  1. Can somebody check the Morgan-self conversation in Future Past? I'm afraid I have the female Morgan instead of the male one.
  2. I use Donny with his forged Glass Bow with Armsthrift and All Stats+2 and it doesn't seem to break neither on the front or on the back.
  3. No, switch them as needed to keep them both at similar levels (or at least getting similar stats if one gets blessed and the other doesn't). Having two strong characters supporting each other grants you more benefits (higher bonuses, the supporting character can deal greater damage and the most important, if the front one gets severy injured and you cannot heal him right away, you can always switch to the other one to take him to safety). You don't really need Frederick to beat the first five maps on HM, since you can pair up from the start. To beat the first chapters you just have to follow the instructions in easy, pair up any two characters in hard and pair up Fred with someone else and pray in Lunatic...
  4. It was fast and I didn't double check everything, but now that you mention it, it happens in quite a lot of places. I didn't lock some cells in both ways (some of the ones that pointed the weapon type), that was the problem. I've fixed that. I'm uploading now. http://sdrv.ms/104RrVg About the drop down lists, you'd better check this: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/create-a-drop-down-list-HA102809802.aspx?CTT=1
  5. Except Miriel if Laurent doesn't have access to the Priest class, since she should be passing Renewal. It's like Gaius and Sol. If his daughter won't be able to learn Sol herself, he should pass it down.
  6. Having all breaker skills isn't that useful. The enemy only needs one (or a superior weapon) to make you be unskilled. One or two breaker skills is OK, more is just meh.
  7. That's the problem. They usually are close enough to other characters to make you wish you had more Galeforcers to kill them all. You either get into trap killing the Kamicounter ending surrounded by enemies or you kill the other enemies leaving you as an easy target for the Kamicounter, and you cannot always have a Bow ready for all the characters involved in the frey.
  8. You may have a look here: https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=62AE8ADE5D2E7210!975&authkey=!AB38BBQUAJARpLk It doesn't look very dashing but it's ok. I used the HM Dread Lords from chapter 22 as test subjects and used the average damage they're dealt. I used 99 damage as the damage output for Lethalilty and finally didn't factor critical, double strikes or hit rate. There are two vengeance, one that factors the damage you decide, and the other the damage you'd take from a normal hit from the enemy.
  9. If you can deal great damage with Astra, so can you with Sol, and critical hits would benefit any of tha skills, not only Astra.
  10. Number of hits isn't important when you want to know which skill is best. If you get to attack twice, you'd deal twice as much damage, but it won't affect which skill is better for a given character. It's very important in game, but not at all to choose the best skill for a character. I'm quite good with Excel, at least good enough for my boss to ask me to do certain tasks. I'll make some things to show you what I mean, but it may take me some time.
  11. Chrom/OliviaLucina: She'll have good caps and access to Galeforce. She doesn't really need more than that to be good. Use her like you would with Chrom but add Galeforce to her skillset. Inigo: He can get Aegis and Luna from his father's classes and inherit Rightful King, which is very useful. I'd have him with Galeforce+Aegis+RK+Armsthrift (with RK it will hit a 100% chance and he'd get a Fake Falchion as a forged Wyrmslayer which wouldn't wear out)+Sol or Luna (depending on a more defensive or offensive character). Avatar/Nowi Morgan and Nah shall be basically the same: overpowered Manaketes with Galeforce. Lissa/Vaike Owain: He gets his highest possible strength and access to Sol and Acrobat. A nice match. Maribelle/Henry Brady: He'll get the Sorcerer class and good modifiers for a magical class. Good match, Counter+Vengeance as a Sorcerer (to use Nosferatu, too risky otherwise) will take out most enemies, just attack at melee distance. Or give him Galeforce (inherited) and Lifetaker to use a full sweeper combination with any magical class (his physical modifiers suck). Sully/Donnel Kjelle: Donnel passes down the classes Kjelle is missing, so she'll get access to Sol, Armsthrift and Galeforce. Good one, but Kjelle as a tank doesn't really need Galeforce, with Aegis+Pavise+Sol she'd have all she really needs. Sumia/Frederick Cynthia: She gets two breaker skills and the Aegis+Pavise+Renewal combo. She may tank just as well as Fred would, but Kjelle can tank better just beacause of Sol. Give her Luna, Galeforce and Aegis and let her strike as a Falcoknight. Cordelia/Lon'qu Severa: She'll be one of the fastest characters you can get. Her best skillset is inherited from her mother (aside from the chance of using any breaker skill). Cherche/Gregor Gerome: He'll be very strong and has access to Sol and Armsthrift. Panne/Stahl Yarne: He has great modifiers and access to Luna and Aegis. THey make a good pairing. Miriel/Ricken Laurent: He'll be great with magic and has access to Luna and Aegis. Bowbreaker doesn't hurt either. Tharja/Gaius Noire: She has access to Galeforce and a good set of skills (Pavise, Pass if you choose to use her as a Sniper, Luna and can inherit Sol). Plus Tharja/Gaius support is very funny.
  12. Sol's winning because it can save your life. I'd say you should go Sol>Luna>Astra. Sol is used mostly for enemy turn by tanks, while Luna and Astra are skills for sweepers, where Astra is better against enemies with lower defense/resistance and Luna when enemies have higher numbers there.
  13. Answer is simple: PHO-TO-SHOP. Lucina is Sumia's daughter and Owain is Frederick's son (check the capped stats). His hair color is just taken from a blue-haired Avatar or plainly by painting his hair blue. The family signs are obviously photoshopped.
  14. Yeah, but Nah can pretty much go with Gaius, since you can just buy Dragonstones+ for Nah about anytime (you can get them from Spotpass Tiki), and as a Manakete you can have her own the map. She'll be faster, have lower defense (the stone modifiers), but she can inherit Sol anyway. I should know this, since it's one of the first pairings I chose (I mean with Donnel actually, and was missing the Armsthrift on Noire). For Kjelle I'd use Vaike (I used Gregor last time), for a tank she'd have a great father. She has everything she needs from her natural classes (Aegis+Pavise), and the merc tier gets her the other two skills she needs (Armsthrift+Sol). Gregor could hand down the class to get Renewal, but I think he's more useful as a boy's father. I'd say that, leaving Avatar aside, Vaike, Donnel and Gaius are best as used as fathers for girls since they'd pass down better classes (merc and pegasus tiers). Gregor-Sully support was fun with Sully losing everytime they faced each other and getting more and more upset, just like her daughter with Gerome (overly competitive feminist girl being continuously outwitted by a male companion).
  15. While it looks quite all right, but it takes an approach to the skills counting with the enemy's stats. You should take several posible enemie, and take only enemy defense and avoid and ally damage output (STR/MGC and weapon might) and hit rate. Number of hits isn't important. You could also value the critical hit rate, and measure average and max damage output. There are many other factors to see which is better, but activation rate is a major factor. Not factoring criticals, the formula for the average damage would be: AvDam=(1-Activation)*RegDam+Activation*SklDamage For each skill, this would mean: Astra: AvDam=0.75*40+0.25*100=55 Ignis: AvDam=0.50*40+0.50*63=51.5~51 Luna: AvDam=0.50*40+0.50*50=45 Vengeance: AvDam=1.00*65=65 Aether: AvDam=0.75*40+0.25*90=52.5~52 This doesn't factor however the ally's HP, since Vengeance leaves you with max 40HP (assuming you have the skill HP+5 and using a temporary boost), and Aether recovers 20 each time it triggers.
  16. I'm from Spain, and the only name I know for sure I'd get pressure to name my son would be from my father to be named after him, but I don't want a son of mine having the same name as my father and me. If he wants a grandson with his name he'll have to deal with my brother and sister .
  17. Cordelia's second dialogue involved some romantic ambushes. I won't spoil more, but it's obvious that their conversation would differ a lot from the non-married conversation.
  18. Holy cow.... None of my friends (botha male and female) like that name, nor Aurora or Diana (my other choices) either.
  19. I live in Spain, and I still need to know if I'd be free on some dates. However, if there were quite a few people attending I might be tempted to go.
  20. Donnel appears too soon to be an Est, unless you wait a lot of chapters to get him... The same for kids.
  21. Why would you have him as a sniper when he could be a bow knight and keep hold of the Falchion and still use bows? For other characters being able to use longbows may be an asset (specially forged when in combination with Armsthrift), but I think Chrom loses more than what he gains, the regular Falchion is quite good, but the Exalted shouldn't be missed.
  22. I think the faire skills should offer a bit more. I'd make them look like this: Swordfaire: +5 STR/MGC, can counter at range 2 (only counter, not attack) Lancefaire: +5 STR/MGC, gets an additional strike when attacked at range 1 (the attacks would be [enemy-lancer-lancer-second strike of the fastest one], or [lancer-enemy-lancer-second strike] if used with Vantage) Axefaire: +5 STR/MGC, critical hits deal more damage (damage x4 instead of x3 on critical hits) Bowfaire: +5 STR/MGC, can counter at range 1 (only counter) Tomefaire: +5 STR/MGC, adds tome might to defense The reason to increase the bonuses is that I think that Level 15 skills shouldn't be outclassed so easily by DLC skills (All stats+2 and later Limit Break). This way you'd want to have this skills in your set. I didn't even care about them without the DLC skills since I found them too weak for a level 15 skill. I find the +5 damage with one weapon type is even worse than STR+2 on a character with two weapon types, which are actually all of them. The extra bonuses I gave the weapons, either grants them a significant boost (lance and axe) or nullifies one of their weaknesses (sword and bow range).
  23. Ariadne. That's how I'd call my daughter if I had one, or at least the name I'd start bargaining with her mother (by own experience I know it can be difficult to get a namme for a kid, that's how I ended having two).
