  1. WHAT. THE. FUCK. Alphonse finished with 21 nodes Leaving Sharena with 3 and us with 6. Stupid-ass Team Sharena only attacked Anna the entire time. Alphonse was right at their doorstep every other hour leaving Alphonse to be forced to attack Anna because they had no border with Sharena, and Sharena never tried to take the areas back. It was so stupid. Early on it was 14:2:14, but Sharena had to let her big brother trick her cause she is so damn nice. First battle we had 5, second battle now 6. I really hope I can get some good luck on the third battle. With a maximum of 14,000 feathers so far, 5,300 is not a good start. Ouch, and I thought I had it bad. Yeah, you want to be able to kill most if not all of the enemies that attack you. Armors don't do well because most enemies have higher Def than Res. That's probably why I have had such success using Nowi. Ideally I would want one of each color dragon with the Steady Breath, QR combo for baiting, a super healer with double Savage, a dancer (either green Azura), 2 ranged Cavalry, and a Galforcer (either a Cavalry or a Flyer).
  2. You will never be able to get a good score while auto-battling on Infernal. Enemies respawn and warp the same exact way that your units do. My starting 8 is 3 Cavalry (Gunnthra, B!Lyn, Sigurd), 4 Infantry (Nowi, Lukas, Genny, PA!Azura), and 1 Flyer (Caeda). I always try to position Nowi (Aether, Steady Breath, Renewal, QR seal) near a camp so she can kill them all on the Enemy phase. Naga tomes and certain Greens might prevent this so then Caeda can wait 2 spaces from the warp tiles to kill all of the enemy mages. Both a Naga tome and a Brave bow on the same map would give me issues since Caeda has the Guidance seal, but Naga tome have been pretty rare. PA!Azura is usually waiting 2 spaces away from the unit who is doing the baiting with her Drive Res 2 and Drive Def 2 seal for defensive support. If I get lucky and all of the enemies are melee units, my super tank Lukas can be the one doing the baiting. While, hopefully, all of the enemies suicide on turn 1, My 3 Cavalry wait on the edge of the enemies attack range to rush in and take a camp. Best case scenario I take a camp on turn 2, sometimes it takes until turn 3 or 4 if things aren't going well. Once the first camp is down I set up to do the same with the 2nd camp if there is one. Once all camps are taken, I move in on the enemy base. Genny has Gravity + with the razzle dazzle combo and double Savage Blow. Aside from turn 1 PA!Azura will almost always be refreshing Genny. This makes it extremely easy to clear out the enemy when they bunch up as long as I target enemies that Genny can kill. The ones that are left are significantly weakened. Caeda has Galeforce which often allows her to kill an enemy and then get a hit on a camp or just kill 2 enemies. I really should use more Galeforce. I have been thinking of swapping Sigurd out for Brave Roy. My Outrealm also has Sharena stuck in the middle with the least area and Alphonse and Anna have had around 15. Alphonse keeps gaining more though and Sharena only seems to want to attack Anna's nodes. It's really annoying because Alphonse is most likely going to finish with 16+ and the rest will be split between us and Sharena.
  3. I am really sick of people saying that there is no strategy involved in Rival Domain maps. I always play on the Infernal difficulty and I am able to clear every map in 6-8 turns with a maximum score while only losing 0-2 of my starting 8 along the way. I have only been using my own units for the Grand Conquest maps. I could probably make it even easier on myself if I used some of my friend's +10 units. Even if you are F2P, as long as you have been playing for 9 months or longer, there is no excuse for not having the proper resources and unit preparations needed to do well in this mode. Even without a lot of time invested, you have as many as 100 friend's units to choose from to build a team that is more than capable of getting reliable wins.
  4. It is still super early. The map layout will change a lot by the end. Save your Lances for the last two or three hours and remember that all of the neighboring areas will receive "splash damage" scoring. Last battle saw Alphose go from 2 to 20 and then back down to 7 for the final in my Outrealm.
  5. Ok, my one gripe with the mode now is that we don't get any more Conquest Lances. In the future I will be saving some for later, but with 22 rounds times 3 battles, there just isn't enough Stamina to be active over the course of 66 rounds. Honestly, I would have been fine with just one battle. I think 4 hour rounds would work much better. 2 hours is too quick. A knock-out is big but it goes away too fast. Imagine how much of an advantage a team would have if they scored a key knock-out within the first hour of a 4 hour round. 11 rounds would be plenty to see exciting map changes. 22 is just too much if you ask me. For the next time they do this, they should increase the Stamina to 16 (or more), but keep the most you can use in one battle at 8. The Conquest Lances would still fully restore whatever the max is so we would be able to contribute much more frequently. Maybe a better solution would be to have a fixed amount of stamina per round that gets reset with every round. With no more Conquest lances and 1 stamina per hour, I won't be able to do very much for the remainder of this event...
  6. Took my break at work to spent my last Lances in the final round and Anna was backed all the way up to her base... We were able to get a knock-out or two and finished with 5 areas though so that was good I guess? I'm still on Team Anna but i'm in a different Outrealm now. Hopefully I have some better teammates this time around. The map looks much more even this time around. No more of Sharena's Secret Garden.
  7. So in my Outrealm, Alphonse went from having 2 territories to having 18 in like 3 rounds. Meanwhile on Team Anna we have never gotten above 11 or 12 I think. Mostly we have had 5-7. And then there is Sharena who hasn't been below 11 since the initial round when everyone had 10. Aside from the map needing a pretty big overhaul, I'm still enjoying this. It would be nice if we could get more Conquest Lances from other means, but having it be so limited is probably the best. I have a pretty good starting 8 set up, and I can consistently clear maps on the Infernal difficulty in 7-8 turns. I have been only using my own units as well.
  8. Ok, Sharena definitely has an unfair advantage. She can hold as many as 16 areas while only having 3 borders. Alphonse can get 18 with 3 borders, but it is much less likely to happen as he would need to take over more than half of Anna's area with one of his borders being adjacent to Anna's HQ. From what I have seen, there hasn't been a single knock-out in my Outrealm yet. I have found that it is best to spend all of your stamina in big chunks. Plus it saves a ton of time.
  9. I'm really liking this mode. Good players can actually make a difference. And I think it is a bit deeper than people might be realizing right now. I feel like Sharena's area has a bit of an advantage with those spots in the bottom right not having huch threat of being taken. Alphonse went from 14 areas to 2 in two rounds. Now Sharena has 20 and we of team Anna have 8. Sharena is going to lose quite a few next round though. This would be awful. Enemies would bunch up and be very difficult to fight through and then destroy the base on one Player phase. You just need to invest in some really good Enemy phase units. I've had my Nowi kill 6+ enemies in one Enemy phase on several occasions. Also, splash damage is wonderful.
  10. Anna's team in Outrealm 613 here. I like the mode so far, but it is only round 3 of 22. People are over-reacting way too early. With just a little bit of coordination, 3 or more people on the same team in the same Outrealm could focus on specific nodes and use all of their stamina to take over areas very quickly with knock-outs. So it is probably best that there are only 200 people per team in an Outrealm. As far as the team leader goes, I just look at it as Red, Blue, and Green team. My teammates could be a little bit smarter (or more active?). We are down to 7 areas but we are attacking really deep into Sharenas territory... There is definitely strategy involved in Rival Domains maps. The teleporting just makes it a little bit different. You need to approach a base defensively with Enemy Phase units while putting your offensive units in position to storm the base on the Player Phase when the time is right. I struggled with it at first but in my most recent run, I only lost 1 unit. Autobattle will only get you poor results on higher difficulties. You need to come up with new strategies for the new maps. Wings of Mercy is going to be good for units who join later, and AoE skills can really help clear out stong enemies that are bunched together.
  11. Damn, I just checked Zelgius's stats. I never noticed before that he has the same Def as Lukas. I would still go with Lukas though because of how prevalent armor-effective weapons are. Plus, even if the majority of armors are green, there are a ton of extremely powerful Sword and Lance using Infantry, Cavalry, and Flying units that Lukas can deal with better. Zelgius's advantage is that he can be a major threat on the player phase as well as the enemy phase. As far as a pure physical tank goes, my vote is for Lukas.
  12. Lukas would like to have a word with you two. Especially since the only weapon with effective damage on him is the 5Mt Poison Dagger which is much more rarely used than Falchions and armor slaying weapons.
  13. I would certainly recommend +10ing a Lukas with this build. The only negative is that his BST isn't as high as Fjorm's or Shiro's is so he scores slightly less than them. Although it is much easier to get 11 copies and the preferred nature of Lukas. Steady Breath makes the build. Frederick and Xander would be significantly less effective with a Steady Stance 3 build. Draug and Hinata are the best Sword candidates for the build. For Axes, Amelia, Sheena, Winter Chrom, B!ike, and Summer Xander all have enough Defense to run it.
  14. Sorry this is so late, I've been on vacation. He does too good sometimes. It is a pretty standard build for him, though, nothing too special. It isn't so much the tier 20 meta as it is the +10 meta. You only see mages in like less than 5% of Arena battles in the +10 meta. That build for Lukas can handle everything except for Green Dragons and mages, which I have covered by his teammates. I have really good Spur/Drive/Rally support on my Arena teams so he can tank even Blue dragons well enough. It really depends on how the Nowis are built, sometimes he can OHKO on the counter but most of the time it takes the two hits and he is left with very low health but it doesn't matter that much because I run my own Nowi to counter-kill other Nowis most of the time. Even if he has to tank a Nowi, Swords and Lances can't hurt him afterwards anyway, and I have him S-supported with Caeda so he doesn't need to take on any of the common Greens very often, although with a fortification tile he can tank axe Armors.like a champ. tl:dr - He has been my MVP since he was finished. edit - also, he has Drive Spd 2 now for Arena Score. Atk Smoke is an option now since I pulled two spare Brave Lyns on the last Legendary banner, and it is probably his best C-skill.
  15. I usually shoot for top 1000, and that will take about 230k+ usually. Although, in the last mini TT, I had to go over 200k for that one. I am a bit less familiar with the 8000 feather reward range, but 175k should be safe. 180k is currently rank 1100. I was as low as 900 ish after playing a whole bunch on my days off, and I have been doing about 15k per day since. Top 1000 is probably currently 185k and you would need to do around 18-20k per day until the end to stay there. Probably more on the last day for everyone's final push.
  16. Just keep in mind that you will need to either get into a very comfortable score range or play quite a bit on the final day as everyone will be making their final push. Specifically in the last 8 hours or so. Don't think for one second that getting into the 3000's will be safe enough to not have to play up until the reset happens. You could easily drop 1000 spots in the final hour. Wouldn't want all of the time and effort to go to waste just to drop out at the last moment.
  17. Sha-ray-nah? I have always and will continue to say Sha-ree-nah. Sharena and Sheena were two completely new characters to a lot of people. I myself still have no idea who Sheena is. But yeah, lots of people screwed those names up in the first few months of the game.
  18. I think you misread something... Fire Emblem 16 not Final Fantasy 16 My money is on a buff to the Askrans, btw. It will eventually happen. The problem is that IS can't make money off of it because they are not in the summoning pool and therefore they can't release a banner for them.
  19. Broke 120k for day 7. Progress yesterday was good. Current score of 125,520 is good for rank #1015.
  20. I expected him to be the one. I haven't played with the animations on since the very first day the game came out.
  21. FML. How the hell am I supposed to save my orbs and not spend anything when there are all of these banners I want to pull on?? I already skipped the Counter banner even though I could use like 5 Takumis. I would love to get more Leos and Eirikas just mean I don't need to use 20k feathers. This stupid Easter banner comes and I want them all. And the Thracia banner is only a few weeks away.
  22. You would be correct. Oh god, it is going to be Chrom, Lucina, Lissa, and Robin dressed as Taguel...
  23. The ears look abnormally long and too natural to be part of an outfit like last years Easter units. And they very well could just say "Fuck it, we don't know how to implement beast stones. Let's just give them normal weapons!" Also, the poses in the silhouette are so abnormal and crooked looking. They don't look to be standing up straight, like they could be on all fours. And the figure on the right has really freakishly long fingers. I think they really went out of their way to make the silhouette look as screwed up as possible so that no one could figure it out.
