  1. Grieth has no Brave Sword, that cuts down on his damage output significantly. 148
  2. If you could survive the Dean or the Sonya, Grieth is a cinch. I'm considering doing a males only Alm females only Celica run, probably on Normal Classic. Team Alm leaves me without a healer, hmm.... Tobin would go Mage for Physic. Kliff, I'd think Mage as well, but perhaps Mercenary instead for two Dread Fighters, or even Archer. Faye is definitely going Cleric as always, on my Alm-females Celica-males run, she is like level 10/15, and managed to accrue 19 Def or so. Randal is going with Alm, Emma will just have to sit on the bench. Shade and Yuzu should be able to help Celica quite nicely, but I think I might burn a Pitchfork on Yuzu, she is just lacking as Priestess with only 4 Move I find. 146
  3. I think it might be referring to the little helper/assistant mascot of Microsoft Word: They later got rid of it due to reasons of being ridiculed. (And I like your choice of words for my request NekoKnight.)
  4. "Another happy customer!" ? Crit quotes, the first few times they're cool, but now that you point it out, they do turn everyone into Peri/Reina. Not a pleasant notion. Silence is sometimes magic. ...Now if you excuse me, a bunch of kids with short middle names have come to sell their souls to me and kin. I cannot afford to pass by this opportunity.
  5. One, a sufficiently thick and well made wedding gown would probably offer some arrow protection, maybe a couple slashes too, but not for long. Two, Charja has the excuse of likely not being Armor originally back when she was supposed to be one of the first Seasonals before the FEH release got delayed. Owing to the weakness of Armors in the metagame as revealed later on, she got assigned Armor status to address this and make her more desirable. They need to invent new forms of Special damage reduction perhaps. Aren't there like 10 different ways of reducing cooldown now? Would it be worth considering new ways of reducing incoming Special damage? Maybe the Siegfried can get such a way in a refine?
  6. I am the Anguished One, seeker of power. Doth thou desire the power? Yes, the power. So be it! My fist is the divine breath. Blossom, o fallen seed, and draw upon thy hidden powers! Grant unto thee the power of the glorious Mother of Destruction!!
  7. I heard the tallest country in the world is the Netherlands. Makes sense, what with the country being below sea level and all, the extra inch of high must mean the difference between drowning and breathing when a dike breaks.
  8. The BK hogged the PoR limelight Ashnard could have gotten in Heroes so far. Some would say this is also true of Ashnard and the BK in PoR, but thats besides the point. Well there is just mad, and then there is Zombie Face Berserk with marginally higher stats. While Ashy would do great with Fury, life for power is a risk he'd bet on, I'd rather they try something new. Defiant Spectrum 3? Maybe an augmented Miracle that gives massive stat boosts for 1 turn after surviving a fatal hit? "Chaotic Rebirth", which be would be like the augmented Miracle in that it'd be a Special, but with an HP restore (perhaps from 1 to half of max HP) and some smaller overall stat boosts- a reference to fighting him on Hard/Maniac. We can leave out the blessed armor immune to all but Ragnell and the strongest Laguz, or toss him Iote's Shield in the A slot. Gurgurant the blade of regi-patricide would just get Distant Counter.
  9. Japan only I assume? @Kirokan Sorry to bother you, but this might be your next project! If you choose to accept it. No need nor rush. Live your life as you seek it. Any chance SF could have the official art uploaded here if that is the case? Here is hoping to some juicy beta information, developer interviews and or world/character building details!
  10. I think you meant Hilda, I didn't discuss Lighting Breath or Expiration at all. Clever use of the Mine Trick? Dark Druids can use Staffs, and I do recall Nergal having a few Staff Morphs next to him. I had to redo that chapter once long ago because Priscilla got Berserked by one of them, I didn't want her to suicide on anyone and she had my only Restore. I don't recall any of them being able to heal though. If one did have a Heal or Fortify for Nergal to borrow, that would be fun to watch. But Merlinus can't be fielded for that fight, and I don't believe Mine Tricked foes can trade with non-Merlinus allies.
  11. The way they've been so insecure about with the 2nd Sacred Stones Banner (Gleipnirika) and now the Fallen Heroes Banner (all versions of characters of present popularity in Heroes barring Hardin), I believe at this moment they might throw Blessed Sword Olwen or Master Sword Reinhardt into the mix (not that I'd mind them in the long run, just not in Thracia's first Banner). The irony is that Reinhardt was almost unheard of unless you actually played T776 before Heroes (so few outside of Japan- probably still relatively few within Japan). He is proof that nobodies or near nobodies can become popular somebodies if decked out appropriately in Heroes gameplay. Ralf could become popular with an unbalanced loadout, all FEH has to do is try. Perhaps Eyvel could have have something like Quick Burn or Lucky Seven from Awakening, a Skill that wears off turns into the battle. Maybe "Gesh Protection"- all would be fatal attacks will be survived on the first turn of battle (both player phase and enemy phase). Just as a little reference to the fact she cannot at all die during the first four chapters of FE5, any fatal attack she would automatically dodge. And since no one else in FE4 or 5 is associated with it (other than Zwei the Galzus Deadlord), she could bring the heat on with the Flame Sword as her weapon. I haven't played Thracia, but I see her as inspiring Tellius's Titania, and from what I know, besides the rather questionable choice of making her Brigid, she seems to be a quite likable character.
  12. I wonder why they left her wingless in the FE6 official art and map sprite? Maybe because it was easier to draw? Maybe because they wanted to make her look more like a normal girl? While looking at FE Wiki to see what you meant, not having played FE6 yet I needed to look up her unshifted battle sprite, and since Gleipnirika partly alludes to a glitch, perhaps they could give us this for a character we can't quite unsee? 2 less than 30 in 6 months means ~60 in a year. So to add the same 480 for ~650, we'll need 8 years. Enough time for perhaps 3 new games and 2 remakes? Which would raise the upper limit at 60 per new game and how about 20 per remake by 220 new non-Seasonal-Brave-Gleipnirika units. Meaning 890 units total. But adding them into the picture would require another 3-4 years, in which time another 1-2 new games could release and or 1-2 remakes could be released (no more than 3 games total though). This would add another 1 to 2 and 1/2 years. Enough for one more new game and one more year of additions. So the 1 year that is past, plus 8 more, plus 3-4 more, plus 1-2 more, plus 1 more, gives us a theoretical lifespan of upwards of ~15 years. Heroes could end just in time for my midlife crisis! (I'm enjoying my unending quarterlife crisis as is.) And if this seems odd to type all this speculation out. I plan to keep these numbers on record offline, just for my sake. And long story short- FEH at the current rate runs no risk of running out of new characters. The bigger question is will you run out of the stamina we call "a life"?
  13. Whoops. I didn't look hard enough. I hate it when I make such a pathetic mistake, hurts the image I try to set of myself . Still, no wings in humanoid form, means no flight in all likelihood (sooner or later they'll invent someone who can float around at will and count it as a flying unit). Ena and Rajaion might be royalty and thus public figures, but they'd appreciate some bedroom privacy. Also, Tiki, Nowi and Nah all have Wyvern Rider in their class selection in Awakening. Plausible, but also strange. I'd count Rhajat. So 78 characters added in the first year with 90 starting units. That's 168 after year one. So assuming 80 new non-Seasonals a year, it'll take another 6 years before we hit the 650 upper limit (648 to be exact) I said before. Although assuming in 6 years we get two brand new FEs with 50-60 viable characters to add from each, we could be looking at a new upper limit of 770 units. If they toss in a remake or two on top of two brand new games, perhaps 800. This would tack on another two years perhaps, for a lifespan of almost a decade total for Heroes. Not bad, probably very profitable.
  14. You forgot the possibility of Bastian in the Dauntless Crimeans group. I'd spend 500 Orbs to hear him speak with the same eloquence as he does in PoR and his RD "supports", that is poetic writing unlike any FE has done before or since in terms of quality (barring Mitama speaking in haikus possibly- I think she does sometimes). Well maybe not just to hear him, but he'd be a Green Infantry Mage, probably on the slow side, but hopefully a replacement for his Corrosion skill and a good Atk stat would give Crimea's Keystone some viability. Overall I felt he was a good character. I could see Morva as Red. Why? Because he uses Wretched Air as a "corrupted by Riev and Lyon" Manakete, which is the only time we see him fight (and pretty much the only time we see him at all), and I think Wretched Air, while classified as a monster weapon, is considered Dark Magic in the Trinity of Magic. Wretched Air (or Wretched Breath) would likely be his weapon, it sounds cool by the way. Morva's one appearance doesn't even give him a map sprite and he doesn't get official artwork, so we don't know what he fully looks like in Manakete form. We never see anything of wings on his humanoid form, despite seeing enough backside that we should be able to see wings if he had them. By the way, does anyone happen to know how many characters were added through the first year of FEH? Particularly non-Seasonal/OC characters? Adding together New Mystery, SoV, and everything from GotHW onwards save SD, I have a total of ~463 playable FE characters, not including NPCs, Villains, Trial Maps, or other theoretical variations (but it does include some minor overlap with things like 4 Leif Clover and 776!Leif and double Whitewings). The number would be higher, possibly breaching 500 with NPCs, Villains, and Trial Map additions. As well as "reasonable variants" like Beloved Celica and Rag Celica, and Lucina and Masked Marth (could we get an Unmasked "Marth" version that chucks her mask at enemies as a Dagger unit?). I think we have room for upwards of 550 sans totally noncanonical things like Seasonals, Braves, and Gleipnirika, I have my doubts about hitting 600 though, I don't see 650 without SBGs at all. Hence my curiosity as to how many were added in the first year. If I knew how many were added in year, I'd have a fair idea, barring big surprises, of long will it take to add all 500-600 units. And for the sake of my prediction, how many units were in the game at launch?
  15. But Ishtar is overdue too. And only one can be the Gen 2 Genealogy GH- oh wait! This new banner invalidates the rules that, from the start with Eldigan and Reinhardt, were a little sketchy, which the BK weakened, and which Zelgius continued to deteriorate- that villains = GHB alone. Unless you count this banner as an exception, there is nothing to say that G2G Banner 1 can't be Ishtar-Julius-Larcei (to pick a random third).
  16. Wouldn't this possibly be more suited for FFtF? It's news, but is dire/serious enough? The only fried chicken I've had is the kind sold in supermarkets, not the best, but honestly not bad. For a somewhat irrational reason, I fear that if I order the real good stuff from a nice restaurant, the greasiness will cause digestive issues later, and I don't really want that if I'm doing some long daytrip. I'd want to try chicken and waffles, but the idea of sweet maple syrup coming into contact with savory chicken does not sit well with me. And there is little point in ordering it if I keep everything separate. I get the sense that American fast food chains have higher quality aboard, that was my impression from this little Travel Channel series called Fast Foods Gone Global I saw once. Now if you wanted real chaos, imagine Japan running out of KFC just before Christmas.
  17. Amen! They're doing this much too early. Are they so fearful that even with Seasonals the unpopulars can't move a single Orb that they must do this so soon? Don't they realize they'll sooner than later run out of logical cases where they could do this kind of thing? I'd hope it's just a stopgap measure for the time between the end of last year's prearranged planned material, and putting the results of CYL2 to work. And Kent, to use a character you like, is the Red Cavalier of FE7- not a complete nobody like Geitz (who I actually like a bit). He's part of Lyn's retinue, being in the Lyndis Legion should automatically give a bump for that. Give us the Crimson Shield (not a bad title, even when Lowen is the tank (yet he gets the title Swift Knight), Kent is more the Crimson Eyes statwise). Likewise, I want, how about Zihark- the Navarre who isn't edgy at all? I think he has a likable/cool appearance, and he has some depth to him, but when realistically will he get in?
  18. I'm not sure Hardin went "Yay Darksphere have my soul oh happy day!" It devoured his turban (aka the repository of his soul), he could not have been happy at all with that. Nor being used by Gharnef and having Nyna turned into Medeus's potential breakfast.
  19. Then I guess you really want her swinging around the Blazing Durandal. So, the next new Banner of hope and despair appears to be non-Seasonal (the one after that would likely then be Easter 2) and will arrive on Mar. 9th. Unless they're being selective with what they show, it appears to not have any GHB or TT associated with it. Wonder what it'll be.
  20. Eh Conqueror Mirage Chrom looks much better if we wanted an evilish Chrom. While the Berserk Ike idea is cool, the recent Cipher design belongs with the pile of corpses that he like his father before him would leave in his crazed wake. Also, if Berserk Ike got in, don't forget he hired someone just in case that happened: ...So should we expect Friend Slayer Marth (with Lightsphere skill)? Lover Savior Alm? You Love Me Deep Down Takumi Forrin (with Shadow Yato)? I WOULD NEVER SACRIFICE YOU! Chrom? Pleh. We don't need any of those for a long long time. Eclipse said the same thing earlier. I'm not really criticizing you here and I mean this rather gently, but is there the possibility the same personality comes off differently depending on what sex you attach it to, due to subtly ingrained societal expectations of how we expect each sex to be? Even when there is no true difference?
  21. Would doing away with GHBs be a bad idea? They're always villains, a little boring. However, if they abolished the GHB, and the BHB, and just invented "This Is In Some Way Special Hero Battles", then they would have the freedom to feature whomever they wanted to. We could have a Wolt vs. Danved TIISWSHB. All IS has to continue doing without GHBs around is throw missions for Orbs and a few freebie characters in the replacement mix to keep the FTPs/anchovies playing.
