  1. I did do a partial run of FE7 randomized until the data got corrupted. But I also did a character randomizer on top of that, so lyn's prologue played the same mostly, but with a few alterations. Also I didn't check growths at all because I just went with it. Also I did this long ago so can't remember some of it. So Lyn (who later became Heath) was a Dark Mage Kent (forgot who he turned into) was a Mage Sain (also forgot who he turned into) was a Cleric Will (again forgot) was a Wyvern Rider Florina was a Lord (Lyn) (and was later Sain) Dorcas was a dancer Serra (who was Lucius I think) was a archer Erk (who was immediately Geitz) was a General (yeah, I had a general in Lyn's prologue) Matthew (who was Rebecca) was a thief Nils was Nils and a Mercenary Wallace (think he was himself?) and was a great lord (hector, but he sucked) Now when I started Eliwoods tale, Eliwood was a cavalier, I forget most everyone else except Canas who replaced Jaffar was a promoted Cleric, Hawkeye joined his normal time but was a lord (lyn) Sain later override Florina and was A Lyn Lord, Geitz was still in the same spot, Vaida replaced Isadora (I think) and was still a Paladin, I know I had 2-3 other dancers/bards, but most everyone I didn't use as animations didn't work or they were not so good. I should probably go retry it one day but after getting to Jaffar/Nino's chapter I gave up and when I went back it was corrupted.
  2. So trading would be a great idea I think, at least getting units I don't have. But as Sproutling said, it won't work realistically unless the costs are drastic and limited units are available. But alongside trading, maybe a special hero shop could work. Now I'm saying that is could sell rare units, such as grand hero battle units, 5* only units, or special event banner units. But maybe at a cost of say 50 orbs or something, maybe even 20 orbs and 10k feathers (or whatever amount) and be on a cooldown of sorts, like it's only there for 1 sale a week. (Kinda like the secret sellers in awakening, pop up at random, and only have 3 rarish items and disappear afterwards) And maybe to help balance out the lack of orbs, they could implement a item trading system, like say 20 dueling crests for 1 orb or something (I would be willing to do that since I have over 100 dueling crests I don't use, maybe 3-5 on the very last day of a season if I feel like participating, which I do sometimes for the orbs and feathers) Or make it work with the new sacred coins that are only available on the top tier of arena and actually make players work towards it (though those would probably go to a sacred seal shop, which is a whole different idea entirely) I spend way too much time wishing/thinking for improvements in heroes that would benefit me.
  3. My Pokemon Ranger shadows of almia 100% playthrough being corrupted, it was also nostalgic to me, I cried for two days, then on the third I grabbed my ds and proceeded to get back to where I was within 2-3 days besides me not being max level. That was out of my hands, but also a sad moment for me was resetting over my very first pokemon game, which for anyone would be heartfelt. I did it as even with a level 100 I couldn't get past the first elite 4 member, and due to it knowing surf and me not being able to find the move deleter, he didn't get transferred (though on my heartgold, black, and somewhat white 2 files, I do ocasionally find mons that I transferred from that file, like my flareon and my Moltres) and he got deleted, looking back I was an idiot as he only knew water type moves, but I still have memories of my first starter and the journey to level 100 Blastoise.
  4. For me, it's Fire Emblem. As I still got games from some of my other favorite series in my backlog, Zeldas (hard to go back after the amazement breath of the wild is), God Eater (mostly due to time or me getting a new game for ps4 like Valkyria chronicles), Pokemon (I've beaten most of the games soon after they came out, but after I basically blitzed my way through Alpha sapphire in 2 days *overall, it was beaten that sunday of it's first weekend, but I blame school from preventing me from choosing my starter and my dad forcefully making me go to sleep that night even though I was at Flannery, that and the fact Saturday night I didn't feel like going any further as I was already at the elite 4's doorstep.* Sun took me months to beat as I've been falling out of the series, and I still got ultra beasts to catch, but beyond that, it's mainly me going back and playing some of the older pokemon titles like Yellow, Gold/Silver, Emerald, and trying to finish firered with a semi-decent team *My venusaur can't tank everything despite being over 10 levels higher, at least everyone else is almost mid to high fifties* but yeah, been having a falling out with pokemon and it's taken effect on me) beyond those main ones, probably would be some random games I picked up, like the bravely duo (have yet to start either) some platformers like Mario, Sonic, Mega-Man, and Shovel Knight, and me not starting any of the tales series (I know I know, that's basically a war crime, I do have plans on playing some, just need the time and motivation to) and other random games like finishing Xenoblade, Monster Hunter Generations, Rune Factory 4, Hyrule Warriors Legends, Project X Zone (so tedious compared to the sequel, though Haken and Kaguya have grown immensely on me, and I knew them before I played PXZ, speaking of which) Super Robot Taisen OG Saga endless frontier (gods what a mouthful) Pretty good rpg, only complaint is a bs enemy mechanic that drags out fights and the fact most battles are boss fight followed by boss fight followed by boss fight, and hence your leveling gets pretty under-leveled, I'm literally at a point where I need to grind levels and it'll take me so long to do so, so on hiatus from that.
  5. As said, I would use tier 4 units if they didn't remove the unique animations (Delthea needs to do her trademark pose and Alm needs to sheath his sword instead of stabbing it into the ground) Also I did not know they messed up the spell list, that's actually dumb, why not just have the spells currently on the character stay there and just add new ones?
  6. Nah, Erika has to be like "O rlly m8?" for me. Though that could fit
  7. I have a personal head-canon where Franz constantly shouts war crys at the beginning of the game "I AM FRANZ! DESTROYER OF WORLDS!!! BOOM HEADSHOT!" That last one is mostly due to his sprite animation either with swords or lances mostly hit enemies in the head area. Beyond that, the obvious Obsidianwasp reference of Lute being a MLG pro, and Amelia being the girl who slowly works up the ability to slaughter anything with an iron lance. (Mostly due to the fact I made Amelia a General and fully capped her in everything but res and I often just have her hold an entire side of the map)
  8. Female: Cordelia because well she's Cordelia. Male: I decided to go with Stahl, because he's probably one of the most normal looking guys and I kinda resemble him (both in appearance and personality)
  9. From what I've heard from many different sources (some on here, lots off here) Besides the games not being released in the west, both Genealogy and Thracia were released moreso towards the end of the SNES's lifetime, and with Thracia being a side story to Genealogy and also one of the hardest games, most fans skipped over it I think due to dying hardware, hard game, and only a mild expansion of the previous game. I could be wrong but I've heard all these things said about it. I have yet to play either so my opinion is very limited on them
  10. Wait, I thought hero merit was just for that one character even though there is duplicate heroes sharing the HM. Does this mean even though Reinhardts HM is max, since you got 2 of him you get double the hero merit?
  11. Looking back on it, Amelia is the hype of this banner for me, I love her design, a combination of her trainee design and her general design. And her C skill will make armor emblem more viable.
  12. My reaction: "Oh cool sacred stones it finally getting some love, now Eirika and Ephraim won't be alone in my army. Let's see Tana is on the cover so that's good, as she was the best flier in the game, man I sure would love it if Amelia was-Annnnd Amelia is confirmed and there goes my wallet, they even made her a general that's soo cool! Then we got Seth, another great pick, Next up is Innes, I never used him but he's a okay unit to add in besides Tana, and Tana of course looks great." So uh yeah, my wallet will be dead between this and CYL banner and of course the Halloween banner we all know we're getting.
  13. Well basing this off Hyrule Warriors Legends, this could imply that just like that game, some maps will have limited characters (maybe even required characters) so Solo unit maps, then pair units, then maybe 3 units, and 4 units for large maps
  14. Yeah, both answers would be more logical then 3 arms.
  15. Well then, I wasn't expecting this (despite how common monsters are in FE) Those do not look like any monsters we've had in any fire emblem game though I agree with there being two of them, however the one in the front is more then likely shielding with it's arms over it's face EDIT: Wait I see it, huh that is weird, the clipping could be possible or since it is a higher version of the grunt, it could have 3 arms, which is weird but possible.
  16. Crap this is true, plus the halloween banner we all know is coming. Though I thought the Lucina from tempest trials was the CYL version, though I could be wrong, well sorry Ninian/Julia/other Ikes, I need to save orbs for these alternate versions of characters I don't have (besides Ike and tempest Lucina)
  17. So I mini-whaled and only spent $25 on orbs, which with the one orb I had prior pushed me to 43 orbs. So I blue sniped on the swimsuit banner. Besides a bunch of 3 stars, there was a 4* Odin, 4* Oboro, and on the last summon (which was my last 6 orbs hoping for a single blue orb, and there was one) Pretty happy with it, well despite her IV's, -Atl/+Res, but at this point happy to have gotten my mandatory one exclusive of the special banners. Now all my orbs will go to the hero fest banner in hopes of Ninian or Julia, maybe more Ikes too.
  18. I actually did that on my first awakening Playthrough (which I dub my canon playthrough). It worked well with the best Pegasus Knight(and future Pegasus Knight Captain) pairing up with the Knight Captain. Plus Severa turned out really good and was able to keep up with the rest of my army despite her being under-leveled (I did like no second-sealing or planning of skill inheritance) I do plan on doing that pairing in a run in the future. I relate so much to Stahl though, he's basically me IRL, loves food, is kinda average at everything, has the same general hair style/problems, and based on multiple survey polls my Fire Emblem class would be Cavalier
  19. I got in on the amiibo train pretty late, I joined with wave 6 I think? Anyways I originally was only going for smash characters I liked/played, then it turned into me wanting to get the entire smash roster (only missing Bowser Junior, Wario, Donkey Kong, Shiek, Little Mac, Villager, Meta Knight, King Dedede, the mii's, Palutena, Rosalina, Olimar, Wii Fit Trainer, Both Bayonetta's, and Cloud player 2) then I got Shovel Knight, the 8-bit mario's, all the original splatoon amiibo, all 4 of the Kirby series amiibo, the Mario Party Rosalina, Wolf Link, all 4 of the original Zelda anniversary series, the Bobokoblin, Alm and Celica, and I got Chrom/Tiki pre-ordered. Besides the smash ones, the only ones I'm missing are the new splatoon series, the rest of the breath of the wild series, and the second wave of the zelda anniversary. Plus I still want Gold Mega-Man despite me sucking at his games. Funny enough my first three amiibo were characters I rarely play in smash, with Sonic, Pac-Man, and Mewtwo being my first three. Then I got a lot of some rare-ish ones due to restocks (Marth, Fox, Shulk, Ike, Captain Falcon, Greninja) So I basically go into gamestops nowadays looking for any pre-owned amiibo that I'm missing, the ones I use the most are of course the fire emblem ones, but I use all of the ones I have when I decide I need rupees in Breath of the Wild (so much food items, then cook them and sell for profit).
  20. Oh boyo, I get to talk about my experiences. So before the wave 4 rare amiibo restock towards the end of 2016, I had ordered Lucina from Japan and Robin from Australia (alongside a copy of sacred stones from within the U.S.) Anyways Robin took over a month to arrive and was 2 weeks late, but when I messaged the company/seller they were actually kind enough to inform me of their customs having some issues and just overall informed me that it would be late. Lucina on the other hand, oh boy, first off took over a month to arrive, then when I opened it I found a Marth inside (quite ironic tbh), then it took two weeks to contact the seller and I was already about to start going through the refund process when they finally contacted me asking me to not report them, and that they would send my Lucina and let me keep the Marth, well over a month later Lucina finally comes in. I ended up giving the Marth to a friend as I already had him. I just find it funny that out of all my Fire Emblem amiibos, only two were not from America, with Lucina being Japanese and Robin being Australian. (So I imagine the rest of them are just having a casual conversation when Lucina bursts in going full Otaku and Robin is wrestling a crocodile or something)
  21. Yeah very true, if Hyrule warriors prepared me for anything, it was playing as 4 op units all with a different playstyle and often switching between them. (Link with master sword, Linkle with Crossbows, Young Link with his mask, and Lana with her tome). Now the only thing to make this game even better for me is if they add Nephenee, Severa, Mathilda, and/or Delthea.
  22. I hoped for a Fire Emblem warriors game and that Cordelia would be in it. Both of those have come true. Cordelia was going to be my main anyways but man does she look epic! I really love her large range and that pegasus swarm move looks amazing. To think, before Cordelia was announced I was going to main Female Corrin, but now she's pushed back to secondary.
  23. When I played it, I only used it in serious battle like important npc's or gym leaders/elite 4. My team did kinda revolve around it Greninja, Event Blaziken, Charizard, Lucario, Pikachu (yes I had a pikachu in my party the entire game and still have not evolved him), and a Diggersby (had pickup so I was like "Free items why not" Yeah not the best team but it got the job done, I know the weakness's are high, but I did pick a few counterpick moves on them to balance it out (that and Charizard was actually the mon to weaken stuff)
  24. Awakening I never felt burnt out of, well until I started playthrough number 4 where everyone is going to know every possible skill and be at max caps promoted before I challenge Gangrel. Anyways with Fates I almost immediately felt burnout. Birthright actually felt like a chore to play yet I still forced myself to play and beat it just so I could play revelations with semi-decent hopes. Conquest was fine until I got to chapter 12, then it got really hard. So much so for me to progress I literally had to spend 4 hours grinding units up to promoting and have decent weapons, that took a few months, Revelations was my most enjoyable out of the three because it felt proper. Anyways I refused to beat Revelations until conquest was done, so all the way back in October one night, I felt like beating revelations, so I literally said screw it, and speedrunned through the last 5 chapters of conquest (speaking of which, as hard as conquest was, it felt really fun on a few maps, like Hinoka's, and my units were way stronger then my birthright ones, maybe even revelations but a few of those units were over-leveled and had some OP skills) Echoes the only burnout I feel is trying to grind for shards/legendary weapons. I would say grinding everyone up is a chore but I found a way to make it go by pretty fast (basically one unit deals with all the enemies on the hard grinding map, and then healers like priestess's/sages surround them from the non-dangerous side, and Tatianna is in the middle with a mage ring so she can fortify/physic someone if needed)
  25. I immensely prefer physical, as I basically grew up knowing cartridges and discs, and feel more comfortable having a physical cartridge rather then a digital that oh gods could happen to. The only exception to this is digital exclusives or in rare cases for me, it's the only way to play a game with your current hardware (ie Zelda nes on the 3ds VC) or if it's on sale (That's how I got my digital version of Awakening for half price, loved it so much I even went out and bought a used physical copy for more saves, plus slight OCD about not having my favorite game's case on my 3ds case shelf)
