So, I changed my mind about outright avoiding red and colorless stones on the CYL / Brave banner after learning they're in fact not limited-time units. Knowing how this game is with me, I'd probably blunder into both Brave!Lyn and Brave!Roy eventually so why fight it now? I did still stick with my decision to get Lucina with the freebie though. Anyways, I go into the banner proper with 15 orbs + the free summon and get presented with four reds and a colorless. I use the free summon on the colorless and get 4* Lissa. I seriously considered backing out at that point since there were no chance at getting Brave!Ike but decided to finish the summon anyways and, well... I swear, this game is a real comedian sometimes. It even gave him a very good boon/bane (+Spd/-Res) too because of course it did. Like I said, I knew I'd blunder into Brave!Roy and Brave!Lyn at some point but didn't expect it to happen pretty much immediately...

How? Ike's the one with the highest point total right now (32,065,374 to Lyn's 26,751,513) so he probably has the biggest team, not Lyn.

Just putting this out there, but only Seth got dropped to 4-5 star status. Amelia, Innes and Tana are all still 5* only unless if I misread the list.

I'm under the impression that they seeded it like they did just to avoid the Lucina/Tharja match-up that would've happened if they did seed it like that. IS also had no problem pitting Elise against Sakura who should've been Elise's opponent in the finals instead of Priscilla immediately back in the healer gauntlet. Case in point, me. The entire reason I went with Chrom in Round 2 was to avenge Leo's defeat. Since that didn't end up working out, I went on to Lucina who did deliver the justice I was looking for. Also, I would absolutely not join Lyn if I was on Team Lucina and lost for the record.

I never denied the fact that Lucina's presence in that gauntlet severely hurt Chrom's chances. I honestly do believe that Chrom would've beat Ephraim if Lucina were replaced by Lissa in that gauntlet.

Likewise, I won't be pleased at all if Lyn ends up winning and will likely be salty as hell for a little while after the fact. That doesn't mean I won't accept the fact she won, it just means I won't be happy about it. Ephraim had someone leeching support away from him too though. Sure, Eirika isn't on the same level as Lucina but is still for reasons unknown to me a pretty popular character in her own right.

Yeah, a bit too confident especially when factoring in the damned stacked multiplier. As long as that thing sticks around, practically nothing is guaranteed.

Though I'm on your friend list, I adamantly refuse to side with Lyn under any circumstances so my Soren won't be lending you his aid in Round One at the very least. Just wanted to give you that heads-up.

I'm only going into tomorrow with just a fourth of what you have (5) and there isn't a single orb left for me to collect from quests, Chain Challenge, etc. The most I've ever saved was about 40 (20 of which were from the April Voting Gauntlet) going into World of Shadows. Of course, my number of orbs will go up to 21 tomorrow assuming the quests accompanying Paralogue 11 will be the same as the last couple and give 3 orbs. The September quests should give out a total of 22 orbs if it follows past trends as well.

I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't seed the gauntlet like that too because if they did, Lucina and Tharja would've been paired off with each other in could've gone down as The Great Awakening Civil War of 2017.

At least as far as the Tenth Stratum is concerned, the enemies seem to always adopt at least one skill from the unit that would be in their place in the Story Mode version. In this case, Olivia apparently had Dance overridden for Pivot because she (at least I assume) started where Tobin would've been. I just loaded this particular map up myself and I got Titania in the spot where Clive would've been and she had Hit and Run as her B Passive instead of Guard 3.

His bane is HP, so I'm good on that front. Better that than the other way around said my Summer!Leo.

Mine is +Res, so any blue mage would be lucky to even so much as tickle him. I do still need to get around to replacing Rexcalibur+ with Gronnraven+ on him, especially with the cancer known as Brave!Lyn fast incoming. Until then, I'll see how well my Cecilia fares as a counter to that pony-tailed demon.

I feel your pain, brother. That's exactly what mine is too. It doesn't bother me quite as much considering I always have my +Spd/-Def Ryoma even though I still don't like him as a character at all and Xander to fall back on.

Roy was my main sword unit early on until I got Eldigan from Sibling Bonds. Now, he's near the very bottom of my sword unit depth chart as I now have too many sword units that I like far more than him and/or that are just better than him. My Triangle Adept Soren has been a main fixture of my arena team for the last several months at least. Unless if I want to shake things up just for the hell of it, he'll likely have a permanent place on my arena team so long as the cockroach named Reinhardt continues to hang around.

Tobin was also part of the team I used to beat the third Turn Limit map. If nothing else, he's excellent at dealing with the axe knights. As a random side note, Roy only has more HMs (44) than Seliph (0) when it comes to my 5* swords. Yes, even the Ike and Lucina who are both not even a week old yet have more than Roy. Yeah, I also pretty much only bring Roy out when I need a Hector counter and/or when I'm facing an Armor Emblem team. That last bit reminds of the couple of times I've run into an all-sword unit team (including one that was nothing but Falchion users) in Arena Assault. I could've probably have gotten away with deploying just Lukas but I decided to be particularly cruel and add Ephraim (he has Swordbreaker) and Abel into the mix as well.

Roy was unfortunately my second ever 5*. These days, the only 5* swords that I use less than him are Saber that'll probably stop being the case once I get around to working on Saber's kit and Seliph who I haven't used at all since getting him to Lvl. 40. Yes, even Tobin sees more or at least just as much use as Roy thanks to the fact that I more often than not I see at least one Armor Emblem team in a given Arena Assault run.

Thanks for the insight. I suppose I should avoid making statements about units that I don't have. My point that Reinhardt is easier to use out of the box compared to Olwen still stands though.

Brilliant wasn't italicized just because I felt like doing it. Anyways, I think it was a shitty decision for the exact same reason. The guy pretty much only needs Death Blow 3 to ORKO the majority of the cast. Why Olwen wasn't the one who got dropped down instead still baffles me. Yeah, I know she can become just as deadly if not more so than her brother with the proper setup. However, said setup requires a modest amount of inheritance (5* Odin for Blarblade+, 5* hero with LaD for Life and Death 3) while, again, Reinhardt's already killing mostly everyone with Death Blow 3 plus an Attack boon. With how strong he is without requiring much of anything in terms of inheritance, he really should've stayed as a 5 star only.

I'd be stuck on Roy's team if I was forced to side with whoever out of these eight I got first. After him, it would go like this: Chrom, Camilla, Tharja, Ike, Lucina. I may have Chrom and Camilla backwards but it should be accurate other than that. I still lack regular Lyn thank my lucky stars and Hector curse my not so lucky stars.

Like with Arthur, this reference / meme went completely over my head as I know shit all about Fate/Grand Order as well. I also don't think I want to know what it entails either. To add to my reasons of why I'm with Ike and not Lucina, Ike did get to my castle before she did and he hasn't even been in the game since Day One. First come, first serve and all that.

If two of them do get dropped, I'd say that it's pretty much guaranteed to be Roy and Lucina by virtue of them being the 2nd place finishers. I don't think I could handle them dropping Lyn specifically to a 4-5 star after their brilliant decision to give Reinhardt that treatment.

The Brave / CYL heroes were referred to as "New Heroes" in their preview video instead of as "Special Heroes" like all the previous seasonal heroes. That by itself seems to suggest that the Brave / CYL heroes actually will stick around for good once their banner ends.
