Yup! Love the Aiba pfp you've got rollin'.

See @Sooks you should join our army as we await the sequel!

Same goes for your Mizuki pfp. She and Aiba were my favorites.

But yeah anyone wanting to experience a great unique detective mystery story I would really recommend Ai The Somnium Files. It’s really a special experience. The game has a fantastic story and a great cast of characters.

I bought the game when it went on sale and after finishing it I immediately pre ordered the sequel. I only wish I played the game earlier then I would’ve tried to buy the collector’s edition. I really recommend it and if you live in the EU the game is on a 80% discount.

  2. So they learned from Jeorge botting his way in top 20. This time you need a Nintendo account to vote, that’s good. I would’ve liked it if they already did that in the previous CYL because that was the first one after the release of FE3H but better late than never. I’ll start by giving Tine some votes and then I might change my votes after the midterm results to Eirika if she has a chance of getting a Brave alt.

  3. VGA results were predictable. Can’t speak about TLOU2’s gameplay but even if I had a PS4 I wouldn’t have bothered because I really dislike the story. There’s also the whole crunch story to TloU2 and giving a reward to Naughty Dog feels like you’re approving of crunch. It would’ve been nice if they said “Tlou2 would’ve won if it weren’t for the crunch”. It would’ve been a strong statement. Same goes for Cyberpunk next year really.

The Game Of The Year and Player’s Voice results are different for the second time. Seems like gamers and game critics will never agree will they.

I don't know if this counts as an unpopular opinion, or even an opinion, but its tangentially related so I'll share it.

It's kind of fun to see the community's opinion on Three Houses evolve. There's a such a dramatic shift from people thinking it was going to bring the series to an FE4 level of glory again to people's dissatisfaction with the rushed narrative and visuals, the map design, the merits of Monastery system, etc. Maybe it's just schadenfreude because I didn't buy the game, but it's both funny and fascinating to see people turn on it.

That isn't really FE 3H exclusive. It's something that happens with a lot of popular games. After the honeymoon phase some fans will change their mind about games. It happens with franchises like Mario, Zelda, Fallout, Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy but even with single games like Guild Wars 2 and The Outer Worlds.

Wow Cynthia’s bases are incredible for a level 10 unpromoted... 17 strength and 23 speed?? That’s 2 less speed than her mother has, who was also in the peg line, and is now level 3 promoted. I mean since I’m already using Chrom, Lucina, and Sumia I might as well complete the family and add her to the team... those bases....

    Snipperclips looks fun!

Not a Switch exclusive, but Pikuniku's got some nice co-op stuff too.

    Snipperclips also looks good.

Looks interesting. I put those in my wishlist.

Luigi's Mansion 3. I 100%'d that one with a friend and it was really fun. Just a heads-up, however - coop is not available until an hour or so into the game. You have to get Gooigi to be able to do coop. It doesn't take too long, though, and after that you can do the entire game coop.

I have Luigi's Mansion 3 and I think I did unlocked Gooigi, I'm not sure. I haven't played that much because the game didn't click with me but maybe playing it together with someone else will do the trick.

Out of curiosity, what was it that disappointed you about Mass Effect 3? Was it just the ending (which I personally didn't mind but I know a lot of people hated), or were there other parts that you found disappointing too?

Aside from the ending there’s a few other things:

    - Needing multiplayer to raise your galactic readiness

    - Javik being one day dlc

    - Aside from Tuchanka and Rannoch the story didn’t really live up to my expectations

    - I wasn’t really a fan of the kid. I didn’t mind them giving Shephard PTSD but I didn’t like how they handled it.

    - Most choices and consequences from previous games were somewhat ignored or barely had any consequences

-I’ve already mentioned the story but I also think that some characters were bad like Kai Leng. As far as I know he’s supposed to be a renegade Shepard in the books, in the gale he’s a saturday cartoon villain. Come to think of it, I also felt really meh about cerberus.

Dragon Age 2's storyline is one of the most ambitious that I have seen in gaming. It's a shame that EA had to rush it.

That’s true. Dragon Age 2 is kind of a mess but given a lot more time it really could’ve been something special just like Dragon Age Origins.

You honor me by assuming I'd ever get a date irl. XD

I didn't have a lot of fun with either, to be perfectly honest. Way too slow for my liking.
Best mainline games to me are B2/W2. But they are all blown out of the water by the spin-offs, specifically Mystery Dungeon: Explorer's of Sky.

Explorers of the sky was amazing

I didn't even bother with 7 after finding the demo to be a soulless slog after caving in to my morbid curiosity (originally, I didn't even want to play the demo) and the creature designs to be... something of an eyesore, in all honesty. 7 was the Gen that made me decide to quit Pokémon for good.
As for Gen 2 remakes... eh. Way too slow to really be enjoyable imo. Like everything Gen 4.
Also, they utterly botched the battle theme for my favorite Pokémon.

But that's just my highly unqualified take on things.
    I'm sorry.

But Pokemon HG/SS is the best pokemon game of all time.

Way I see it Pokemon went downhill when they went the 3D route.

  9. I've played Fire Emblem: Three Houses: for 795 hours or more and I still  don't regret it. I still love the game.

Yes the game has flaws but every single FE game has flaws and the things it does well it does really well and they matter the most to me. It also has some of my new FE favorite characters in Lysithea, Edelgard and Felix. Still my favorite FE game.
