  1. When it comes to female lords, the opposite is true. People are much harsher when it comes to their writing than male lords.
  2. Alastor, since you did enjoy the Crimean parts of RD a lot, I think you'll like this thread.
  3. I'd be surprised if Merlinus gets a legendary alt even though he is more important in Binding Blade compared to Lilina.
  4. But if Yen'fay is this stupid, why does he have such a strong reputation?
  5. Especially Brave Hector who nullifies armour effectiveness. Nothing beats Brave Hector except sweep or dazzle skills. Not even bonus Thrasir is a problem for Hector despite WTD and Thrasir being an oppressive unit in her own right. Special fighter bonfire Brave Hector with Flayn support is just too strong.
  6. Basically a Sonya. I would also add NFU to the tome contingent on the special being ready.
  7. Yeah, I want to see Caeda's recruitment conversations with full voice acting. That'd be cool to see. Also, the graphics won't be as dull as in the DS era.
  8. You want FE1 and FE3 remade again despite being on the DS?
  9. Roy was the original Edelgard. Roy: “You said you would give the world to the Dragons. Then rule by humans would just be replaced by similar rule by Dragons!” Zephiel: “The Dragons you see now are weapons for battle. They have no ‘self.’ They have no cruel emotions to be driven by, unlike foolish humans. The world under the Dragons’ control would be fair and peaceful.” Roy: “I cannot agree that such a world would be for the better good! It is true that humans have many evil emotions and do terrible things, but it has always been us humans who have corrected such wrongdoings!” Zephiel: “Hmph…you are indeed naive.” Roy: “I have faith in mankind. I will not lose to a man who has lost faith in his people and even in himself!” Edelgard: The children of the goddess have been defeated at last. The shape of the world will be forever changed. Humanity is free now. The world is ours once again. Can you believe it?
  10. Ending a season below T38 means you go back down to T23, not T21. So IS is basically stratifying T21+ into three groups. The first group are the casuals who just want to stay in T21 and do the dailies. These guys will benefit because they no longer have to fight against top tier player defenses nor are their defenses easy pickings for tryhards. The second group are those that can reach tier 27+ but won't be skilled enough to reach T38 so they will go back down to T23 and alternate between T23 and T31 every week. These guys are the serious players who aren't the very best. The last stratification is of players who will be able to reach T38 almost every season and hence always start back at T31. I think everyone benefits. The tryhards were complaining that AR has gotten too easy while the casuals complain about being matched up against cancer def setups. The intermediate players benefit the least because they are stuck in a limbo but their rewards will go up as well so I'm okay with that.
  11. Yes I do. I know what post you are talking about. Thanks for acknowledgement.
  12. I haven't played, read or watched Awakening so I have no idea what is being discussed but I wish I could follow the debate since it seems like an interesting one. However, it seems like ideas that could improve the story are being shot down just because the plot point is perceived to be good enough. And can we not make lazy comparisons with Mario games that are platformers. Comparing an RPG to a platformer is bizarre. People who play RPGs tend to expect more intricate story details compared to people who play platformers.
  13. It should as you rise in tiers and have to face off against stronger opponents.
  14. But isn't Ike like Greil in that he has too much chaos in him that he can't hold the medallion or else he'd get corrupted? Micaiah being heron branded means she's highly in tune with order. Ike actually enjoys fighting much like the non heron chaotic laguz, unlike Micaiah, I do think Ike represents chaos and Micaiah represents order. Not necessarily completely or else Micaiah would be pro Ashera and Ike would be pro Ashnard.
  15. Micaiah is the main protagonist of RD. Her actions cause or at the very least influence most of the events in the story and she's also present in more chapters than Ike. I don't think Elincia should be classified as a protagonist of RD unless you want to classify characters like Fjorm, Eir and Peony as protagonists just because they were a protagonist within a book. Being protagonist in part two is not the same as being a protagonist within RD as a whole. So in terms of plot relevance, Micaiah>Ike>>Elincia. As for whether the role of the characters in unbalanced, well firstly there is no reason why all protagonists need to have the same amount of importance but we can still criticize it based on context. RD has this problem where the writers decide in the beginning that Micaiah is the main protagonist, hence why she's the only protagonist on the cover but, then the game ends up changing its mind at the end to make Ike the main protagonist in the epilogue where only Ike is mentioned before the end. Him also being the one to get the final word with Yune is also pretty dumb IMO as Micaiah is the actual Apostle and we don't get to see Micaiah actually talk with Yune. As for how well-written the characters are, Micaiah is the best written character in Tellius IMO. Her character growth from a very idealistic girl to a ruthless general is very interesting. As is her character growth from a secluded girl who did not want attention to a Queen who would be forced to be in the public sphere is also great. She also changes her opinion on Ike over time. Speaking of Ike, he is a bit underwhelming in RD but decent overall. Elincia is pretty good overall for someone who is not a protagonist.
  16. They will probably have a new OC mythic in the middle of December while the new legendary will be available at the end of December. I think it is most likely Micaiah as well.
  17. I prefer you can kill Julius with anyone if you are strong/skilled enough. Or else you come under no limit fallacy.
