  1. Elieson did the whole judgement thread fad years ago. domedome
  2. that was unwarranted because you haven't actually been involved with anyone who does ltc. the rate the unit threads don't count. On topic: GK's look cool and have pretty high caps. In exchange for 6 move, they get axes and higher promotion gains. This means that Forde/Kyle become better than mediocre combat units. It also means Gilliam can catch up!. Medis Tome!trainee->Knight-> GK Amelia is fun if you saved her for postgame.
  3. you kinda made so that all mounts are useful lategame lol. The only real complain I can think of is that Prissy falls off around the "Get the damn boots" chapter really hard, since her str cap is 23 and she gets no crit bonus or prf weapon like fiora/serra/pent. Pegs get a 28 spd cap and decent caps all around. I've used all the flyers without any issues lol. Dorcas seems to be the best cav, since matt's unreliable and prissy falls off so badly Karel's really underwhelming, but thanks for the items there. Lolusing Marcus in combat.
  4. considering the fact that I'd probably want jaffar to be my axereaver bot because he's not liable to randomly die against most of a map :p i'm thinking klok might have made mages too good, wyverns/paladins/heroes fall off past ch28.
  5. I'm pretty sure kent having good growths overall is nice. Legault's pretty cool too. Idk about geitz/ I'm pretty sure the reason Nino sucks is more due to the prevalence of holy weapons lategame due to her class.
  6. Black.Lantern.Corps. Also, having heroes that have survived MULTIPLE crisis in dimensions/temporal stuff. And base Thanos wasn't that tough back in the day. He was beaten by Captain Mar-Vell. [Tho being the universal protector and all, he had a vaguely undefinable level of power that was likely on par with Firelord/Silver Surfer. ] also, read Lumi's [Thor Odinson's] posts. Thor is considered to be one of the most powerful terrestrial heroes. Considering the fact that Gladiator/Hyperion [Marvel's Superman pastiche's] have fought on par with Thor and got beat when he gets a little power upgrade or goes full on berserk What are you trying to prove anyways? Bringing up Odinforce/ warriors madness [the 90's sucked.]/ king thor/etc. doesn't bring up a damn thing. Considering the fact that alot of notable heros have gotten temporary power boosts. [Cap getting super strength back in the day.]
  7. I think the issue is that a lot of people are overly familiar with the Marvel Age iteration of the various characters and tend to not look at the other stories. yeah but I doubt she's going to get killed in 12 issues by a villain noone really remembers. Did you not get anything that Lumi posted. Oh and Thor gets the Belt of Strength too, Bjornbjorn, and several millenia of combat experience. If we go by power levels, then just throw out anything that counts as a universal abstract, elder entity, or phoenix/infinity gem wielders. Sentry is likely more powerful, but he's a schizophrenic. Besides, Molecule Man has the SAME power set. Base power Thor has been stated as using up to 30% of his full physical power in most battles on 616. This just means shit like fighting the wrecking crew, zaniac, etc. [Oh I do love me some Walt Simonson] Full power normal Thor took out Worthy-enchanted Hulk and Thing, the two most powerful of the Worthy. For reference, they shat all over Red Hulk [Who has power comparable to the regular Hulk]. From my knowledge, many of the so called "big guns" on 616's earth based hero community need to be powered up to get to Thor's base power. Except for Hercules when he was still a demigod, any hulk family member, maybe Colossus/Thing (idk), Captain Britain (He kinda merged with the omniversal energy source), and maybe Godslayer!Iron Man. the only part about ultimate that was readable was the spiderman stuff. And I think that's got more to do with telling stories of a teenage peter parker. Have you heard about how ultimate Reed Richards was castrated by Ultimate Sue Richards? What the flying fuck. In short, Thor's simple to follow due to the linear history he's had at Marvel. UNLIKE Spidey or the X-Men. On topic, Odinson will always be there and will eventually wield Mjolnir again. The lady Thor will likely die or be relegated to a B list character as time passes.
  8. Thor without his hammer is a half elder god that happens to be one of the physically most powerful characters in Marvel. The hammer just gives him the elemental powers, flight, and portals.
  9. Gilliam. in all seriousness, go with Forde since he'd be mediocre anyways.
  10. It's been 40+ years since Peter Parker was in High School. Of course, he was doing fine before fucking one more day made him have a deal with the devil just to negate his marriage just so some fucking cunt of a writer could tell old fashioned spidey stories. Yah. I totally want to see this year's big Secret Wars event to cross over into the MCU. Also, female Thor's interesting. We'll always have Thor Odinson, and he WILL eventually get his hammer back. Female Thor will probably go the way of Beta Ray Bill and become a nice B level hero. [Not like Thunderstrike who died after 12 issues of his own series. :/ Some character's don't really work outside of the race/gender they're in. Luke Cage would be kinda wierd as a white guy, and a female Wolverine and Thing already exists. [X-23 and She-Thing] Hell, I want to see a female Dr. Doom. and in reply to Boron's comment on costume changes and whatnot. Longass post with potential spoilers.
  11. It was an impulse buy [All I knew about the Total War series at the time was that it was supposed be a series of good quality strategy games.], and I bought Fall of the Samurai. I THOUGHT I was getting the base game+fall of the samurai, but it turns out that Fall of the Samurai is a stand-alone game. And most of it seems to be naval battles. :?
  12. Isn't the whole selling point of TB's their massive speed and having 2 SS weapons? I'd say that Zihark's the most useful overall. He comes in a team that needs all the help they can get, has earth affinity, and isn't a bad investment AND he's got decent bases. Well, he also gets earthxearth support with Nolan and Volug, which is nice. Mia's the one with access to the most resources, but it's the GM's. You get tons of shit to help her out. Supports, resources, forges, and whatnot. But then again, she gets no 2 range with the exception of incredibly rare storm swords/tempest blades and weakass wind edges. But her main selling point is being able to consistently double things in p3 and p4. Also, she's got a decent enough defense growth. Edward's got the best potential, but his bases are kinda mediocre in HM. He requires like +1 AS for every chapter in p1 to keep doubling. Caladbolg is a good weapon, but Edward is just kinda risky to use in HM unless you put absolute trust in those growths. Stefan's unfuckable. Just throw a few goddess icons and you've got a solid endgame filler unit. Lucia's valuable in one chapter in p2, and kinda shitty when she returns. Usable, but not really worth the investment by the time p4 rolls around. Personally, when I want to raise a TB, I go with Zihark or Mia.
  13. no durandal in Jerme's map. you put a wo dao there. no wait fuck. I think I fucked up somewhere.
  14. What I kinda mean is that an extra stimulant+what is arguably the best easily obtained legendary weapon is kinda a better deal than an extra chest, a few more decentish stealables+ better way to recruit. Though I'm using 3 mages so the extra Fimbulvetr is handy.
  15. Could add something that would make Jerme's route a better pick than Kenneth's? Like give that route a stimulant or something? Kenneth's route nets you a stimulant+Durandal.
  16. I guess Spock finally beamed up with Scotty and Bones. Thanks for making a part of my childhood memorable.
  17. Input: -Miles Morales was conceived in Marvel's second most popular universe. AFTER Peter Parker died, in a storyline that was kind of decent. -I'm not sure how to react to the changing of Johnny Storm. The Human Torch is a rather venerable name in Marvel's history, being one of their A-listers during the Golden Age [Jim Hammond] AND Johnny Storm being one of the more recognizeable of the Marvel Age heroes. I'm just sort of fucking pissed at the radical change. I mean if you're gonna change a character, make it one that isn't as recognizeable [iris Allen in the Flash going from Caucasian-> Black. No big deal since she's not as recognizable as the Flash or his Rogues.], or make it a hero that has a semi-blank slate due to being obscure. [ I'm pretty sure if Fox needed to put forth a hero with Fire-based powers that wasn't white and had a recognizeable name, [Just fucking take someone like Stingray or Comet Man and make them black. They're pretty much C-list heroes with interesting premises.] Or you could try establishing a hero that's already not white, like Sunspot of the X-Men/New Mutants. We've seen him in Days of Future Past's future battle. He' -Before someone rags on the MCU Nick Fury for being black, I'd like to point out that the version comes from the Ultimate Universe. The Sam Jackson Nick Fury is in the mainstream Marvel Universe too, as Nick Fury Jr. [Nick Fury sort of died a while back.] Changing icons this much is stupid. The Human Torch is one of the more iconic characters from Marvel.
  18. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/27/arts/television/leonard-nimoy-spock-of-star-trek-dies-at-83.html Goodbye Mr. Spock.
  19. Yes. It keeps from from going into social maladjustments and whatnot. It also helps that I cuss in yiddish and gaelic due to my father doing so on occassion. By helps, I mean it makes people think I'm not saying "fuck" or "shit" or "assnugget" or "cunt" all the time. Let's not talk about the people I talk to that noone else sees.
  20. Parry- Fe8 Great Shield for Infantry Sword units.
