays I hang around with a new group of people, but thanks for passing by".
  12. I just hope they allow cross territorial communication. It's something they should have done for Awakening as an update (like they do with pokemon) once the Spotpass chapters were out for every region (to avoid spoilers if that was their main issue).
  13. Well, you may use your cartridge to activate the Streetpass in their 3ds, so you can visit your own castle, in case it doesn't reset your game (it usually doesn't). You won't have access to dlc on you send visits, since that's locked to a system, but still, you'll be getting Streetpasses, and once you get the opposing faction dlc, you'll be streetpassing the other castle.
  14. Prisons might be a sort of money maker. In Berwick Saga you have a prison where you take captured enemies, and you have the choice to let them go for a ransom. You can also recruit one of the prisoners eventually. You also have to capture some enemies in Thraccia to recruit them or trigger special features (extra maps and that sort of things).
  15. Since in Awakening cross territorial Streetpass used to put random characters and teams against you and only regional Streetpass would show their actual characters/teams, I wonder how they'll manage it this time. Since I have an American 3DS living in Europe, it's quite an issue for me seeing the same names over and over.
  16. I think the blue haired maid might be Aqua retainer and the scene where both maids appear takes place at the choice map, both of them waking you up at once and telling you to go to Aqua just before the cinematic. On the other hand, I think Gunter has a fatherly attitude towards Kamui, like if he had been neglected by the king of Nohr, being that the reason to stick to him afterwards.
  17. I don't see the relationship between the length of the Plegian war and the speed of Walhart's conquest.
  18. I would only put Counter on offensive melee characters (not tanks), and mostly with other skills that trigger on enemy death (Lifetaker, Galeforce) that would benefit from extra damage dealt to the enemy by himself to kill those pests that have the myfavouriteweapon-breaker. They'd hit me almost for sure, and they'd suffer for it.
  19. But it would be overlapping with the war with Valm, since Walhart had already taken several countries on the other continent by the time Emmeryn was assassinated in the original timeline. The proof is that Virion was in Ylisse from the start, which means Walhart was moving and he isn't the kind of man who would wait for a war to end and the countries heal their wounds to take them. What I mean is that it wouldn't matter when or how long took the Plegian war in the original timeline, since the Valmese army would land at Regna Ferox at the same time in both timelines. Sounds plausible to me.
  20. They think that being killed by counter and granting you no exp is a good revenge...
  21. I made Fred!Yarne, and he's a great tank. He cannot be a true sweeper without Galeforce, but with Pavise(inherited)+Aegis(learnt later) he is like a wall from the very moment I recruited him (since he starts as a taguel, he has promoted caps). His classes don't overlap either.
  22. What I meant is that if a character would receive little to no damage, having Counter is not a goov investment, since the enemy would be dealt about the same damage you'd have dealt with some other passive skill. Donnel!Nah as a manakete tank should get LB, AS+2, Sol and a couple of breaker skills or Wyrmsbane to counter other streetpass manaketes or destroy wyvern riders (dealing them way more damage than Counter).
  23. I agree with Raimi being recruitable and Phila coming back from the death like all the others. I also miss the true soldier class with its upgrade.
  24. You should NEVER place Counter on a tank. If the tank gets little to no damage, the enemy will barely get damaged, and if the enemy gets a decent amount of damage, your unit would be severely damaged for it and would eventually fall to numbers.
