You gotta love how weird enemy stats can get in the top stratums especially when there's two copies of the same character at the same level and the first one has like 10 more Res than the second, stuff like that. I don't remember if it was the 9th or 10th stratum, but I ran into a Lukas with 9 Res earlier today I believe.

To add insult to injury, Henry only had 44 less votes than Leo and his 10th place.

Honestly, I think Merric will get the "honor" of being this gauntlet's Alfonse. He not only is a relatively rare pull but he also doesn't have the advantage of being particularly good in this game like the other rare mages, especially compared to his female counterpart Linde. As far as Henry is concerned, players are both more likely to have him compared to Merric but also be more familiar with Henry compared to Merric due to the former being an Awakening character. I just have a hard time seeing Merric get more support than Henry (or anyone else in the gauntlet for that matter) but with Tharja and Robin involved, the Awakening fandom is split three ways so who knows.

Just for reference, Catria maxes Armored Blow as a 4 star. She is the only who currently does though.

While there is no longer a 3-4* hero that I haven't pulled at some point, I've only gotten Sully and Eliwood once each so far and both were 3*. As for 4-5* heroes, there are enough of them that I don't have that I'm just going to list them in a spoiler for anyone who cares. Also of note is that I have pulled Roy and Seliph at 5* once each but have yet to pull either as a 4*.

I have promoted three units to 5* so far, them being Nino (+ATK, -RES, started as a 3*), Camilla (+ATK, -HP) and Zephiel (4*). Once he arrives in a few days time, Xander will be my fourth 5* promotion. I have also promoted the Askr trio all to 4* and will probably 5* all of them at some point though I can't say it is a priority of mine. Other units I've promoted to 4* include Narcian (2*), Robin F (3*), Subaki (3*, +ATK, -HP), Robin M (3*, +SPD, -HP), an Olivia that ended up being used as skill fodder after I got Ninian (3*) and at least two other 3* units that were used as skill fodder. Assuming I calculated right, that means I've spent a total of at least 82,800 feathers at this point.

Frederick's 35 Attack (neutral and without weapon factored in) is actually the highest Attack out of all the cavalry units in the game at this point, both physical and magical with the second highest being 33 (Abel and Peri). So yeah, there's a fun fact for you.

It's a shame that you can only back one character per round because I also quite like Henry and Sanaki (Julia is also pretty cool). Leo just happens to be higher on my list of favorites than either of them plus he gets a shot at redemption now that lance dweeb Ephraim is not in the picture. At least there's no one I outright dislike in this gauntlet (yes, that includes Tharja).

This might come as a shock, but I'm going with Leo all the way. He is one of my absolute favorite characters in the series after (still haven't been fortunate to pull him though). If he fails to make it to the finals again, I don't know who I'd join with afterwards at this point but hopefully I won't have to make that choice this time.

I haven't pulled any more 5 stars since my initial post but I did promote Zephiel to 5* so now I'm at 14 5 stars with Xander being next in line for promotion once he gets released.

I've made three pulls under this banner so far and let's just say I did not come out of it two 5 stars richer like my first three pulls under the last banner. Pull 1: Lukas (4*), Gaius (3*), Henry (3*), Marth (4*, new), Henry again (4*) Pull 2: Virion (3*), Catria (4*), Saizo (3*), Fae (4*, new); only had 17 orbs for this one so a colorless stone went unopened, which knowing my luck was probably either the other Faye or Mist Pull 3: Arthur (3*), Peri (4*), Sophia (3*), Henry... (4*), Azama (3*) Comments

Corrin (F) could also be a distinct possibility for Xander's banner. After all, she is a blue unit that targets Xander's weaker defensive stat in Resistance and at 5 stars (provided that she isn't -Speed) can double 9-5 Xander or if she is +Speed as a 4 star. If anyone from Fates is on Xander's banner, I'd say that Corrin (F) has just as good a chance of being on it as Ryoma, Laslow and Peri if not more so. However, considering Zephiel's banner didn't even have a single Elibe character on it, there really is no telling what they will decide to go with. Who knows, they might end up putting Ninian on the banner instead.

Well, so much for me being so sure that they would release Celica now while the metaphorical iron is still hot. Considering that I have gotten all the previous Greg Chun voiced characters from their respective banners, this obviously means that Ike will buck this trend and elude me no matter how hard I try on account of being among my favorite FE characters. No offense to Ephraim, Eldigan and Lukas but I wouldn't have been upset if I missed any one of them. Oh well, it's awesome to see Tellius get its proper introduction and I'm certainly excited for it!

I have a hard time believing that the next banner will be anything but Celica's. Look at it this way, Alm's banner had a duration of 12 days so if the next banner is Celica's and also runs for 12 days, then Celica's banner would expire on the same day (May 8th) as the Shadows of Valentia JP Release bonus orbs and quests. While I wouldn't be upset if they go with something different, I'm firmly under the impression that IS is going to get the SoV hype out of the way now and when it gets to the international release of SoV, we might get some bonus items like we did for the Switch's launch but that's just me speculating. I'm also starting to think that Tellius is being saved for an expansive update that would include new story chapters and the addition of far more than just 4 to 6 Tellius characters (think somewhere around 20) but I suppose we'll see in time what IS is planning.

I already cleaned out all of the tasks thanks to the fact that I previously trained Robin and Navarre up to Lv. 40 4*. Sure was fun seeing my Nino completely destroy Robin's map this time with her now being a decked out 5* as opposed to the 4* who needed help back then. I will also say that getting Robin to KO Navarre, predictably, was the trickiest part of these tasks just in terms of getting him low enough for Robin to actually KO him with the minuscule damage she deals to him while making sure my other units just weaken him and not KO him themselves.

I'm glad that at least Robin (F) is coming back since I only ever cleared her map on Hard without realizing I could've gotten a second copy of her, albeit a 2*, for clearing Normal. Now I just need Narcian to come back as I am now more than capable of beating his map on Hard unlike when it first ran. It will be interesting to see if they add a Lunatic difficulty for Robin (F) and a Normal difficulty for Navarre as well.

I think it's worth pointing out that the Shadows of Valentia JP Release Bonus and Quests expires on 5/8 and if the next banner runs for 12 days like World of Shadows, it would also expire on 5/8. This makes me think that they're just going to get the Echoes hype out of the way now by having Celica be next and have her banner run until the JP release bonus and quests expire. That's just my two cents though.

On Tuesday, I decided to pay for another pull for World of Shadows with the only character of note I got being Sully (3*). She was the last 3-4 star hero who I hadn't gotten up to this point. For those who care, the others I got were Florina (3*), Raigh (3*), Niles (3*), and Gaius (4*, my fifth 4* Gaius by the way). I also tried a YOLO pull and only got a 3* Corrin (F) for my troubles. Yesterday, I tried pulling blues from Battling Zephiel with 20 orbs in hopes of getting a Reinhardt or Nowi. The first circle had no blues so I pulled from a green and got Barst (3*, someone will like that Reposition at least). The second one had two blues, one of which was Donnel (3*) and the other Peri (4*, first time getting her and she's +ATK as well but -HP). I also decided to pull from the green stone that was in that set and got Frederick (3*). I'm probably just going to save the remaining Sacred Seals bonus orbs for the next banner.

After completing a deathless streak with a team of Lukas, Eldigan (+1), 5* Nino, and my newly promoted 5* Zephiel I have an offensive score of 4,780 (Rank 3,548) and a defensive score of 287 (2 wins). I'll just be happy if I still rank within the top 5k at the end of the season.

Personally, I can't see them making Elincia and/or Micaiah staff units on the basis that one of them is a lord and the other is essentially a lord in all but name. What I'm saying is I don't think they would saddle plot important characters like them with staves compared to characters like Lachesis and Lucius who don't affect the overall narrative of their respective games much if at all. I will say that if Elincia does end up with a staff, I would only be okay with it if Renning gets Amiti instead.

Let's see, I currently have five 4* Gaiuses plus a 3* one, four 3* Ninos plus my 5* one, four 3* Virions plus a 4* one. I had a stretch of 5 pulls in which all but one of them got me a Hinata (three 3* and a 4*). I have also pulled a total of four 4* Camillas (only have one of them now, which I promoted to a 5*) and 3 Chroms (two 4* and a 5*). Palla and Gwendolyn won't leave me alone on my side F2P account (six 3* of each, though one of the Pallas was from the quest, and a 4* of each).

Like Navarre's, I beat this one on my first go easily. Team Lv. 40 5* Ninian (neutral), Inherited Skills / Seals : New Moon (Fortify Def 2 equipped instead of Fortify Dragons) Lv. 40 5* Nino (+ATK, -RES), Inherited Skills / Seals: Draconic Aura, Fury 3, Desperation 3, Speed +1 Lv. 40 5* Klein, +1 (+ATK, -RES), Inherited Skills / Seals: Draw Back, Luna, Hone Atk 2, Attack +1 Lv. 40 5* Roy (+SPD, -HP), Inherited Skills / Seals: Moonbow, Spur Spd 2 Klein took out the mages, Roy handled the axe knight, Nino pelted the lance knight and Zephiel until they died and Ninian provided dance support. I did have Roy defeat Zephiel when I did the Hard version of the map but was unable to give him the finishing blow on Lunatic thanks to Reprisal allowing Zephiel to wreck Roy in one hit (Yes, I did bring Roy entirely for thematic reasons given that Nino and Klein were more than enough to handle this map). In short, strong mage with dance support (and Draw Back) stomps this map flat, but I'm sure that has already been firmly established.

I like how my current arena rank is sitting at exactly 19,000 (offense score of 4,720). With this current group of bonus characters, I was stuck having to haul around 4 star Michalis though I also tried using 4 star Alfonse with a Brave Sword for a little bit because I clearly have the best ideas. On top of the usual gaffes I make, having Michalis take up a spot on my team really hurt my ability to get through 7 matches deathless. Before we got this group of bonus characters, I could pretty consistently rank at least within the top 10,000. Oh well, at least I have Alm ready to go for next season.
