  1. LOL, Artur >>> Arthur. Watch him get added as a healer with the Latona Staff
  2. Did an Arena run with only 752 and 754 scores. Got five 752's which put me at Rank #4. I dropped one spot since then, but being in the top 10 is a really cool achievement. I have plenty (580) of dueling crests to cherry-pick for only 754 scores to be rank #1, but I don't think I have the patience for it. Attempted an early AA run with the same water blessing boosted team as the lead, and a warp powder Zelgius gutted my 4* Artur that I use situationally on the 3rd map. I was able to squeeze out the win for the daily rewards, but I surrendered after that. With Armors and Fjorms everywhere, AA is providing a pretty decent challenge. I need to build more armorslayers/gem weapon counters.
  3. You need to just hope that there are a few people on your team with enough common sense to fight on the important areas. You can also just dump a few lances into an area and hope that you inspire your teammates to help out. On round 21, I spent 6 lances and some spare stamina to try to take a very important area that Alphonse held right in the middle of our areas (team Sharena). My score on the area was over 70,000 (I wasn't even the highest scorer on the area! It was someone from Alphonse's team), and by the time I was out of stamina and lances we were still down by 30k with about 20 minutes to go. Dejected, I went to grind HM and came back to check the map with 5 minutes left to see that my teammates came to my rescue. We scored well over 500,000 points and took the area with a knockout (when I left we had 300k in that area). If I hadn't dumped everything into that area we would have lost it to a knockout and several of the surrounding areas as well. Then on the final round, our team went off for 8 or 9 knockouts and went from 12 areas to 18. Alphonse's team literally did not show up. Between us and Team Anna they lost 10 or 11 areas to a knockout. They went from 18 areas in round 21 to 5 at the end. It was winning those important areas in round 21 that left them helpless in the final. Communication would be... interesting. On one hand you could see very fast knockouts in the first 10 minutes of each round, or you could see massive arms wars as neither team would be able to get up by 100k.
  4. I really hate it when people say this. If your team is backed up to their base with only 1 area, It doesn't matter what your team does, you will finish with terrible results. Holding key chokepoints or just areas with a large number of paths branching out from them is always beneficial no matter what round you're in. The "good" time to use lances is in the last 30 mins of each round so that you can take advantage of the troops bonus multipliers, and you can view the map to see where you can be the difference in holding or losing an area. I'm a mid-tier whale at this point, and Linde is the only OG character that I still haven't gotten. Despite a plethora of off-focus blue pity breakers. Almost like a middle finger from the game, I have had amazing luck getting ever other blue mage. The last time Linde was on a banner, I got 2 Nowi pity breakers while going for her. While summoning for Ishtar the other night, I was thinking to myself, "a pity breaker Linde would also be cool right now" then bam, fucking Delthea waving her Dark Aura in my face as if to say "hey, you know who else can get a dark aura??" I really like Marisa's art, but Cuboon's is equally as good. I only wish she would have had a Shamshir. I guess there is always the possibility of a weapon refinement for her. Side note, I finally pulled a +Atk Reinhardt, but I don't even care to +10 him anymore. I'm not even in a hurry to promote him to change the base of my current +1.
  5. Threeja's stats are wonderful. Flying Sanaki is NOT slow. She gets +2 Spd for every ally in range. 30 speed at neutral is more than enough to work with. Flying Ninian's stats are passable I guess. Enough speed to avoid double attacks. Horse Marth has a nice stat spread. A shame he is so limited. And my free pull was a Brave Roy... which let me bring mine up to +8. Ares dropping to 4* is awesome. Especially since Lene was the only one I was able to summon. I tried for one final 5* before the banner ended and I got friggen Delthea. She will either go to +3 or be used for Miracle + Drive Atk 2 fodder. Brazen Atk/Def 3 at 4* is the most surprising thing though. I could see Ares falling simply because Lene has an A, B , and C skill. But I definitely thought that Brazen Atk/Def would be locked to 5*. I want like 20+ copies of him to +10 him and have plenty of fodder.
  6. Hahaha, that's awesome. I hate it when I run into random ass sets on the 1v1 part of the daily runs.
  7. You can give the new B-skills to support units and the combatants can keep their preferred B-skills.
  8. You can give the new B-skills to support units and the combatants can keep their preferred B-skills.
  9. https://imgur.com/gallery/HPXRV9V Here’s six more. I finally got around to choosing my base natures for Amelia, Sigurd, and Fjorm. Sakura has been done for awhile and Leon was just on hold for whatever reason. Micaiah apparently just loves me. I have two spare copies left. I’m surprised that some of them are firsts for here. Feel free to use the “level twenty-one” Sigurd for the compendium, lol.
  10. Oh god, I just realized that Tharja is going to be the villain and most likely over-whelming favorite in yet another VG.
  11. Holy Shit, the amount of powercreep on Bride Sanaki and Bride Tharja is absurd. Their weapons are like Owl tomes on steroids, and their new skills are pretty busted too. I'm just glad the weapons can't be inherited.
  12. 1 turn includes both phases. Enemy debuffs wear off after your unit takes an action so you can move and do nothing to remove it and then be danced to take an action without the debuff. Seriously, this question was beat to hell in like the first month of the games release...
  13. That is actually +Spd/-HP you have shown. And Serra is my vote for getting Close Counter. +10 healers are super fun, and I always feel like such premium skill fodder should only go to units with potential to be +10'd. Plus you could give her multiple staff builds as well as Absorb+. Morgan then Sothe after Serra. Faye for Distant Defense. I think all of the others would make better use of other A-skills. Faye however is a one-trick-pony. Her sole purpose is to make ranged attackers regret attacking her. It's a shame that she is the only source of Firesweep bow. Honestly though, even after I pulled 3 or 4 spare copies of her on the Legendary banner she was on, I still haven't given anyone a Firesweep bow. Even my +10 Brave Lyn, I prefer to use her Mulagir. I guess I could be "that guy" and stick her on my defense team with the Firesweep bow, but I'm not exactly desperate for defense wins. For Sonya, I have a wild card suggestion. Fury 3 with Escape Route. Then she can warp to all of her teammates when her health is low. Combine that with Quickened pulse and that build would be really fun for multi-battle modes like TT. I just want to make sure that you know that I personally don't consider him one of the worst daggers in the game. I think most popular tier lists have a lot of things wrong and I like when people build the "low tiers" and show off just how good they can be. Hell, I think Lukas should be S-tier, but defensive performance isn't weighted as heavily as offensive performance.
  14. You should run Ignis or Bonfire instead of Dragon Fang. Corrin's special refinement is extremely powerful in the player's hands. With double drives or double spurs for his C-skill and Seal he can boost his support partner to the point of getting wins in 90-99% of all match-ups.
  15. Just use him anyway. You spent the time and resources building him so you mind as well get some use out of him. In the future, wait until the next bonus units are announced before you spend feathers to build a unit. You can do all the busy work like SP grinding with the 4* version, and if you do end up needing a bonus unit then you can promote and use shards and crystals to level them up in no time. +10 Amelia with boosted stats is fun. Effectively 220 BST. Plus she brings me up to the "almost exclusively armors" range of 740+ where the duo of Caeda + Lukas dominates.
  16. It is possible for many units to reach 50 Spd, but the only units I actually ever see do so are Ayra and Raven. From what I have seen in the 740+ score range, the Spd wars have been abandoned for Bold Fighter and Quick Riposte doubling. Sorry, I meant no offense to you in specific. Oddly enough, Fjorm's default Atk/Res Atk/Def Bond performs the best against the enemies I want her to focus on, and against the entire cast as well. I got Nowi for that, and Caeda for back-up. With Fjorm, I can switch Nowi to a Def refined Lightning Breath from her Res refined one.
  17. With +Spd, I absolutely would not want to run QR3 and the Speed +3 seal. Besides, I would be upgrading to her from Lukas to score higher in AA. That means her special will be Aether/Galeforce/Ice Mirror, and her seal will have a 200-240 SP value. I've always disliked how characters are put in a vacuum when it comes to their match-ups against the entire cast. I will mess around with a simulator later to account for the Drive support she will be getting from her teammates, and to see how she handles the types of enemies I want her to. At this point, I think it is just a debate between which Breath to give her. +Atk if you give him Poison dagger. Otherwise +Spd.
  18. Yeah, Ideally I would have liked a +Atk/-Res for extra damage with Ice Mirror but I never got one with -Res. The only positive thing is that she shouldn't really need too much additional damage when attacking mages since their def is usually low or they are Winter Tharja and WTA deals with that. I would just have to finally give Nowi QR3 for her B-skill since she has been using the seal. If she is going to primarily be a mage and Dragon killer, Warding Breath will probably be best since QR will be giving her 2 hits regardless, and I don't see the 1-2 points of damage on Ice Mirror making a big difference between her OHKO'ing or not. Anyone have anything to sway me into +Spd/-HP? If not, I will most likely be finishing my Fjorm in the next two days.
  19. I saw that team too. Thankfully I have been using Lilina this week instead of Camus. I don't think I could have won with Caeda, Nowi, Lukas, and Camus.
  20. That's just it, my personal preference is to have highly specialized units (aside from Nowi who I just learned can solo Julius's GHB on Infernal). I would rather have Felicia or Halloween Sakura who can bait and kill every single type of mage. Kagero or Sothe for OHKOs with Poison dagger (would probably use Sothe with the Peshkatz though). Saizo for the disgusting things he can do to physical units with a Close Counter build. I'm not saying Matt is bad at all. I'm just saying that he isn't my cup of tea. And it just goes to show that anyone can become "the most powerful unit in the game!" if you build them the right way. Kudos to you for using your favorite dagger unit despite him being considered one of the worst. Anyone have an opinion on which Fjorm I should use for the base of my +10? I have the neutral one we all got at +8 but then I have a +Atk/-Spd and a +Spd/-HP that both look good to me. I have both Breath skills for potential fodder, and plenty of feathers for any other skills like QR3 or Aether. I'm leaning towards the +Atk/-Spd one and running her with her base kit + QR3 seal, but the +Spd/-HP one could score plenty of doubles on her own, and would be able to run extra Drive support or Def Tactics for her Seal.
  21. I'm in a more than 50 way tie for Rank #586 with my score of 5214. And when I could see people ahead of me there were over 70 people with a score of 5216. Because of the ties, there are definitely more than 1000 people getting the max rewards.
  22. My score's average is just under 732 and it is well within the threshold of staying. If you fish for your higher scores you should be able to stay. Arena is such a vital source for getting resources that I don't care about using my favorites so much as I just want to be getting as many feathers per week as possible. Once I get my 7-win, now 5-win, streak to keep me in tier 20, then I sometimes switch it up if I want to use other teams. Nowi certainly wasn't one of my favorites from Awakening, and I still haven't played SoV, but I love Lukas simply for his performance in Heroes. Point is that having a core of +10s to get you the max rewards is worth the investment even if they aren't your absolute favorites. Team balance isn't important either, my core has 2 blues and 1 red and my bonus unit each week is almost always a 3rd blue or a 2nd red. As long as you have a strong unit to cover their weakness, you can totally run 3 reds. Which your Amelia seems to be a pretty good candidate for that. Speaking of fishing, I'm up to 573 dueling crests. I just don't ever need to use them outside of when we need 10 Arena wins over two days for VG rewards.
  23. I have never used the Blessing bonuses for increased arena scoring. It is always my core of +10 Caeda, Nowi, and Lukas with a bonus unit added on (usually +2 or less). Do you have three +10 units? Just use them with high scoring skills, and add a bonus unit and you should be able to stay in tier 20 no problem. If you don't have three +10s that should be your short-term to intermediate-term goal. My score of 3658 is rank #1795 right now.
  24. All of that Steady Breath "wasted" on one unit. One of my biggest regrets is getting my B!ike to +3. I have plenty of fodder now thanks to really good luck on pity breakers, but I don't think I will ever be a big enough whale to +10 him. Steady Breath is just too good for most builds. Although, If I was whale enough, I would totally +10 a B!ike and run him the same way as my Lukas because he is just stupid good.
