  1. I think some people are missing that Galeforce on a male unit is waaaaay stronger tahn on a female one if you get access to a certain DLC map, since males can access the Dread Fighter, giving the Aggresor skill, which will give them a great boost of power when needed to activate Galeforce. They won't get the bonus during the enemy phase, but you don't really care about it since you should be playing in an aggresive way more than in a defensive one. It's not just the skill, but how you combine it that counts. A great skillset for a melee ofensive unit could be: Agressor: since you'll be attacking with it to kill things fast. Counter: since you attack physically, your enemy will suffer reflected damage. Ignis/Luna: damage increaser. I'd pick Ignis over Luna since you'll usually be able to make more damage (it's easier to make your strength/magic stay high than look for enemy tanks to deal additional damage). Lifetaker: recovers dagame taken after taking down an enemy, which is what this build is intended to do. Galeforce: kill two for the price of one... This is with the available skills at the moment. Eventually you may want to switch Counter and Lifetaker with Limit Break and a weapon faire skill to rely less on the enemy accuracy.
  2. Why nobody said "Gregor smash". Gregor thinks it's cool, yes?
  3. It's the perfect skill to advance your slow moving tanks if you pair them up with units with great mobility. The galeforcers kill an already damaged enemy and on their re-move they switch to the tank once they have been placed in a better position. If you only have tanks you'll be moving slowly, very slowly, and getting into position can take you for ever. Passing it down to male characters can allow you to get different builds that can be useful in certain situations. Characters with higher mobility usually give bonuses to speed, so you won't be needing speed ralliers so much. And about the Dark Flyer class, I found both Lissa and Maribelle amazing in that class, they have mobility AND power. And Lissa was a DF by the time at the time of the fight with Gangrel, and she kicked ass, like so did Maribelle later on. Any magical character that can ride a pegasus can be a great DF. If you had to stick with the characters staying in the same class, there would be no reclassing system to start with.
  4. Pretty much the same than Morgan. As a matter of fact, you can consider them twins.
  5. Inigo won't get Aether ever. He can't reclass to the Lord tier and will always inherit Rightful King (Royal Weapon in the Japanese version). Don't try to pass down Vantage to Morgan, since he'll get it automatically from the start. Since his father is Lon'qu, he'll start as a level 10 Myrmidon, thus having Vantage as a starter skill. You should pass down Astra, Lethality or Swordfaire. For Cynthia I'd pass down Aegis instead of Pavise, it will help her more since she's a Pegasus. Still Pavise is a solid choice. Good choice in this one. Passing down Armsthrift is never a good idea, since Owain shall be able to get it just upon reclassing. Just after recruiting him, give him a second seal to reclass him as a Merc, and to give him Aptitude you can reclass him as a Villager (but give him a bronze lance). I'd pass down one of the promoted skills, like Sol or a breaker skill. Solid choice here. I'd be thinking about Dual Support+ for him, though. I don't think HR+20 is that much needed. Tome/Bowbreaker would be nicer on her. Good combination of skills. Pretty solid I'd have Yarne inherit Lancebreaker instead of Beastbane, since he's only 5 levels away to get it on his own. Cherche cannot learn Wyrmsbane, that's a Manakete skill. Vaike cannot learn Armsthrift, since he cannot reclass to Merc. I'd pass down Dual Support+ from Cherche and Axefaire from Vaike. Severa always has Armsthrift, choose a different skill for her from her mother. Lifetaker is a nice choice, but I'd also think about Renewal. Once again Armsthrift is one reclass away for Nah. I don't know what you're doing with Nowi though. She doesn't have those choices for reclassing, just the wyvern rider and mage tiers. Anna starts as a level 1 Trickster with all the Thief skills Gerome and Severa are in the right places.
  6. You can combo Counter+Vengeance+Lifetaker and attack melee when possible. If you get hit the enemy's dealt damage and you deal extra damage on the second strike. Then you recover half of you max HP for killing the foe. If you add Galeforce to the lot, she can take down two enemies or retreat/switch behind one of your tanks (like Kjelle with Pavise+Aegis, mine also has Sol and Armsthrift thanks to daddy Gregor).
  7. I see many people say that Dark Knights/Flyers should be able to use dark magic, but the way I see it, they cannot use it due to game balance. Only four promoted units have only one weapon type to use, and to make you want to use them (when you have the skillset you want) they were given exclusive weapons subtypes (except the Berserker, I wonder what his advantage is). Swordmasters get katanas (Amatsu and Sol Katti), Snipers get longbows (Longbow, Towering and Double Bow) and Sorceres get dark magic. I think there should be some Zerker-only axes and skills to use the class-limited weapons open to all (some way to get them, even if it was through DLC). This way to have your characters in other classes to use special weapons you'd have to sacrifice a skill. I also miss the soldier class tier, which by the way should have access to an exclusive set of lances, and more types of katanas (like the Wo Dao for a lower sword rank).
  8. Head directly for Galeforce when training Morgan, after that Galeforce is more useful than Veteran (at least with the EXP DLC). Inigo should try to get all the breaker skills eventually (he can get all but magic), and switch them depending on the map.
  9. I just love when enemies activate their skills... and miss the target XD That's just a big lol
  10. Well, Gregor can get Armsthrift, Vantage, Wrath, Patience and Sol to be used as a tank. He'll counter with extra critical and has the chance to recover to withstand the next one, and he'll strike first the next one if he doesn't recover. It's a risky strategy, though. On the other hand, if you don't have the Golden Gaffe DLC, Despoil and Leif's Sword (used by Donny) are your best way to grind money in higher difficulties (in easy mode you can just buy Freaking Reeking Boxes). Donny got 6 Bullions in a map without wasting a sword use...
  11. Then don't try Lunatic+ in case you face enemies with Hawkeye. I think a balanced army has to have characters that cover all types of roles to adapt to any situation, and having a couple of tanks doesn't hurt, even if they're not in your main lineup. And with the Pair-Up system you can actually have strong units and switch the front character depending on the needs.
  12. Without DLC's you should start by turning characters to barbarians to get them Despoil (Vaike, Gregor and Male Avatar). That can win you great amounts of gold. Turn Donnel to Mercenary for Armsthrift and give him a Leif's sword for the same reason (with Armsthrift the Leif's Sword should last you long enough to have grinded like 15 bullions). If you get a War Cleric/Priest (Lissa, Maribelle or Libra) you can Rally Luck for greater chances. Other than that, normal mode and grinding will make it easy enough. EDIT: I forgot Reeking boxes are way cheaper in easy, so you can get great profit from using them.
  13. For the General I'd use a heavy tank set: Pavise and Aegis (obvious choice), Sol, Vantage and Wrath.
  14. Pairing them with a berserker or a general (to have higher offense or defense) can get them to improve their lance rank to be able to use the shockstick. However, after they promote they should stick to tomes and wreck havoc with them.
  15. If only there was one more option of customization with the clothes/armor color...
  16. I'd pass Dual Support+. It can make the unit able to combat with anyone as his partner, even if they cannot support each other. If you combine it with Deliverer and the combo Defender-Dual Guard+ from the cavalier tier (classs inherited from Frederick, Stahl or Ricken), and you'd have a great Pair-Up character, which only Kjelle (pairing Sully with Donnel, Gregor or Henry), Laurent (with the same possible fathers as Gerome), Brady and Owain (the last two missing the allmighty Galeforce) can achieve without being the Avatar's kid.
  17. the thing is that DF are male-only and DP are female only, so they can't really be compared.
  18. I got this little doubt recently. Let's say you have a Lightning Speed character (a Dark Pegasus, to make things easier) kill an enemy and move again doing whatever he has to (attacking, healing, retreating...), and the you use dance on her, and kill another enemy. Would her Lightning Speed activate again? Also, how would the dance affect characters in Double? Would both be able to use the tri-attack again (both with LS, so that they can kill, switch, kill, attack again)?
  19. I've just seen the guide, and the one pairing I missed is Briggid-Noish. Using your valoration system: Based on my personal experience when I made this pairing, Faval was quite a hitter from the start, taking down Ishtar with a single Steel Bow shot (not like I'd be able to repeat it but still...), and he was also the one that had to endure Yurius first attack during chapter 10, resisting and striking back with decent power (I don't remember if he even landed a critical with the Ichival, wich would mean 40-42 damage since his STR was capped or close to).
  20. I understood the opposite, that SP!Ike couldn't get DLC!Ike's skillset. However, SP!Marth gets some skills DLC!Marth cannot get (making the DLC version inferior from my point of view, I'll explain in the spoiler), and Ephraim trades one unique skill for another, making them different.
  21. http://fireemblemwod.net/fe12/mi-unidad.htm Roll to the end of the page and place the cursor over the portraits to see them change
  22. There's only one different skill between both versions and it's not actually unique (at least for what the web says)
  23. Interesting the perfect miracle setup, but there's this little problem: Mark can't get Royal weapon unless he's Krom's descendant.
